  1. Ah yes, of course. I shall go meditate on it.
  2. I think the thread is getting out of hand now. There is no point casting apersions on the character of members such as MCanny. People have made their views clear, (especially MichaelG, jeez i think its best you take the brakes! ) and as far as I can tell that should be about the end of it.
  3. lol, i'll see you at some meet im sure. I'll be the one dismantling your brakes!
  4. Mate i let it go 2 pages back, i was the first to say let the thread die. If people continue to bash you its out of my control
  5. wow this could go on for a while. The point here is a personal one, not the technicalities of ebay. Like some members on here are trying to say, knowing someone else had put the deal together they would have happily backed off, especially due to club spirit seeing as it is a fellow member. Personally, i would have backed off if it was anyone else, member or not. Hence my post saying i dont like the way ebay is used by people. Yes, technically you won the auction due to a mistake by the seller but thats not what people are pointing out here. Personally, you have been burnt by ebay before, like many here. This is where the differentiation comes in, some will carry on trying to use it in a "nice" way and those that will seek to burn others in the same way.
  6. Mate, calm down and take a chill pill. I would have been in the other 1%, as i would have backed off knowing another club member had set up the deal in the first place. You may also notice that club members avoid bidding against each other on items out of courtesy. Yes its not how ebay works, and theres no obligation to do so. Its just a friendly club. You have the calipers so well done. Let the thread die.
  7. Me and you both Mr Canny. You've got a uk spec right? I'll give you £70 for the brakes!
  8. LOL! In fairness I can see 99% of people doing the same thing Chilli did. The seller screwed up and Chilli was in the right place at the right time. Me want some brakes!!!!
  9. Yeah Gav i got that too, looks like some quick editing from the chilli man. Looks like you stumbled across a bargain and took it, never mind the seller trying to explain its a mistake eh?
  10. they were easy to miss, were up at £40 with a 5 day listing. I asked how much he wanted, we agreed on £70. i didn't quite realise he'd stick em up with a buy it now option straightaway for me to buy! Doh!
  11. yeah fair do's, but to threaten legal action when the seller even offered compensation is a tad strong. I see what you mean though, and its not really the sellers fault, so I just backed out and told him to go ahead and sell them to the other guy.
  12. Don't rub it in mate!!!! I know it was a steal, i guess thats why the other guy is holding on so hard. But there just don't seem to be any gentleman left out there anymore! Its every man for himself. Even at such a bargain price, I'd like to think most people would graciously bow out if the seller explained the story. Ah well
  13. not sure if anyone saw these on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7998029779&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:UK:1 I managed to negotiate a "buy it now" price for these with the seller. Unfortunately he put them up at that price while i was at the gym. As you can prob guess, someone else jumped in and bought them. He tried to explain nicely that it was a mistake and they were meant for me, but apparently the other guy is threatening all sorts of legal rubbish! I mean FFS, the guy made a mistake why not just back off? I've told the seller to just let the other guy have them. RANT OVER
  14. I'm kinda down the other end, near heathrow
  15. it goes like stink, its taken all manner of M3s, porsches etc convincingly. Not come up against anything really fast though If your ever down london ways your welcome to come round and we'll go for a thrash. Nic's points are fair, it is possible to get over 400 with stock tubbies. The point of hybrids as i see it is to run the power more safely. My stockers were on their way out, and i'm not interested in going single. So hybrids make sense, more durability then stock ones.
  16. hi mate, also got miami-gt hybrids here. i asked for low lag, like yourself not interested in top end power just insane fun between 40-120! They're great. Pull alot stronger through the entire range then my old j-specs. Im runnning everything stock, just a full de-cat and fuel pump for piece of mind. Got 400 at the fly at 1.1bar.
  17. I'm up for it. 1) Gav 2) Nish
  18. Really mate?! Thats a godsend! Got a rough idea how much? Think the local shell is up to 97.9!
  19. I used KLS Motorsport, they can do all the toe and camber stuff. Good place, its near greenford, if you need details let me know i'll dig them out.
  20. OK guys, good work etc but im surprised no ones mentioned it so far... WHERE WERE THE SEMI NAKED LADIES??????
