  1. Right, popped out the sticky pistons on the front calipers, cleaned them all up and the hole they sit in. Regreased them, fitted new seals and refit the pistons. All are now working perfectly. Thanks for the advice Steve
  2. Well i got a new set of seals from Toyota, so will have a go at getting them out. Two chances. Wish me luck, will let you know how i get on Thanks
  3. Found some on the mkiv.com site. Thanks anyway

There was a Polo on ebay that went for a tenner!!!! If only i had seen this before!!
  5. Has anybody got a set of user/installation instructions for the Blitz Dual SBC i could have a copy of??
  6. I sprayed the inside of my lights black to match the colour of the car and i think that it looks much betterthan than the shiny silver. I used Satin black from Halfrauds after a couple of coats of primer!!
  7. It does move in and out but is not as easy to move as the others. How easy is it to remove and replace the pistons. Is it as straight forward as remove old then insert new??? Or do they need pressing back in?? Thanks
  8. Right. Have got hold of a set of UK spec calipers, so stripped them apart to replace all the seals and rubbers (thanks mr T.). HAve found that a couple of the piston parts ar every stiff to move, all the rest move alot easier. Is there a way of freeing up the piston? As dont want it sticking when on the car. Thanks
  9. The car looked great. Just hope it wasnt too serious. Looked as if he was getting wet standing outside the car!!
  10. About 10.15 this morning on the hard shoulder of M1 between Junction 13 and junction 12. Gold/Bronze Soop Reg: B1 ??ON Nice looking car though!! Hope your problem wasnt too serious. Would have stopped but was in the outside lane in my works van so couldnt get over. Steve
  11. What paint do people recommend? Would have thought that spray would be easier and go on nicer. Where did you get it from? Halfrauds???? Thanks
  12. Does anybody know if i can use the same bolts from the Jap brakes, to fix on the UK brakes? Thanks
  13. As soon as my UK Spec calipers arrive i shall be removing my Jap spec calipers. Does anybody know if the Jap spec will fit on to a MR2 (G reg), as my mate has one that the calipers keep sticking on. Sorry for it not being a Soop question Thanks
  14. Thank F*?k for that was getting worried for a bit. Will get some petrol in it later (as empty as normal!!) and go for a blast. Thanks guys
  15. Is it worth going for a long run then and see if it clears? How about doing an oil change aswell? Thanks
  16. Have not used the Soop much over winter as have been doing little bits to it. Went out for run today, no loss in power all seemed ok. Got back, left the car for a couple of hours and thought i would check the levels under the bonnet. Took off the oil cap and noticed the white scummy shit on the bottom of the cap. Would i be right in thinking the head gasket has gone? Is this a common thing on the mighty Soop? Car has only done 42000 miles. If it has gone is it an easy job to do or am i better off letting an expert do it? Is it worth fitting a uprated Head Gasket to adjust compression to get more power or do i stay with the Toyota gasket? Any advice would be much appreciated. Sorry for the long post Steve
