  1. Have been in touch with a few friends and there is apparently a convoy leaving dunfermline from the cinema (beside M9) and heading to the UCG via Perth...it leaves 8.30 hope to see more people there or on the way (west coast??)...heading to Dundee for the allotted 10.00 kickoff!!! and yippee - the snow has all gone here!!! Irvine
  2. the news looked promising on the Tv for better weather...but i will reserve judgement for Friday evening...and have the polish ready!!! 3" and getting bigger!!...the snow that is!
  3. yahoo homepage does a free downlad of a spyware andpopup blocker...got rid of some nast adware and remote accessing programmes on mine...and no more pop ups unless i allow them
  4. Dastek in Dalgety bay couldnt do mine
  5. havent a clue brian!!! also noticed i should not type with 2 bottles of red wine inside me!!! also...it takes two days for toyota to get the rubbers and they only cost me...£7.52 + vat aint got a price for the 4 screws yet - arriving wednesday!!!
  6. i just looked at your pics again and realised that you got the do-luck rear bumper...no wonder i liked it from the rear (dont make a habbit of this tho, cos its my toyota in front yae kin!!)...i am gonna have to savemy pennies...cos i want one...trial comes a close second!! ps - still love the colour and the bonnet too...jealous??? nay!!!...just spending wisely on my own!!! shame wont see it saturday!! Irvine
  7. ok...just checked this url...definitely was not the way to go....i definitely think its the screwdriver...i used what i thought was a good square ended driver but it still had the edges cut away at an angle and ripped the head of the screw apart....the guy at the garage used a philips typeby it was like a normal philips with the end cut ff s that you had a completely flat star(cross) pattern which gave good leverage...all my drivers had similar but were not flat and angledback at the point ofcontact hope this helps Irvine
  8. it is defintiely the lower...they split across the top as on my car and are easily pulled away revealing the screw heads. i just had to assist with a stanley knife Irvine
  9. ok...ok ...just did this today!!! thought i would save myself a fiver and remove them...got the parts on thursday from Toyota and went to it!!...F*cked up 3 screw heads with a crap screwdriver!! this was after i had trimmed away all the crappy rubber revealing the screw heads and the little metal plate! Eventually went to the local garage i use who after 2 seconds removed the 4th screw.....then took 45 mins to remove the 3 f*cked screws by cutting the metal plates and pinching the screw heads to remove them...all this without touching the paintwork!!! phew!!! i now have no rubber stoppers...and no rear hatch racket!! ....but now need 3 more screws (thankyou for that part number!!!) and am £30 out of pocket...and what p*sses me off is that the man in the garage (cos I give him such good custom) would have unscrewed all 4 screws and replaced the rubbers for nothing!! zero!!! zilch!!.....lesson learned!!!!!!!!! Irvine
  10. I have the SUS power and like it for the noise...no mistaking the schhhhhh...."whistle" ....psssst as you put on the power!! easy to fit too...i hadnt a clue but managed in 40 mins!!
  11. i need directions i might also be travelling with another soop and a 300zx i may also latch onto a convoy if its passing kirkcaldy....anyone travelling from edinburgh??? - am assuming west coast convoys are heading via perth? no stickers tho - just a few cards and a calendar!! Irvine
  12. definitely do the guiness factory - nice sky bar with views over the city...go at sundown for a treat(thats if the sun is shining!)!!...and lean your head against the glass and look down!!! guiness is good too after that its anywhere....lots of places around the templebar area.

    foglights

hi folks am looking for some advice on how others have resolved this problem. as you can see from the pic i have removed the SVA bolt on fog light to spur me on to replace it with either a more aesthetic one or to alter lighting in some way to incorporate the foglight elsewhere. I do need to cover the hole left and wonder about Miami GTs silver covers or those big black wedges?any decent pix of the silver ones on a soop? I also want to keep my rear lights as twins both for night driving and brakes. Any ideas? ...this is on the basis that all will say use the offside reverse which i think may be the option but i already cant see behind me with the two that are there let alone one!!! any advice would be helpful thanx for reading this far Irvine
  16. ahhh the auchtertool road...only place my supra has left the road and spun the wheels before landing again.....scary but exhilirating!!! LOL
  17. i had the standard size bolted onto the jap number plate holder - i had a smaller one made up for a tenner and have it firmly held in place with double sided sticky tape!!
  18. hi al hi todd - Inverkeithing aint so far away -hope you can make it to some meets in the future. I am still on course for the dundee trip. been away to amsterdam for a few days and arrived back yesterday... I head home from the airport and once in Kirkcaldy I see another black supra...looked standard from the rear...couldnt see much else as I was turning...and in the other car!!! wasnt you? Templehall Ave. even been told today theres a white one down Kirkcaldy high st...seems they are proving very popular!!! Irvine
  19. bumpity bump!! noticed there was a few new members in Scotland...just bringing this to theirattention...could be fun lads/lassies!!
  20. hi Todd oddly enuff...i saw a black one the other night in kirkcaldy outside grubbs (didnt look too closely but think its sells renaults)....stopped to give him a card and ended up assisting his mates to push it off the road...think his immobiliser was playing up!! big time!! he had a big muckle carbon spoiler on stilts!! where are you hiding in fife? irvine
