    GZ's?

Were GZ's only made for a limited time..? only every time i do a search on autotrader for GZ's they all seem to be around the same age (ie '93) plus I've never seen for instance a '97 GZ. any ideas?
  6. any one ever used any of this stuff? Does it work? and more importantly is it safe on the Supes turbos? (I always used the STP stuff, the one in the black bottle in my previous cars) The reason I ask is I seem to be getting pretty bad mpg's (even after a service and new plugs etc) thought this may help resolve the porblem...
  7. I am reaching for the overalls as I type.... Thanks once again Alex PS don't suppose you went to billing in 2002 by any chance?
  8. Does anyone know how many hours labour a coolant change is please?
  9. Cheers Alex, just the answer I was looking for
  10. Do they need to be gapped before fitting or is it simply a case of them being ready to fit straight out of the box?
  11. I get ya thanks for the info (Silkoline it is from now on then!)
  12. Why particularly for those running 10 50 silkoline as opposed to valvoline 5 50?? I don't understand is the 10 50 less protective?

    Jps

Does anyone know if we get any from of a discount at JPS??
  14. Cheers Nic, Do you happen to know how long the plugs last for?
  15. I have searched the topic but to no avail.... I have a set of these (I believe they were bought from Terminator by the previous owner, Faith Stalker) and wanted to check that they are fine to fit to my standard (2nd decat and air filter) jap spec TT?? I also intend to up the power slightly (the usual full decat, upgraded fuel pump, Nur spec, FCD) Will these plugs be suitable once these mods are fitted or will i need to upgrade the plugs in the future? And finally, what are the life expectancy of these particular plugs, as iv'e read somewhere of some plugs not having to be changed for 60k miles?? Cheers!!
  16. (PS I'm not a pikey by trying to aviod paying the membership fee....I simply don't have paypall and am currently sending a cheque)
  17. I will be (attempting) to fit mine at the weekend and just wondered whether anyone had any pointers as to what colour the ignition wire is in the Supe? to further complicate the issue i also have a turbo timer and alarm/immob fitted, will the turbo timer present any difficulties when wiring the jammer (ie can I take the power from the same source?) and is there anything I need to take into account?? Thanks very much in advance
  18. Hi all, I could really do with to get my supe serviced (basic A with a coolant flush & new plugs, which I have already bought fitted) asap and unfortunately JPS are not open on a Saturday.... Don't mind travelling a bit but ideally needs to be done at a weekend, can anyone recomend somewhere (ideally close to Kingston...) who are good and know there stuff? and roughly how much is this going to set me back? (circ. £100 ish??) PS how often should the power steering fluid be changed? Thanks! :)
  19. Terminator, How did you fit this? (ie which wire did you hook the power to, i presume it was the ignition and please do you have any photos?) I will also be fitting mine at the weekend and just wondered whether there were any pointers as i also have a turbo timer and alarm/immob fitted, will the turbo timer present any difficulties when fitting?? Thanks:) :)
  20. Dude, what does the regulator regulate (and how much £) is this deff. neccesary, only I am thinking of a similar setup and want to make sure everything will run sweet:cool:
  21. but what about a FCD? wouldn't you also need to add one of these??
  22. Hi all, I have a stock(ish) Jspec auto (93’ with 78k on the clock) and am looking at getting a few more ponies out of her. So far she has a replacement K&N element in stock housing, a completely standard exhaust with only the 2nd cat removed (JPS). I also have a boost gauge fitted. Now the question(s) is/are 1) Can I keep with the standard exhaust system and simply ditch the 1st cat? (if so, what else would I need to do to ensure the utmost reliability, i.e. restrictor ring? And what type etc etc?) 2) Or could I simply add a boost controller to my existing set-up and up the boost that way? Or does this create problems in the long run? 3) Or do I need to simply ditch the standard exhaust system and 1st cat and replace with an aftermarket (i.e. NUR spec etc) Basically, what I’m after is the most cost effective option to upping the power whilst keeping reliability at the forefront whilst taking into consideration my mileage, And also what sort of power hike should I expect? Thanks ever so much in advance :)
  23. Hey Faith, nice to see you have yourself a new 'mota', faith is running sweet but haven't had a chance to drive her for the past couple of weeks.... Mods are deff. on the way, will keep you posted:thumbs:
