  1. Do a search I had one made off here someone posted up the cad style drawing pop this down to your local machine shop they make it out of billet and drill the two hole ready for it to get bolted on, the only bit you have to make is the y handle easy
  2. Anything max power look colours such as matte or primer looking stripped out interior (unless its a track car)
  3. I know its a old thread but how did you do them with the engine in as I am doing mine next weekened
  4. To keep with the times look at when the supra was released TT power was allot back in those days now,new mercs ,bmw m5, audi rs6 are all above 500hp you need some power to pull away from the business man with his suit on a coat hanger in the rear in his stock car. It happened to me when I was bpu I felt like a prat having a 3inch exhaust making all the noise and no go getting pushed down the road by a stock silent audi.
  5. Fair enough I guess everyone has something different they want out of the car for me its speed over what it sounds like. Time would tell with how realiable it is I went to buy a converted tt aero 5spd on here it put me off when the owner said its on its 2nd w58 box because it was tt bpu power.
  6. I still can not see the point of this a good tt bpu will probably beat a na-t less lag and more power out of the most the na-t builds I have seen , I do think allot of people get in a single car and hear a bit of wastegate and the power comes all in at once and get carried away. There are so many nice tt's come up for sale for very good money these days I cant see why it would be worth messing around with the na if you just want 400hp.
  7. Do you mean stock twins ? if so they are very realiable, I have owned 3 na's they are not bad but I found they drink near as much fuel as a tt so you might as well get a TT . Also if you were talking a big track like silverstone I would have the tt auto it would leave a na manual ,round a small track would be a different matter.
  8. Well put mate , I know it makes me laugh when people think they can build a single for 3k good luck to them imo a death trap without brake upgrade, decent sized alloys and suspension , I am just about to do another 4-4.5k on just a ecu and clutch it does make me think christ I can buy a really nice tt auto for that but as you know doing things propper is not cheap
  9. Probably because half of the people are not everyone is going to admit that though, I know of some people that you would think never act the big man but its all on tick up to there eyes in it even some that remortgage the house for it
  10. I could not agree more with that ,the two things I cheaped on my build ecu/clutch I am now having to buy again .
  11. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?221253-Pic-request-295-tyre-on-a-10j-wheel
  12. Hi Sandy sorry to see this if you we're on coil overs you would be able to raise it up abit , or like others have said down size to a 265 275 rear but the rears are Mich pilot sports and sat fine on the 10jI was running 622hp and 540ft of torque no troubles at all
  13. They look really nice Paul is there a plan to do dash pannels in the line ?
  14. For those wanting a hard top yea I agree but those that have a aero top or a na I cant see forking out 6k for another supra the cheapest option , Toyota want 6k for a new 6 spd I can't see many people buying new and I've seen a few threads now where synco's go and it's cheaper to just go buy another 2500k box now maybe it's just me but 2500k for a second box is allot of money, eventually in years to come they will probably get even more expensive you only have to look at the amount that go aboard if you look at how many left.com the numbers are decreasing .
  15. Ah okay , I see someone on eBay America is selling either full conversion kits or just the adapter plate to fit the 350z 6 speed to a 2j but don't know how strong these would be http://www.ebay.com/itm/2JZGTE-2JZ-1JZ-2JZGE-Engine-to-350Z-6-speed-Tranmission-Adapter-Plate-V160-/300695434945
  16. I have one of those it's a rip off though what we pay second hand for them ,let's be honest it's only that way because there are not very many around, e46 m3 gearboxes eBay is littered with them if I had the time and was after a 6 spd I would look into this further . I just heard back from the guy the first 5 templates are now sold he is having 5 more made up and he's sending over some pictures
  17. That's the wrong box mate its a 420g getrag is the correct one needed ,I have emailed the bloke he reckons the BMW flywheel is a direct bolt up to the 2jz and he is currently running this setup in his supra he has had a few of the bell housing converters made up , if you search the bm forums most of them use royal purple , a custom prop I can get done for 250 I asked him about the shifter you just modify the stock bm one looks like it would need to be longer
  18. Allot of power by the looks of it doing a quick search on e46 single turbo all running the stock 6spd the ratio is below , propshaft is easy get made up , the shifter might be the only pain if the box is shorter I am not sure 1st = 4.32:1 2nd = 2.54:1 3rd = 1.62:1 4th = 1.23:1 5th = 1.00:1 6th = 0.83:1 (overdrive) Reverse = 3.75:1 Single turbo'd e46m3 646whp and 549tq think in a previous video it was a 71mm turbo stock engine not bad [video=youtube;hr-kdrfcO8Q]
  19. I saw this on eBay has anyone heard of this before is it possible? Apparently the BMW clutch and flywheel are used the flywheel bolts straight on http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Supra-Soarer-2jz-1jz-gearbox-adapter-Fit-Bmw-Box-Use-Bmw-Clutch-Flywheel-/160938236647?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2578aa9ae7 It would be a end to the 2500k gearboxes the bmw ones that look similar to a supra box sell for £750 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E46-M3-3-2-6-SPEED-GETRAG-MANUAL-GEARBOX-COVERED-59K-/360524034010?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D4088115232068581017%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D360524034010%26 Done a quick search lots of m3 e46 in states using the stock 6spd running 800hp+ t71 turbos so I guess the box is pretty much the same
  20. Looking good mate , quick question whats that piece of metal on the right hand side for ?
  21. Defiantly baldy he did mine top bloke I felt he treated mine as if he was working on his own car http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/9436/dsc04115f.jpg http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/733/dsc04119s.jpg
  22. LOL @ ed! then again you never know he has all sorts of fetishes he could mean socks although probably not the type you would expect I've heard he's into over the knee type
