    i've had problems with my alarm, there was no key fobs when i bought the damm thing it has been on valet mode for a while now until today. i was driving on a main road doing approx 40mph when the engine cuts out managed to park onto the side. have ignition but does not turn over notice that the led for valet mode is no longer on meaning the alarm has turned on. checked a few things over and its all pointing to alarm fault. but mis-placed the 4 digit code. so i decided to phone my brother up to tow me home. he has never towed anyone before so i give him the story about don't drive to fast and when pulling away go slow to take up the slack in the rope. so he speeds off comes to a roundabout slows down then floors it:( ripping chucks out of my front bumper. The annoying thing is that i'm a AA member, should have phoned them for the tow. now i have a car (that i only had sprayed few months back ) with chucks missing on the front bumper and cracks on the rear were i drove into my gate last week.

  4. was getting a bit bored today at work so started bidding on items on the net and bought myself this red leather interior was thinking of fitting the seats to my supra but might have a clash of colours. opinions please:D
  5. is it possible to buy the software and link cable so that i can re-program my own key fobs ? or is that too expensive:rolleyes:
  6. its a rubber boot thingy that goes on either end of steering rack were the pinion slides in and out when turning.
  7. the only way to check coilpacks is using a automotive scope and checking the waveforms as they are firing. even faulty coilpacks give a good resistance reading.
  8. heres a link on how to get a vic test http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/carlgvowners/vehicleidentitycheck/vehicleidentitycheck.htm vic test is required on cat c vehicles, but it does not have to be heavy damaged to be cat c these days. all that is inspected is the vehicles id to make sure its numbers all match up. only then you can apply for a v5 logbook.

  11. if its plastic lens then you will have to buy good quality bulbs as the light units get very hot inside being all plastic. we had the same problem with a fleet of landrovers at work, bulbs were blowing every other day .
  12. yep its defo speed sensor. there is no output signal from sensor when the vehicle is been driven. checked input signal which is 12volts which seems right. SUPRo thanks for the offer i think that the sensors are different for the autos.

  15. i was there on friday, had my induction kit fitted and idle pluming sorted free of charge. only popped in to pick some service parts up:D
  16. can't afford a manual as i'm too busy spending all my cash on parts:( and now i also need a speed sensor.
  17. top man:) i spent ages going through that site and did't find it.
  18. looking for a wiring diagram for the complete speedo circuit. j-spec tt my car has been showing code 42 since i've owned it, the odo/speedo both do not work. its fitted with a aftermarket speedo converter km to miles which i have removed and reconnected wiring back to original but has made no differance. need to trace wiring back to source.
  19. i've got the same set up on mine all i had to do is clean the threads using a wire brush to remove all grit and dirt before undoing nuts and had no problems at all. bit strange as the dampers are stainless steel can't see it being corrosion:(

    Declare mods?

    i always declare all mods including tints. i don't pin point all engine mods like piggy back ecu's boost controllers, but declare it as increase engine power of say 15%.
  21. try to turn the nut the other way if you can get it to turn it might help to free it off just keep turning one direction then the other.
  22. how about rear fog light is wired through ignition and you forget to turn the switch off:D i accept paypal or bank transfer thank:cool: you
  23. i have to agree with mad russ it seems that the bumper alignment is out might be worth removing bumper and replacing the offside mounting bracket that bolts the bumper to the quater panel.
