  1. its a same thats happened mate. if i'm right i think they only have 2 post lifts in there workshops, i guess they don't get lowered sports cars to service everyday. ps when are you having your next oil change/service.?
  2. this is just a project on the side. i've owned 2 supras since this one has been of the road
  3. not sure on the final colour yet. would like just one straight colour no flip tones or two tones etc. also thinking on the lines of getting some deep dished alloys either 18s or 19s.
  4. yep sold that one few months ago
  5. yeah no problem . but you will have to wait about 1 year for me to finish it.
  6. i told you to slow down did't i . heh heh anyway its more likely that you have slightly bent the steering rod.
  7. i'm doing this at home in my spare time.to fit the kit onto car+bonding and first stage of sanding was approx 15hrs. but when the bodykit arrived to me. it was very very thin and weak ( which i knew it will be and was ready for it) i had to reinforce the whole kit with 2 layers of fireglass sheets each. also the front fenders are replacments for the wings. but was not to keen on them so i cut my wings and made them fit into the replacment fenders, giving more strength. been and i would say that took me approx 40hrs to reinfore kit.
  8. been working on this for some time now. getting bit bored with it. so i decided to post few pics just for peace of mind
  9. here is the link to the same question in hand http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=43086
  10. the 1.8d . you will need new headgasket, bolts and i have seen valve guides also cracking when the valves bend . it all depends on the engine speed at time of the timing slipping.
  11. the reason why i say that the other car has to be insured is because a work mate of mine was done in court for no insurance as the car he was driving did not have a policy, making his cover invalid. :thumbdown
  12. you can drive a car not owed by you, if you have fully comp insurance. but the catch is that it only covers you for third party. and that car MUST have a valid insurance cover. (i.e by its owner.) hope that makes sense.
  13. just disconnect the odo plug, that will keep the mileage down
  14. i feel a group buy coming up
  15. company called tags direct do them have i search on the net.£50 for replacment vin plates. you will need to send copy of log book to them .
  16. 1 finish fitment of bodykit 2 refit head, cams, timing gear etc 3 paint and fit uk spec calipers 4 fit hks coil overs 5 finish off fitment of lambo doors 6 paint and refit dash panels 7 prep car ready for spraying. and thats just the major jobs inhand.
  17. hi greg, thanks for your input . i'll wait to see what your dyno figures are and might go down same route. ps are you still running the twin stock fuel pumps or did you do away with that mod.
  18. i'll keep an eye on the supra forum thread. to see how he gets on, cheers alex
  19. as the title says. here is the link http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=72205&item=7987502992&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW i'm not to clued up on turbo ratios etc. just need some info on this type of setup. the reason is because i have the engine in bits a the moment. with my turbos removed. i have a choice either to stick to the original turbos and have all the pipes etc just chromed. or go for a budget single.
  20. you can try places like partco. copper brake pipes do come in different sizes.
  21. if its started when you changed oil filter then just remove oil filter and check to make sure that the o-ring seal on the filter is still there. as sometimes the seal does drop out when fitting.
  22. yes its possible for the 02 sensor to cause problems with idle. the sensor monitors oxygen levels in the system and determines the vehicle (via ecu)to run rich or lean.
