  6. Good plan - then you have one less thing to worry about....
  7. thats exactly what most of these "investments" are - a gamble.
  8. I do the same - however the taxman takes 40% of my profits......so I net close to 3-4% on the investment.
  9. Wouldn't you be better off getting a standard used engine in the car or a new short or long block as I question the trust in the muppet of a mechanic in building a forged engine

    Hello Everyone

Hi - welcome to the club.
  11. Rapidly progressing forward - when is the expected complete date?
  12. Strange - had UK Brakes on my car for 8 out of the 9 years. They NEVER Rattled. Switched to KAD Brakes cause and they looked flashy however were an absolute nightmare with rattles and clonks. I'd never consider an aftermarket kit unless it was from a reputable brand that designed the kit not just for track racing but also for street use. imi
  13. classic case of form above function....
  14. What about subframe bolts? How are the bushes?
  15. Welcome, should be in your neck of the woods for a couple of nights this week.
  16. Very nice work on the Engine...like the attention to detail in regards to give the ancillary parts a good clean and paint too.
  17. You'll need a lot a luck to end up with the car you are looking for - or youll end up picking a lemon
  18. Fair point - guess its similar to how most cars from Japan seem to have around 60K miles on the clock despite being close to 20 years old now........ I'd always consider a car with UK service history over a Jap Import for example - that would give me some assurance over an unknown. Only way to be absolutely sure is a thorough inspection like you suggest. Removing parts however is going a tad far - guess it depends on how desperate the seller is.
  19. On the contrary UK service history is everything with used and especially performance cars like these. I'd be super surprised if any seller would allow a buyer to strip the dash off. I wouldn't even let the buyer test drive the car without any insurance. Imi
  20. No service history, no Mot. No tax, no details of the tuner who built it. There are better cars out there to look else. Last thing you need is a money pit
  21. The Big Brake Kits look far better though......surely thats worth the spend
  22. Would be nice to see the Govt clamp down on benefits AND also on the Tax cheats..... Hopefully them this breed will die away in a generation or two.
  23. Will look nice once the centre caps are back on.
  24. agree - probably a easiest way to go Single....
