  1. Wouldn't kick her out of bed but not sure i could live with that chin!
  2. I sent the damaged one back recorded Mark, Royal Mail attempted delivery on 03/11/07 am, have left a calling card for you. Let me know when you've got it mate and when i can expect the replacement.
  3. Funny you should mention this, i'm due to start a painfull new shift system as of Monday next week. Used to work 4days on 4days off 7:00-19:00 inc Sat's and Sun's. Due to a shortfall in miscalculated labour hrs used to put our budget together, where the handful of us guy's on shift and the "norm" 8-5.30 guy's at my work, we're now needed to put more hrs in. One plus side is they've pulled the plug on doing Sundays, though has made it even harder for us to come up with a new revolving shift and to fit in all the hrs, between 8 of us on 2 shifts of 4 techie's. So no more Sundays for me yeay! But as of Monday it's 6:30-19:30 Mon-Sat with a 45min lunch break so can fit mornin 15min tea break in, so i'll be at work for 13hrs for 6days on the trot, gonna be a killer for me anyway.......... What should I be looking forward to though is it's then 8days off Sun-Sun then back on shift , though also expected to come in a further 23days on off days over the course of the year covering anyone who's off, not too bad though with 22days hols a year still.
  4. Should i just try and bend it straight peel the plastic back and see how bad the damage is? Wasn't sure whether you'd just want me to send it back and you can try and send another making sure post office actually stamps "DO NOT BEND" on it and hope it arrives ok? I guess i'd obviously cover the postage back to you. The postal damage claim form link you posted looks aimed towards the person who actually sent it as it requires all info not just my address but yours, post office sent from etc.
  5. Hi Mark for what its worth, here's a pic from my phone, i'm sure it can be bent back even straighter than i have so far, but i doubt you wont be able to see the crease ..the only way i could get pic on was to reduce the phone pic quality down to 1MP as wouldn't upload 3MP or 2MP pics i tried.
  6. Yup, i will need the posted from info. Also, was that Standard Parcels or 2nd Class Mail?
  7. Sorry mate i'm gonna need your/the senders and i think the post office details to fill that out. PM them to me if you don't wanna post them up.
  8. Can I just ask, out of interest, did everyone that has recieved theirs have the parcel stamped DO NOT BEND? I was wondering if the Post Office forgot to do mine or all of them?
  9. The latter was more along the lines i was thinkin........
  10. As i said in post 99 I like the item, it's exactly what i wanted and expected. It's just that, as i said in earlier posts, it arrived bent (i've no doubt this was done in the post as the box/packaging is also bent) I did question whether this would have still occured had the packaging been labelled FRAGILE or DO NOT BEND (like certificate envelopes). Obviously it looks as if i was just unfortunate as other seem to have recieved theirs fine. After waiting so long for the thing because of the stupid postal strikes in the first place, if i'll have to wait months for some form of claim from them i dunno if i have the patience. Also just about says it all about the postal system, and they want MORE money to do such a sterling job.
  11. I starting to think i was the only unlucky b'stard. I like the item tho, will serve it's purpose just fine just don't a bend in the middle of mine.
  12. If it makes you feel any better, i'd rather not have mine yet but have it turn up not bent!
  13. Well i did buy the thing to cover the unsightlyness of the original aging crumbling strip of foam that currently fills the gap, if i wanted to cover the gap with a wobbly strip of metal i could have found an ol scrap piece, however i wanted decent condition item for this.
  14. I finally got my rad plate after the long eager wait, but unfortunately the dumbass Royal Mail people decided they'd bend it in half during it's journey through our "wonderful" postal system. Whether or not this would have happened if it had been marked "FRAGILE" or "DO NOT BEND" I don't know, and as it was only 2nd Class Royal Mail so not sure how much care that warrants knowing how poor their service is in general. Dunno what to do from here, i havent peeled the plastic off yet but i've no doubt that if i try and straighten it, it's always gonna have the fold/stress mark where it was bent. Do you need a pic of it? (Not the best at posting pics but i can try if needed) Should i just send it back for a replacement don't really fancy putting it on my car as is tbh.
  15. I've got a TS bonnet in all is overlaquerd glory on my Supra, at the end of the day as far as i'm concerned even if it doesn't float everyones boat to me it serves a functional purpose of getting unwanted heat out from my engine bay. If a bonnet scoop/vent is good enough for a UK Spec Supra, a TS vented hood is good enough for my J Spec TT BPU+
  16. Smoke screen alarm feature has been around for some time, i remember a good 10years ago a classmate from college who had one installed on his XR2i (which his parents, who'd just won a few hundred grands for 5no's and bonus ball on the lottery bought him! It was mint and had every gadget on it available back then.) He parked it on a highstreet outside a bar we were at, whilst enjoying his "shandy's" he was blissfully unaware that outside his alarm had falsely gone, off poss just from traffic passing by, eitherway had triggered his smoke screen thing, someone had alerted the fire brigade of a white XR2i ON FIRE in the middle of the high street! They turned-up, smashed his window and proceeded to fill his car up with water. Was the source of many a joke at college for some time, think they hit him with a bill for the privilege too! Took a good few months to dry out and was never the same again as you could imagine.
  17. Even with the steering fully extended, seat fully lowered!? Then again your not the smallest of chaps.
  18. Perhaps the mixer valve/motor for the interior heating isn't actuating as should. No idea exactly where it's located on a Supra though. Would have thought somewhere near the bulkhead but don't remember seeing it on mine, may be up under the dash in the heater/ A/C evaporator box. You could check the flow and return coolant lines running to the bulkhead area and see if the heat is getting through at all. If mixer valve/motor wasn't working i'm thinking it would possibly log a fault code in the A/C Heater control unit?
  19. Was quite a big show all in all, all though if the weathers alright the October show is always a big hit. Not enough "Decent" show girls i must say, maybe they were all at some other car/bike show. Does anyone know how well Leon, Steve, Robbie etc did as i thought i could hear over the tannoy they was still running, as we were in the que to leave?
  20. She didn't at first, but someone got her to pull in. I don't recall even seeing her oppologise, she kind of stood out of the way till Santa Pod security got round to exchanging details.
  21. That would be my mate Tony's R34 GTR, EX-GT Culture Demo car. Who was also the reason i didn't get home till 8:20 last night as we were standing outside our cars in the huge standstill traffic cue to get out of the Pod, some dozy bird in an MR2 who was textin on her mobile missed a small gap in the traffic, decided to boot it to close the gap and clipped his right forearm with her left wing mirror and clean broke through both the the bones in his forearm! He got driven off to Bedford A&E in an Ambulance, got transfered to Southend last night, as couldn't just put in a cast due to the nature of the break they'll have to operate on his arm! I had to follow the R34 back to his house to make sure Gary who drove it back could get home after! An unlucky day all in all for Tony, as not only did he get his arm broken, he also cooked his clutch on the two runs he did earlier that day so didn't do as well as expected. Tom some nice pics dude, Low and Behold One of mine too!!! Top man! Can you keep that would like to get a print of it! ps. Tom, Cheese Burger and a Hot Dog please........ Um I mean Hot Chocolate! PMSL
  22. Leaving at 6:30! Blimey, OK i'll try and get there before that, gonna need to leave mine pretty early as i'll be stopping at Tesco en-route to get some fuel and cash out! See you guy's there, remember cameras at the ready!
