i'd suggest the use of the word "literal" rather than Harsh as more applicable and as for implementation of literal Islam - that would be Saudi & Iran (albeit different sects) - and what Isis are trying to do in Syria. Dubai is by no means an implementation of literal islam - it is their bastardized version to protect the lavish lifestyle of the 10% emiraties at the expense of the suffering and exploitation of the 90% "aliens". and yes - it is a political ideology and has always been one.

It's clear for all to see that you are a normal and good guy with decent morals, however a bit infantile to defend an ideology that is so misconstrued unequivocally - i believe it's healthy to have a discussion by keeping emotions at bay - the only way to learn and evolve.
