  1. i take it its a su carb if so make sure the piston can be pushed up into its chamber freely. if thats all ok carry out a compression test as i take it you have fuel going in and have a spark. ps wants the age of motor
  2. not sure want type of sensor is fitted to the supras or the colour code. but as a guide to a 4 wire sensor red---power supply battery voltage+ white---negative from ecu (not ground) black--- OUTPUT yellow---+5volts but i'm sure someone will be round shortly to answer your question

stick to the fiesta and race the supra drivers on a wet day trust me you'll win
  4. thats running way too rich. i'll start with checking lamda sensor .
  5. i have a spare moss alarm can be wired up in minutes.
  6. as ian c has said check the vsv for number 2 turbo, i had similar noise when bypassed the valve for the true twinturbo conversion. as for the gearbox seems normal for the 6 speed.
  7. it will be nice to see the follow up on a ported head. as i'm thinking of going down the same route.
  8. is that signs of unburnt fuel
  9. my guess is it switches or operates a electrical device
  10. i learnt that asking my IT department at work for a free computer wasn't a bad idea. as they just gave it to me
  11. the lip on the inside of the arch is there to give the panel strength. and stops flexing. i would have it rolled.
  12. yes its in the main lamp unit .but the outer one is your foglight. switch fogs on, remove cover on rear of lamp and see which colour wire feeds that bulb. as for your telltale front fogs are not part of the mot test, its the rear only and you will require to wire a lamp that illuminates when rear fogs are on.
  13. you can just take the feed from the front fog lamp connecter, run it through a relay and hey presto. but don't forget to wire in a telltale light in dash for rear fog.

i have a spare centre part. the one that holds the heater controls /clock open to offers
  15. if they test by the book then they will do the whole test again . with high lamda,. 90% of the time a good run to get the engine hot does the trick. also if you have a small exhaust leak (from joints) that will also increase lamda readings. want i do when testing cars with big exhaust systems is to stuff a cloth into the tail pipe with the probe which normally lowers the oxygen reading in the system bringing lamda down. as for your brakes the imbalance allowed is 25%. so if its just over. it could be something simple as air in system or even tyre pressures . if its well over the imbalance percentage then you looking at poss slightly seized pistons.
  16. what % did your brakes fail by, could just be that the caliper needs freeing off . what was the lamda reading, should be on the failure sheet print out.
  17. looks like a heater motor to me
  18. i think you should upgrade your rad and sell me your standard one as i'm in the market for one at the moment.
  19. yep as you said just add a earth from body to lamp negative, clean all contacts on the lamp plugs.
  20. if you have no luck then let me know i'm sure i have some at work somewere.
  21. it seems the roof was cut of it to get the driver out i think. its a sz n/a being sold for spare parts
