Not sure what their exact budget was for the mk4, wouldn't be surprised if the development cost wasn't short of USD30-40M - back then it was a race not just against Nissan but equally important a desperate need to establish themselves against the German and Italian makes. Still amazes me as to how over engineered and ahead of its time the mk4 actually is. Imi

This is a how long is a piece of string question. You will have some that say that it's a brilliant piece of kit for the price. You'll have others say that it's an overkill for anything upto even a 600 bhp single supras What are you currently running? What's your budget? What are YOU looking to fix (in an ecu)? Still a bit strange that you have your car booked in for potentially a 3K job without knowing why...... the best person to ask is Ryan, even though there is a conflict of interest he will still give you the most balanced and objective advice for your particular situation. I'd take his opinion over anyone else's.

No - you're better of with a well ducted and designed CW SMIC for everything upto a small Single pushing just over 600bhp.

my Jspec had UK spec brakes factory fitted.

Very shiny engine bay - looks sublime.

If a Jspec then have you checked the speed limiter, may be worthwhile replacing the active spoiler controller.

with the subframe bolts - best to tighten them to the factory spec.
