  2. CW (Supra God) said recently that 2.5" is fine as 1) if you fit a restrictor ring it's less that 2.5" anyway, a 1-1.2 Bar one, and 2) most 3" are flattened through hitting the road to 2.5" anyway. G
  3. I fitted it so it would help me if I suddenly had to corner to avoid a badger or other wildlife so it is just a safety asset ----- PS... (and so I could plant it in the wet from the lights and blitz everything else on the road) :eyebrows: Not sure yet, my rain-dancing has not been sucsessful yet G
  4. Looks like we got ourselves a convoy - sorry, Mini Meet Great

  9. The Time: 1.00 PM ish The Date: Saturday 24th November 2007 The Place: Heron on the Lake, Fleet, Hants. Linky: http://www.goodpubrestaurants.co.uk/show_restaurant.tpl?restaurant=526 Just outside Fleet and only 5 mins from the M3. Mr T & I were looking at a nice PubGrub place between us. We've been to the Heron before and it's a nice big pub with a decent car park. Meet up and have food, drink & a natter followed, if agreed, by a little "pootle" somewhere As most people don't seem to use the calender, names below would be useful (just in case it's so popular that I have to warn the pub - unlikley) (copy & paste please) 1. Gatso 2. Soo 3. Mr T
  10. Many thanks to Matt Harwood & Ian... Matt spent a long and cold day fitting my Racelogic TC yesterday. Always really impressed with Matt's work, he's just the sort of guy you need to work on our well loved cars, careful, thorough and knowledgeable without any bullshit. He also sorted a couple of other niggles out and whilst he was upside down in the passenger footwell, fitted a VFCC (ready for BPU) Whilst he was doing this Ian (Sextons Maidstone) fitted some component speakers in the front in place of the titchy stock ones, sounds really nice - small sub in the boot next. After a very long slow ride there (Warminster - Maidstone 3 hours) had a nice quick drive back in the dark on fairly clear roads. Now waiting for it to rain... G
  11. Thanx - but to be honest, like most of us do, I mainly see the imperfections - rusty wheel hubs which need painting, stone chip in the nose, faults in the re-spray, mesh going dull etc etc... Not to mention that the inside is stock inc cloth seats etc which would be nicer retrimmed. Drives nice though...
  12. Thanx guys (and gals)... Yes was at Shearwater, part of the Longleat Estate (the bit with no lions in) ! The bad thing about the wheels is that you need a 3mm spacer to get them over UK brakes Had hassle with my last new wheels (hitting the arch) so decided to keep these as was getting pi**ed off with new wheels. Look nice but I'm not keen on spacers. KR put the extra mesh in for me. Now just need to find some clear rear side lights. Cheers G
  13. After that, I cleaned the car and went down to Longleat and took some pictures of it Feel that it's getting there at last, got me an RSR on now so I like looking at it's back end (might be my age though) ! Starting to get in practice for the 2009 calendar G
  14. Great to see everyone again (and some new faces too). to the people who drove up from Cornwall, makes our trips to the SEM look near ! Shame the pub could only put on two staff on a Sat afternoon when they knew we have a table for at least 15 booked - crap service. Got a short vid as half a dozen of you drove out which I'll pop on Youtube tomorrow, not brill but interesting if it's your car on it. Chris & Katie... nice zaust you got - I SAY, NICE ZAUST YOU GOT Thanks folks....

    RS*R'd...

Ahh... but mine goes up to 11
  16. As long as it keeps em round the front of the car away from the Nos & Flamer kit that's OK

    RS*R'd...

So a few people have told me, inc Envy. Firepool: VFCC - It's a small black box with wires dangling from it, I think you wire it in to some other black boxes on the car and it does something. The main thing, is that it sounds cool and it only costs £50.00 used G

    RS*R'd...

Good day today, another step on the way to completing my "Wish List". Bought an RSR Exhaust from Envy (last new one in the Country?) a few weeks ago and put it on today Sounds lovely and will sound even better with the cats out Just bought front de-cat pipe, am collecting this weekend, and have a VFCC in my office draw and RLTC in the filing cabinet Getting there slowly...
