  1. ive currently got an emanage blue sitting about awaiting to get fitted however im tempted to sell it and fund for the ultimate version. what are the main plus points for the ultimate over the blue version?
  2. yep doesnt matter if its from 5spd or 6spd as long as its not from an auto.
  3. except for parcels Now its xmas time you get a lot more casual posties floating about so beware.
  4. As long as the address is correct the postman has an obligation to deliver to that address no matter what the recipient is called. What you should do is DO NOT open the letters and write "return to sender" at the front then dump them back in the pillar box. The letters will be returned to the sender and hopefully you will be removed from their mailing list. Also if you get a temporary/ new postman how are they supposed to know who lives in there? I wouldnt be happy if parcels are left outside my door. However because i live in a flat sometimes the postman cant get into the building and i actually would rather have the postman leaving them somewhere in the building. If you dont have a flat number either then some new/temporary postman wont actually know where to deliver to. Would you rather have them sending undeliverable mail back to the sender?
  5. just seen your pics mas and they look fab. BTW im rsp too. so dunno if i should copy you. You going to add angel eyes to the front?
  6. Got a bomex front and oem spats (cos i dont like the pointy bits from the bomex ones). Dunno which skirts to go with. Bomex or oem again?
  7. new problem found!! passenger side electric window is now busted. I guess the fuse for that must have busted as well. Does anyone know where abouts this fuse goes?
  8. got a spare pair of project mu brake pads to fit jspecs. these are supposed to be as good as trd ones. so these might be for sale soon.
  9. installed new battery and reconnected hids. all working fine and car started up ok.
  10. Followup to this http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=90016 Took the car to another local garage and its the front wheel bearing coming out. So got that changed and problem fixed. I told the first garage that i thought it was the wheel bearing but they insisted the noise was worn brake pads. Idiots! Went to Halfords with my old battery and there is no charge whatsoever. The 1st garage actually tried to jump start my car but was unsuccessful and one of the fuse kept on sparking out. Any guys know what they might have done that actually messed it up? Its actually the recommended Halfords calcium maintenance free battery.Battery was within its warranty so got a brand new one as replacement
  11. never heard of that company and i wouldnt wana be the first to test the water
  12. Idiots stole 2 of mine as well. Why cant they just do the job properly and steal the whole set? Anyway they're silver piaa ones that came with my wheels. Ended up replacing them with locking ones i bought from ebay. Same idiot probably tried to steal them again because i noticed there were fingerprints all over the valves of my dirty wheels after i had them fitted.
  13. To be honest i really cant tell you whether the stock brake shields are still there and i dont know what brand the pads are either. The car is going to another garage on sat morn . Hopefully they will temporarily cure the grinding noise and then i will go to my usual garage later. Just dont think its safe to drive in the motorway just now
  14. probably a little louder. You can here it through each revolution the wheel makes.
  15. Just popped the bonnet up and theyve disconnected the HIDs from the battery. Fingers crossed theyre ok. Im gonna try wiring them back on when i have time tomorrow. Yeah think i might have to get the car towed. The recommended garages are all about 30 motorway minutes away. Scared it might be a wheel bearing about to go. Been driving mum's 1.2 polo and im pretty impressed with the fuel economy.
  16. Well ive noticed a grinding noise at the front recently which becomes noticeable only when u drive slowly. i decided to take it to a local mot station on the sat to get it checked out because i didnt want to drive it too far. Phoned them up to ask what the diagnosis was and they told me the rear brake pads were worn and they had already replaced them with new ones. Bit annoyed because ive got a spare pair of project mu pads lying in the house that i was gonna wait for my pads to wear out before fitting. Now they're just gonna lie around for another while. i went to the garage the next morning and they told me the battery was now dead and couldnt start the car. They tried numerous attempts to start the car but car wouldnt move and they tried blaming it on the clifford alarm. I decided to leave them to it and headed to work. I was an hour late and the boss was not happy. Came back this morning and they told me the fuse had blown and the battery had a problem. The battery is the recommended calcium one from halfords and its only been in the car for 3 months. They claimed that the fuse blew up because of incorrect wiring of my amp. I actually disconnected the fuse from the amp to the battery so how can it possibly cause that? Plus I have been running the amp for 2 years without any problems. My HIDs are now not working either. My HIDs have been running fine for the last 2 months so how can they suddenly blame it on wiring? i dont know! The car still has that grinding noise that i complained about at the start. Not impressed at all.
  17. Will you not loose hot air? how u gonna defrost the car?
  18. i think the o/d button flashes when the tranny overheats.
  19. Just found this on clublexus. Something worthwhile to bookmark http://arrc.epnet.com/autoasp/index.asp?sid=26230328&uid=s9072919.main.autorefctr
  20. Might need this btw so if anyone has one handy then can u give me a buzz. cheers Gary
  21. Just wondering if u add the oem optional extras (eg skirts, brakes leather seats etc) then will i have to tell insurance and will it then bump up the premium up?
  22. hi there i posted a wtb item and courtesy of LeeT he pointed out you might have a few bits f/s. Im requiring a 5spd driveshaft, hydraulic lines and the shifter assembly. Let me know if u have any? gary
