  1. Yep, very similar. Would be fine at startup, then all power would disappear - suddenly jerk on and off. Gradually got worse as the wire broke down a little more. I'm mechanically useless, but managed to fix myself and easy to check for. Remove the cam cover, you'll see the connectors with wires going in. Start the car, wiggle (yes, thats the technical term) each wire in turn and give a little pull. If it is them you'll notice the engine immediately run "funny". Have you checked for error codes? (Not sure if you can do this on VVTI) As i'm fairly sure mines threw one up.
  2. I had the whole stuttering and bog down off power when one off my coil packs was breaking up? Didn't notice any associated ticking however, pretty sure it also brought up an ECU error code. In my case, the wire going into one of the coil packs was literally hanging on!

    Surely that can't be real? I know the guys got skill etc but no one has that kind of accuracy, surely??
  6. yep, on the case and downloading - just a tad large and slow to download. This is a small 6meg file thought it could be a decent alternative from what I've read.
  7. Looking for the above, its freeware but the main site no longer seems to be hosting the file: http://jlb.twu.net/code/unixkit.php Anybody happen to have a copy or know of an alternative? Looking for something that will let me run unix commands on windows. Random I know, but worth a try!

  9. My stored peak value shows 700 dead. Thats with hybrids, 1 bar, uprated fuel pump and sparks, all cooling stock (10year old smic) and stock injectors.

  13. Somehow, the plug that goes into the bulbs has melted internally. It still works but I'm guessing replacing it would be a good idea! Have attached a pic, pretty sure uk and jap specs are the same (my cars jap). Off the two similar connectors, this is the second one in, so i think that makes it the main beam? Anybody got one?

  17. I remember at surrey rolling road Class One put his stock twin turbo on the rollers, it came out almost bang on 320 at the fly if i remember correctly? Now surrey RR quotes rear wheel HP, so whatever percentage they're using for losses can't be too far off? I don't remember what they use though!

  19. I have the same on mine, same size as well - and by the looks of your avatar I have it on the same rims! They do a good job IMO, the way I drive I don't really expect any tyre to keep traction really, but these do a fair job for the money
  20. I don't see how a 6 pot AP racing brake setup could be called chav regardless of which colour they're painted. Look pretty good to me, what colours the car?
  21. My car was pretty much stock when it went in, just an induction kit. Getting it back fully decatted with hybrids it felt alot stronger to me. Pulled very well straight past 120 no problems. My boost is set to only 1bar as I haven't upgraded injectors or the old smic. If your coming out with a full decat and running 1.2+ I dare say you'll notice a huge difference!
  22. Nice one mate, I remember going to pick mine up from Max-GT after getting hybrids, fuel pump and full decat done in one go, oh and a new blitz nur spec r. Plus a few gauges lol (sounds scarily similar!) That first turn off the key is a very special moment
