  1. Ok sat here with both of them on now. It's got Vista on and the I get the message "Connecting" and the usual green bar at the bottom of the page, It gets to about 45% and no further - just sits there saying Connecting !

  3. Far to emotional for words... PS... Pleased (for you) you sold your car. Is it still in the club ?
  4. Got a new laptop recently, Sony, all good no problems.... except Got a wireless internet connection, works fine, can log on to Google, Supra Forums, any website I choose ... EXCEPT THIS ONE If I get on my desk-top (the one I'm on now) - all OK. Can't find any other site that it won't log on to Tried clearing temp files, tried for a couple of days. Nothing ! Any suggestions please ???
  5. Sorry guys... didn't mean to cause "handbags at dawn" Thanks Todd... You smarties are right, I'm crap at both IT and maths (including basic stuff I'm sad to admit) and although I could go back to school, I seem to get on OK by employing people who are good at boring stuff. In this instance, both my technical engineers were out on site and I'm not going to ask my book-keeper or accountant such a stupidly simple question. Anyway, job done now, and I did find an even more simple explination of what I wanted to do.. In an empty cell put 1.5 or 150%, copy it (Control C), then, select the range of numbers you want to increase, go to Edit, Paste Special, Values (or formulas, up to you), and also choose Multiply. Click [OK] and DONE ! Thanks all.... G
  6. Sorry, I meant £5.88 x 150% plus ( = £14.70) See what you mean, in order to increase the figures to the right ones I'd need to increase them by 250%. Will have a play with =a1* Many thanks G
  7. Sadly, not simple enough for me to know though. I've got a column of figures (amounts in pounds). I need to increase them by 150%. Ie.. 5.88 to 14.70 6.13 to 15.33 etc etc help..... Thanks for your help.. G
  8. Cool... finally a quiz I'm good at 9/10 Saying that, I'm lots nearer "Vintage" than you lot are... G

    Air rifles?

Bet you wished you never mentioned the word "rabbit" It pleases me that everybody else that's been on here has the same respect for rabbits as me (not just rabbits I'm sure). It seems something the "antis" can't see... on one side I love to see rabbits about in the fields and at the side of the road, but on the other, can spend a really great few hours on a weekend catching / killing them. Just seen you are from Hampshire - anywhere near Watership Down
  10. Happy Birthday.... Hop[e you have (OK had) a great day. Gerry & Soo x
  11. Just to confirm, Sky can't give "agreed value" to new customers. Just spoke to Daniel there who was very friendly & helpful and gave me what I think is a good (OK, not amazing) figure, inc all mods for BPU etc. Will be going with them unless I can get an agreed value at roughly the same price. G
  12. As above... does anybody do this now ? I'll obviously talk to Sky, but I'm sure they don't offer it any more. Cheers Gerry
  13. Forgotten this one... Absolutley brilliant
  14. A little experience in this... We set up a London "office" a couple of years ago in addition to our office in Wilts. We used a little company who specialised in this (found them in the yellow pages) who simply sent on any mail we received. I think they charged a smallish annual charge. We also had a local London number for advertising in the Yellow pages. We could advertise in the London YP a local telephone number & office address. Interesting to note that as of last year you don't have to have any address in Yellow Pages. Try looking under "Secretarial Services". Cheers G
  15. BB Pellet ... of course I was trying to think of where I could find a ball bearing ! The Forum recommended the ball out of a rabbit's water bottle
  16. I've had a Ford (sorry) ST200 Estate for work for about three years now. Soon after I bought it it developed a flat spot which came and went, usually between 4,000 &4,500 RPM. It was annoying, but not a big problem. After I had it seviced, which I thought would put it right, it was the same and I became more & more annoyed with it. Two years later, it's been through my local garage, the main Ford dealer & Janspeed, who found it on the dyno but couldn't sort it. Made my mind up to sell it and declare it as a problem. Last week, just out of interest I signed up to the ST Owners Club Forum and did a search for "V6 Flatspot" - I found loads of stuff ! Today... I have a sawn off bolt inserted in the ERG valve hose and no flat spot Also drives tons better...

    Air rifles?

Just a couple of points... Most important point IMO is that if you are going to shoot at rabbits or anything living, is that you do your utmost to kill it cleanly and quickly. I've got nothing against killing stuff for sport (I'd be embarrassed to even think how many rabbits & phesants i've shot, netted, ferreted and caught with lurchers & hawks) but I think it's your responsibility not to leave wounded stuff all over the place Air rifles are crap for rabbits unless you are 1) a very good shot and 2) more important, close to them. If you are not the above, you will leave two out of three you shoot at wounded to some degree, especially with a 177 bore as it has greater penetration but less shock impact. My advise is to get a shotgun certificate (no big problem) and buy a cheap 12bore, or if you are really keen look into getting a "live" rifle, although the paperwork is a lot more difficult to sort out. Have fun... G
  18. Nice little commercial machine Paul, should last a long time. Good price as well, I can beat their price - but it makes me curse doing so as there's not enough profit left in the sale to look after it. Remember to keep it out of the frost ! Cheers G
  19. Is that me your'e thinking of.... Im a Main Karcher Dealer, but don't get involved with domestic machines. To be honest, there's not a lot to choose between them. Most are made in China, most have a laughable motor usage expectation, and most are underpowered. Plus... even the best won't get 100% of the dirt from a standard car withour either mechanical action (brush / sponge / cloth) or an aggresive chemical. They are good for under the wheel arches etc but I have the pick of the complete industrial range but still use a bucket & sponge on the Supe. As CW says, hot water is lots better, but if you spend less than £1000 you will be buying a toy. As with most things, the more money you pay the bigger motor/pump you will get and (hopefully) the longer life. If I had to choose, I'd buy a Karcher as parts availability is good. Cheers G
  20. Expect for medical reasons, I can't see why everybody doesn't give blood. It's less than an hours time every few months, you get to lie down for a bit and have a cupa and a biscuit, and it doesn't hurt ! It's your duty.... Lets face it, if a loved one was in an accident we would be pretty pi**ed off if half way through an operation the doctors said "sorry love - got no blood left, bad-luck" Give it a go... G
  21. Red with VeilSide spoiler Westbury, Wilts today. Just going by the Co-op, did wave but then though "that was stupid" as I was walking at the time Hi....
  22. Oops, just remembered the women in the Gambia, even taller, even darker and with the most amazing "superior" attitude that makes you feel guilty just looking at them out of the corner of your eye... Will the turmoil never end.......
