    Need help for TV

It can get costly! along with the TV i had to buy the DVD player and cable - the cable alone was £70!!! but 1080p is worth it to watch movies!
  2. Think...well hope... i have found the problem!! I remember the chap who removed the ugly foglight on the back and altered my rear light cluster to incoroporate the foglights saying that the switch that worked these had not been wired into the lights correctly. i.e. switching the lights off did not switch off the power to the dash switch. I have just checked and sure enough - the switch was on from when i was pulling the dash apart to fit the stereo. My problem may be as simple as leaving the lights on so to speak! I hope i have found the culprit - but need to get the battery charged again and see what happens over the week. Take note all you J-spec owners!
  3. been reading this thread... I had the same a few weeks ago. thought it was the starter motor, then replaced the battery and the stereo! car is sitting in drive for a few days and this morning the new battery is dead! could this be the problem? help? edit: i seem to have all the symptoms of a dead battery but with the new one!! ... so did a further search on here and...would it be worthwhile purchasing a volt meter and checking for drain by pulling fuses one at a time?
  4. similar to mine - i have a full decat with blitz exhaust...never noted the rpm but around 80 - 90 it hums - hellish if you have the beginnings of a headache or the aftermath of a hangover!!
  5. I was a year with Game - 9 months gone and they swapped no problem
  6. happened to me at xmas...same thing with gears of war. It froze etc and the red flashing...went to Game as mine was under warranty and i got a brand new one. Assuming that means bad news for yours. I checked the xbox site - theres not much help there for this sort of thing hope its new enuff to warrant a replacement mate if it cant be fixed
  7. yup did this too the bow is down the left side of the carraige and the gun is down the right i also found you can get past him if he heads towards you and shoot him from behind. just stay in the light;)

    Scotland

some more options St Andrews/Crail and anstruther area - fish and chips/ secret bunker/ crail/ golf/ long beaches/ tentsmuir forest ...great dog walking country! travel across country perth, head to glen coe and stop of around fort william for ben nevis or a short drive up to fort Augustus - very picturesque and with good food!. Only a stones throw away is Loch Ness/Urquhart castle Up to the isle of skye and see Eilen donnan castle (sp?) - made famous by the highlander film and every postcard in scotland a breathtaking drive is up to mallaig and the north west coast area - lots of scenery and beaches and islands! lots of choices now! Irvine
  9. I did mine last week - xmas prezzy!. Wiggling up and out helps. bulb connectors were a bit tight. for someone like myself who tends not to have a clue with these things i managed without any hardship. Had to replace 2 bulbs on each light (if its uk spec you are fitting)
  10. only 4...the original spoiler is held on with gromit things which pop off with a pull once bolts removed. and yes the black trim will break somewhere!

    error codes

cheers!! thats what happens when you try and do things at night will give it a go today
  12. Hi folks was reading what ianc pposted re error codes and how to read them...anyone answer these qs for me tho as i aint sure what i am doing!! When things go wrong with engine components, sensors, etc. there is a chance that it's going to be a failure mode that your ECU will recognise. Usually, you'll know something has happened because the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light, the red exclamation mark) lights up. The ECU stores an error code so that you can check later what the problem is/was. Rather than requiring a bug diagnostics machine, you can use a simple paperclip, or a short loop of wire. You use this to bridge the connections E1 and TE1 in the diagnostics port ( Location, 4th thumbnail along )... When i open the port i find quite a few little square holes in which to put my wire:rolleyes: anyone know which is E1 andTE1? ...For herring codes stored if you are at the initial stages of diagnosing a problem, so resetting the ECU, triggering the problem, and then reading the codes is the best method. What light comes on? or will this be obvious when i find E1 and TE1? cheers irvine
