  1. Here Amazing, back in the UK for a race and can't get on the internet. By the way Todd, I think that has been posted before
  2. A penguin takes his car to a mechanic because there is a funny noise coming from under the bonnet. "Leave it with me," says the mechanic. "Come back in 20 minutes." So, off goes the penguin. It's a pretty hot day, and he's a cool weather kind of guy so on spotting an ice cream van he goes and buys himself a 99. Now, penguins aren't very good at eating ice creams, the lack of opposable thumbs makes it tricky. So by the time the penguin has finished his 99, he is completely covered in ice cream. It is all over his beak and all over his flippers. Feeling a little sticky, he goes back to the garage. "Oh, hello," says the mechanic, wiping his hands on a cloth. "Hello," replies the penguin. "Was it anything serious? "Not really, but it looks like you've blown a seal". "Oh no, no, no!" says the penguin, wiping his mouth. "It's just ice cream"
  3. Saturday is probably better than race-day. Less crowds, bikes out for two hours, qualifying plus support races. And no five hour queue to get out.
  4. I'll be there;) Find out who it's with.
  5. You've wasted half an hour already with this thread:)
  6. Stansted's not in a city!!!! Plus once in it's no escape:rolleyes:
  7. Screwed then really. Go into WH Smith and read mags/papers for free.
  8. Starbucks then, and stay here and chat with us.
  9. Jurgen, I was prepared to travel to where I thought the job would be done well. Unfortunately this was not the case, but Envy are willing to put right what somebody they trusted has done wrong. So I am prepared to travel back and get it sorted. It's a 500 mile round trip for me, but with the beauty of e-mails and digital photography Envy were able to see my complaints and able to decide on the course of action. I don't think that distance of clients should hold you back. Does that mean that you would not sell a car to someone in Cornwall because of that thinking?
  10. I am unaware of who did the work as my contract is with Envy so I have no need to know who the third party is, maybe Gareth or Kevin will be able to tell you.
  11. Exactly that, all to often the vultures circle if something is wrong and I know if I had said anything about this a month ago the knives would have been out. It seems like what Alex said has an ounce of truth in it.
  12. Because exactly that. Too many people slag off on here before waiting to see if the matter can be resolved. I could have done that and might not have got the same result. I never once said anything bad about the work and even posted up pics to show what had been done. I think it is about time that a trader was given a pat on the back for after-sales service if they have made a mistake and are prepared to put it right.
  13. No you never read it wrong. When the car came back from Envy it had some 'issues'. These were not all picked up when I was at their place as it had been delayed at the valeter's, thus making me late leaving for the four hour journey. A quick look did pick up a number of little niggles and Gareth and Kevin said to let them know and they will see what can be done. Having finally got home, the car was put to bed. Next day I had a good look around and was extremely displeased by what I found. I won't list all items but needless to say it was not good, including broken bodywork, overspray and the finish on the paintwork was poor. I mailed Envy with the full list and eventually after a lot of toing and froing they sent a letter to the resprayer giving him seven days to put the matters right. After a week Envy informed me that the painter had 'just got the letter' and he would get back to them. Well another week passed and Gareth contacted me yesterday (June 26th) to say that Envy will have the car resprayed by another bodyshop and will endeavour to put right the wrongs that also occured. Although this has taken a matter of time (I collected the car on 25th May) I think we are coming to a conclusion and I am sure the end result will be closer to what Envy and myself expected in the first place. There are many other bits that I could have put in here but did not feel the need to on a public forum, which is also why I put this in chat and not members only, because I believe neither Envy nor myself have nothing to hide from in this matter. As of this moment I have paid for a job that is not of the standard I expected and so has Envy to the painter. They are chasing him now for reimbursement, but if they don't get it they are putting their money where their mouth is and funding the complete respray. Both Gareth and Kevin are adamant that they want the best for their customers and if this resolves matters then I think they have kept their word. Please feel free to ask any questions, either here or by pm, if I feel an answer to a pm should be on the site I will put it here unless you request otherwise. Cheers Tim
  14. A psychiatrist is addressing a group of people who have all had experiences with the supernatural. He asks: "Who here has seen a ghost?" Everyone puts up their hands. He then asks: "Who here has spoken with a ghost?" Half the audience puts up their hands. "And who here has touched a ghost?" Ten percent of the crowd puts up their hands. He asks: "And who here has made love with a ghost?" One little man in the back row puts up his hand... The psychiatrist looks down from the podium at the little man and says: "Do you mean to tell me that you have made love with a ghost?" The man replies, "Oh No! I'm sorry. I couldn't hear you correctly. I thought you said 'goat'."
  15. They are clean next to mine;) Stop complaining.
  16. Doubtful, need to cook tea before then as well and I have to be up at 2am, so I can't get that drunk;)
