  1. well i did the ultimate...got under the bonnet myself and pulled the two fuses....I now consider myself an electronics genius i took the car for a drive - and had no warning lights flashing theiranger at me...I am a happy man once again...thanx for the help Steve Irvine

  4. I have to date fitted the nur spec with cat back pipe but left the other cat in, a walbro fuel pump is fitted, uprated plugs, FCD is in and blitz metal induction put in. Recently - in fact daily!!! when i am out out in the car and I floor it the the red warning triangle and the little exclamation come on. If i brake after a little spurt of the accelarator its also happening...but i know its not the brakes and am wondering if i am having back pressure? My gauge tells me i am hitting 0.9 - 1 bar max when flooring it. Would i be better to decat completely? Am thinking this may resolve the situation or could there be something else happening? Any ideas people? I have a RR day on saturday...will i be ok to go is another Q!! Irvine
  5. update! had my pump fitted today...and i had no problems going through the 120 barrier...seems my car is sorted hope this helps irvine

Am having an uprated fuel pump fitted tomorrow...will let you know if this sorts me out Irvine
  8. hi folks i have my car booked in tomorrow for my fuel pump fitment and also the boost and temp gauge. i bought a pillar pod from Miami to install them into.....now not that i dont trust the guys working on my car...BUT....can anyone tell me just exactly where they can feed wires through and where they should connect...am assuming the tempgauge is for the exhaust (could be wrong here:looney: ). i know what the boost gauge is for tho!!(quick recovery! ) pleez pleez - any info before tomorrow morning would be great....and yup - i guess i dont trust them that much LOL....it is my baby after all!!! Irvine ps...think they will be ok with the fuel pump?? - that was rhetorical of course! cheers and thanx
  9. hi...i had the same thing with my car...I put it down to the wiring of the alarm system as it only ever happened if i stopped the car...the alarm light went out and i redid the alarm to start up again with key in transmission. since i now reset the alarm (lock/unlock car) all the time i aint had the problem again... as for the not engaging into reverse...i had this on cold starts last winter/or when i hadnt driven very far before start/stop ... i have to say i didnt get anyone to look at it! and the car's fine ...touch wood! fuel cut-out?

hu guys I got my new plugs this afternoon...and would you believe it...60 - 120 was shoooo shhhmooth!!!! (Mish Moneypenny!! I am still having the pump fitted when it arrives andmy boost gauge also just to make sure all is well. Had a thought tho...i went for these BPU's without much thought and didnt find a thread explaining how to go about it - IMO it should be sorta - spark plugs, pump (if required) then induction followed by decat and exhaust...this may negate the problems i was wxperiencing. i now gotta re set my FCD:devil: Irvine

I just wont go fast till my pillar arrives for my boost gauge. Have a better understanding then:confused: ps...never seen my triangle light up either

  15. hi folks am hoping to get some help on yhis issue(s) bought my car stock and have recently put a Nur spec exhaust on, blitz induction, had a single cat removed and a TRL FCD put in. When accelarating hard at around 60 or 70 and heading past 100 the ride aint smooth as the car seems to - how can i describe this?-pop along!!! Along with this i have experienced on the 100 mark or just beyond had the car stall like the brakes had been applied hard (just for a second or so) I have found that placing the baffle in the exhaust helps a little and I rejigged the FCD from setting 8 to 7...this appears to have assisted slightly. am i doing the right thing by purchasing a walbro as I am assuming my fuel may be the problem any help/assistance greatly received irvine

    Tyres

I bought my TT with khumo supras all round....back end was kicking out big time in the wet - in the winter on a small frost they liked straight lines!!...changed over to Eagle F1s...£105 each fitted!!....did 1400 miles around ireland last month in the torrential rain we were having and didnt get a twitch from the rear...hope they are as good in winter!
  17. I've had it on a week and already gone through over £100 worth of optimax....it sounds bloody great!!! not to mention it turns heads:sly: shame it tends to scrape speed bumps!!!
  18. i hadnt thought of that...i will have to check with the local guy..he replaced them 5000 miles ago...if this helps i'll let you know but can say this...the grin on my face due to a big burble and big whistle...is definitely worth it:flame Dev
  19. hi to all newbie to the upgrading on here...but followed some advice from the forum and had envy fit an FDC and remove the first cat. i then installed a blitz sus and had a nur spec r fitted....sounds good with the muffler in the nur-spec. taking the muffler out i do seem to get a bit of a misfire sound. Should i be looking at gauges to limit boost...or should i just look at restrictor rings mentioned on here...any advice greatly received Irvine
