  1. As the title suggests, how much lower than stock sills do the JDM style skirts drop? My Supra is already pretty low, so just guaging how it will look and if it will create issues. thanks
  2. I'm over in Horbury. I'm sure il see you around when you get it back on the road.
  3. Home of the £500 switch indeed with used parts coming from Oz seeming normal.
  4. Hi mate... Where abouts are you from
  5. Welcome....think we are in very much the same boat. Its a fine balance between driving, maintaining and gaining knowledge and managing the pennies.
  6. Nice one... You will have to let me know when / where you get together. Would be keen to get to know ppl in the know
  7. Oh no, that doesnt sound good.....why are things so much of a ball ache to sort out. haha.
  8. Thanks. Il flush it out when I get round to changing the thermostat. Any recommendations on what to use to flush?
  9. Hi All, Im quite new here and only picked my Supra up just over a week ago. The main issue i have is the heater not working as it should. the blowers work, but only a tiny bit of heat trickles out. I have searched the forum for answers and this is my progress: Checked the connecting rod in the passenger footwall.....all working and connected as it should be. 2 rad pipes that go through the bulkhead into the matrix are both warm there are no damp patches in the passenger footwell. There is a new Mishimoto radiator installed in the car, which seems to be functioning. ive done some long drives and the temp needle stays solid where it should. The coolant is a nice clean colour. theres no bubbles coming out of the rad cap when i take it off. the top pipe is nice and warm the bottom pipe (Rad to water pump) is very cold!! if i squeeze this pipe, it pushes water through the rad (can see when the cap is off). Should this pipe be warm? is it possible the themostat or water pump blocked? Any further help/advice on this would be greatly appreciated. thanks
  10. Probably worth sayin that i have a new radiator......the coolant is clear and the top pipe gets sufficiently hot. The car doesnt overheat either. Done a couple of long drives now and the needle doesnt shift above half way. Also, when on full temp, the vents blow through a tiny bit of warm air, but thats it.
  11. So, had a bit of a look around and with the help of another owner found a starting point. the mecahnicals and the connecting rods in the passenger footwell are all intact and working fine. The two pipe going through the bulkhead are both warm so that seems ok. Oddly, the radiator bottom pipe that goes to the thermostat and into the water pump remains cold. it doesnt seem blocked as when you squeeze it, water pushes out of the radiator top cap (i had it off to see if any air was trapped). so, starting point would be a new thermostat and possibly a waterpump.
  12. Thanks SPG...i spotted that earlier.
  13. oh my god...may have stumbled on a beauty here....im going to try this later
  14. Hi All, After 20years, im back in a Supra mk4....granted its an N/A Auto, but its a very clean facelift, unmolestered and is a good starting point. I have a few things to do with it and ive already started, but I will no doubt be searching/asking for advice on the following. There is no heat coming from the heaters. when the dial is turned to max temp, there is a trickle of warm air. suggests there may be a blockage/airlock in the system....any tips on what to look for and first checks. My n/s passenger wing mirror doesnt fold in when the switch is flicked (drivers is fine) Other than that, mostly cosmetic. Based in wakefield so would be good to meet any groups nearby. Thanks
