Keeping it short, I'm desperate to learn about how to do body work (fitting kits) on cars, spraying etc. Does anyone know how I can go about learning the skills and techniques, obviously I can buy a banger and learn from books but I'm not much of a book reader but currently I think it's my best option. The problem I've got is I'm fairly well paid in Accounts and have a mortgage to pay so can't give it all up to go into a garage as a trainee or anything. Anyone got any bright ideas ? Also my mate wants to get into ECU mapping and everything attached with it but where can you learn that ? Once we are clued up we want to set up a partnership but I can see a few years hard work in between !

as a West Ham fan and being surrounded by a load of Manure supporters at work all I've heard this week is 'enjoy it whilst it lasts', 'you'll be relegated by Xmas' etc. I got into the lift at lunch time and the lift lady said 'Going down' I said don't you bloody start. I might be in for this, for the same reasons as CJ !

Not too much to worry about but I didn't realise til recently that when you do an online insurance quote with either of these 'one in the same' companies then they actually do a credit check. It must say this somewhere in small print but I hadn't seen it and when buying my Soop I messed around with loads of quotes to see what they came out as. Just so you know..

Was driving to a rolling road yesterday with my mate following in his Teg Type R, got onto the motorway just coasting along and my mate goes past me, so I decide to just keep up with him. Glance down at my speedo at it's reading 110, then look in my mirror only to see flashing lights. Oh, fook. I pull to the inside lane and the unmarked cop car goes past me and flashes my mate too, he also pulls over to the inside lane and the copper pulls along side, waggs his finger at him and then goes on his way. Fair play to the copper, I think we both got lucky today.

I've got the Intelliguard 950, you should be able to get someone to sort out the turbo timer for nothing, the company that fitted mine did it for free ! I also went back and got the windows done later for £65 instead of the apparent usual price of £95. HTH.
