  1. No it should not go up. if you have some jump leads connect the negative lead to the battery NEG and the other end to the engine block somewhere and recheck resistance that will confirm if you have a bad earth. poor connections increase load so its possible to burn diodes
  2. should have a resistance of below 0.5 ohm between alternator body and battery negative, check the earth connection between chassis and engine.
  3. a silicone spray will do the trick:)
  4. I had a dink on mine after suffering same issues, tested sensor using a scope while engine running and all was fine.
  5. If your planning on building the engine and leaving it in storage for a few months or longer then use assembly lube,if not engine oil is fine
  6. Check if it has a electric intank pump and make sure it works, As the main mechanically diesel pump will not get enough flow to it hence low rpm also check fuel filter or replace.
  7. yeah had the exact same noise on a landrover with a bronze bush.
  8. Thats your spigot bearing in the flywheel/crank making the noise:)
  9. pm Ibrar from Speedwells on the forum, he supplied my custom wheels when i had a gt300 supra,I do have the sizes somewere on my old laptop if you have no luck.
  10. I normally just tap in a torx bit with a small hammer:)
  11. If the rear is sitting fairly level then i would say the springs are fine and dampers are worn, bounce the rear end by pushing down on the bumper and see if its keeps bouncing.
  12. If its just for show then you can just tiger seal and push into postion. thats how mine was fitted until i decided to do it correctly.
  13. This is possible due to N/A's requiring more braking force when the power kicks in:d

  16. I have sprayed my car with 2k high build primer and have so far block sanded by hand p180 then p320 using a guidecoat. can i wet sand the final stage using p500 or do i HAVE to go finer. reason being is a have a box of p500 only and would like to get this done over the weekend.

  18. No engine light will most proberly be a power feed fault ie ignition fuse in drivers footwell or maybe feed from alarm system
  19. I used clevite 77 bearings on mine using plastigauge to check the clearence and had no issues. have you any wear marks on the old bearing shells?

  23. There is another connector plug between the fuel pump hanger and fuel pump ECU have you check the connections on that one. Its nearside in boot were the spare wheel sits
