  1. Spotted a Black supe in the Mid term carpark at Luton airport last Thursday. Anyone on here?
  2. Good luck Martin! I got married in St. Lucia a few months ago, the last place I expected to see cars like the supe! The first few miles from the airport I saw nothing but smashed up cars and lots of old Mitsubishi heaps. Then, nearer the capital, I couldn't believe how many Scoobies, Skylines and Evo's there were! Took nearly 2 weeks before I saw a supe, but I did see one! You can't get away from them it seems.... Good luck, Ian
  3. I am a Semiconductor equipment tool owner for what, I guess, used to be the same company as you! I work in the Swindon plant. As you say, pays the bills and keeps the supe on the road so not complaining. Working 4 on 4 off at the moment but switching to days soon... Ian
  4. You can use Lexmark carts but you'll need to modify either the cart or the printer. Some more info Here on which carts to use and what to mod. Showed this to a friend the other day and he confirms that it does work! Ian
  5. Congratulations! You have the big brakes - Sadly you have the wrong pads... Ian
  6. Hi guys! Shrek55 - Welcome to the board! I've got those parking sensors on the other car - annoy me too! I disconnected them after the wife reversed into a wall! Not much point in having them... for her anyway! Whats the spec. of your car? Sooper-supra - Thats the one! Veilside front. Is he local? First time I've seen him.
  7. Very good! Reminded me of this I got sent a few months ago... Very strange how the mind works...
  8. Gutted for you mate! Shame that air bag deployed.....

    MOT questions...

Thanks guys, just needed to make sure there hadn't been a change since I last took a car for an MOT a few years ago. I've heard talk of MOTs going electronic in the past, assumed it may of actually happened. Thanks for the input, Ian
  10. Hi All, I've just had my sister in law on the phone, she has her car booked in for an MOT tomorrow, it's an old K plate Mini so it WILL fail. Her current MOT expires today. She has been told by the garage that they are now linked up, by computer, to DVLA and she will not be allowed to drive the car away if it fails! Obviously she could just take it, they have no right to keep her car, but can she expect something nasty through the post? I haven't needed an MOT done for years, does anybody know the score now? Any truth to this? Thanks, Ian

    M4 Protest

Count me in too! I'll be there!
  12. One black with bodykit K* HKS going past the Renault building in west Swindon on Saturday. The other a silver one, yesterday around 2:30, Halfords carpark. Looked like you were pulling the dash apart! Would have stopped for a chat but I had to go pick the kids up from school! Anyone on here???
  13. Bunch of Tossers! Where did you take it Graham? I'll remember to steer clear come MOT time!
  14. If I have translated this correctly... Rear upper control arm bushes?? See here
  15. Thanks again guys, eldudereno - you have PM. Nic - thanks for the pictures. I'll have to dig the bag of bits out that came with the car, I'm sure all that's missing is the top cover and the black pipe. Hopfully these will be the same as the non VVTi and easier to find... Thanks, Ian
  16. Cheers Guys! Yes the car is VERY clean. Almost mint. The main reason it took me 4 months to find the right car was that I was looking for a clean and tidy example. I looked at loads (mainly from dealers) and they all had problems with panel gaps and dents etc. Nic - Will check out the stock filter route. I have the main body of the stock air box (the bit the MAF fits into), what other bits are needed? Bens747 - Nice car dude! eldudereno - The tipto is good. Takes a bit of getting used to. I only use the tipto when I need that extra bit of control or engine braking. It does let you shift up before redline when at WOT which is great as I hate reving cars to the redline when you don't need to. The tipto just sets the highest gear the box can select so when you stop it will reselect 1st to pull away and then change up as normal untill you get to the selected gear - then it will just rev to redline and stay there! As far as other auto's I've driven, the only one is a Ford Galaxy and there really is no comparison... Ian
  17. First off HI everyone! Great board you have here! After 10 long years with a MKIII Supra I've finally been able to upgrade to a MKIV Bought it a couple of months ago now and more than satisfied with it! Got to say it's an awesome piece of machinery. It's a 1998 VVTI TT Tipto. Wasn't sure about the tiptronic to start with but after finding a bad connection on the Delimiter/speedo converter it's much better. Was beginning to think I should have gone for a manual, not any more! A few pics here The only thing I need to change is the filter! It's got one of those HKS hair net things on... Ian T
