  1. I know and cheers mate , I will miss her just like my last . But always another time for one later I guess .
  2. Hello Guys/Girls I know this is really a wrong time of year to sell especially an aero top as well but I will be starting a new job in January and I need a diesel. Idea originally was to keep the sup but I am using the r33 as a track car and I am not sure if I can justify having 3 cars. So here it is. 1993 Supra SZ Aero Top The car is in excellent condition. It has been over here for 7years and has had 3 owners since being in the UK. The Speedo has been converted and is reading 69k. I have just put 12months tax on the car and the mot is till March. The body work. There is no dents not even the car park small pin dents nothing. The paint work is unmarked I have had the car mopped as well so there is no swirl marks or lacquer scratches from dirty clothes . Interior Is in superb condition also me and the previous owners were non smokers so the car smells great The dash has been painted sliver to match the bodywork. Engine Totally standard, apart from a cat back exhaust which I had put on as the standard one had seen better days. All new water pump gaskets and new back housing( old one sprung a leak on the core plug), Cambelt changed at 67k .New cambelt idler/tensioner. New aux belt. In the last 2-3months I have done a oil change, plugs, oil filter, fuel filter. Other Bits The car has a sigma cat one alarm and I have the certificate for this. Hid’s 6000k in the main beam. The previous owner had all the speakers changed I think they are JL but there are also tweeters on the pillars. All rear window + rear quarter windows and front windows black tinted. Facelift front indicators 3G front slotted discs Bad Points Obviously the previous owner had a subwoofer in the boot so he thought it would be a good idea to cut a square hole out of the original boot carpet. There is a front knock when going over a bumpy road. I have looked this and can confirm it is not the ball joints or the shocks. This pretty much leaves it to be worn bushes. I have just bought a full front set of power flex poly bushes. Now you are probably thinking why I don’t have the knocking fixed but I am after a quick sale I will include the power flex kit obviously with the car. If the car has not sold .I will hang onto it have the bushes fitted after xmas and try and keep it for as long as I can I don’t want to really see her go but not sure how long I will be able to afford running 3 cars. I would consider a part ex I am after a diesel car ideally a 306 or a 106. Price 4k . I am taking the private plate off next week.
  3. My core plug has gone in my water pump, as most people know its a cambelt off jobbie. I have deicded to get all the parts from Toyota. I have got to the point of the bottom crankshaft pulley bolt which I have attemted in a number of ways to remove but have given up and I need the speical tool. So I went to the toyota garage for the tool always very helpfull The bloke at toyota said hmmm cant see it on the screen let me go and ask a mechanic ,came back "nope we chucked those tools out about 2 years ago" , my respone " well what if a supra comes in and you need to do a cambelt change" he said "anything more than a basic service on supras we dont want to know". Not ranting on but you can get all the parts from toyota why wont they support them. Made my sup feel old ,personally I dont think supras are all that old .
  4. Anyone know if this is the same as a n/a pump ?
  5. I have owned an s13 very good cheap fun and reliable also easy to go sideways .Not allot of people realise the s13’s are faster than the s14 0-60 times not that this matters to drift but they are lighter, let alone stripping one out. My mate has just bought and done up a s13 for drifting all I can say is most s13's are hanging mine was my mates was, I needed arch work, sills, floor, welding etc, Id go for a s14 hardly any rust ,practically get every tuning part you need for drifting for it at apex performance prices don’t seem bad either. I use my skyline to use for the track and for a bit of fun pics in my garage,I have seen some nice r33gts-t on the forum go for 4-5k with loads of goddies .
  6. thanks steveo have just done some more nearly finished some pics
  7. thanks dude , will post up a 100% finished pic. Should spray the sup the same colour now have matching cars
  8. yea me to it is very nice was going to do the skyline in it but agreed with matt it would look like any other factory midnight purple skyline.
  9. thought that was a boring colour
  10. Thanks for the comments guys . Cheers again matt all the bits to put back on now weekend joys
  11. Update. I Removed the upper wishbone today to take the suspension out to check the top mount. All was ok, but on inspection while the upper wishbone was off the long bolt that runs thought it connecting it to the car, I placed this back into the wishbone and there was quite a fair amount of play I think my bushes and inner sleeves are knackered as I could see where the metal sleeve had sort of filed itself away. After a lot of searching to save replacing the whole upper wishbone just for the bushes and the sleeves these people do the kit http://www.priracing.co.uk/product.php?xProd=992 When I put the car back together I over tightened the upper wish bone bolt and the knocking is no where near as bad :-).
  12. I have had a look on the jap show site and I can not see anything about it. I would expect there would still be a charge or they would be letting in allot of people for free, then again how many people have probably chucked their tickets. My boss might be being numpty lol and did not read the email fully but he defiantly said free.
  13. Just had a phone call from my boss (part of the mr2 club stand at the show). He informs me he has just received an email regarding the event and because the day was so poor anyone still with their tickets will get into the next Jap show in October for free. Hopefully supramatt still has mine in his sup
  14. Spot on John I am a unlucky one, my rusty old drop link nut turned off I did get really p*** off I ended up using the grinder. After that I decided to take it for a drive to see if the knocking had stopped on that side as now there was no drop link at all . Nope its still there :-( .
  15. I have used a set of these for ages now that I have moved from sup to sup had no problems what so ever with them, mine do not have the dipples thought just the groves. Bought my discs from miami gt similar sort of price if i remember .
  16. I am favoring this as well, I had a very good quote from nick on here for a new bottom arm but I keep spending money on going out on the beers than the sup at the moment. I did pop into my Toyota garage gave them my frame number etc and asked for a quote £339 for a lower wishbone, note you cannot just change the ball joint on its own so that’s £339 plus 2 hours labor + alignment charge. I am quite handy with my hands so would take the job on my self I was warned by the guy at Toyota buy new bolts you will find most will be too far rusted. It is just annoying there is no way it seems of finding out if its lower arm or upper arm apart from guess work or taking one apart which by then, the ball joint on a 14 year old car its going to have some play so will end up replacing it anyway. Ps I started to undo one side to see if I could inspect and rebuild the suspension after Turing off my drop link bolts I stopped so can see where the guy from Toyota was coming from .
  17. Thanks John,I will keep the thread posted with updates, ps most of my grades were c's and f's so probably the same as not going to school .
  18. I run a set of huge spacers on the skyline easily a inch on the back but they are the bolt on type with new stud threads on the spacer,I have seen a company on ebay do them custom size and thread. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ALLOY-WHEEL-SPACERS-TOYOTA-SUPRA-MR2_W0QQitemZ230144153969QQihZ013QQcategoryZ122154QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  19. Hello peeps When I bought my sup 3 months ago I noticed a very small knock from the passenger side front suspension. I thought it would just be the shock absorber so left it for a while with the plan for a upgrade in sight, as time has gone on the knocking is really bad almost to the point its off putting to drive the car . The knocking has now developed onto both sides independently; my drive has a lip as one wheel goes over knock and then the other knock. I have done a search for knocking noises most people say it’s the sub frame bolts, I have tightened up as many of sub frame bolts as I could see some were very loose, but it did not many any difference though. Some little tests I have done. I had the car up on axel stands, front wheels off, with the brake on, I have used big pole under the front brake disc and given it a wobble up and down no noise. So I tried this with a jack taking some pressure under the bottom wishbone to take some of the suspension up as if it would be when it’s sitting on the road no difference. Last but not least I thought compressing the spring would take any weight off the suspension and I was now moving the suspension up and down easy with a lot of movement not one peep . Yet leaving my drive at 5mph it knocks its head off, knocking happens when I am in a straight line or turning a corner. Any ideas people?. Before I start the expensive guessing game .
