  1. In that case, how about working on a Twin Turbo logo that matches the Supra logo - that can be turned into a car badge !
  2. Simples good - I tend to agree. Which plate designer did you use to do this one ?
  3. Agreed... What do people think about sticking as closely as we can to the original forum name font (the one above our avetar) for the plate forum name ?
  4. Forum "Name Plates" (for the car) were mentioned earlier in this thread. For those interested, please see attached thread: Linky: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?p=1854337#post1854337 Cheers G

  6. Following on from a couple of threads (see http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=142771 ) regarding a number plate size "Forum Name plate", there seems to be some interest. I've PM'd Mawby for the details on getting a "group buy" going, but for now, here's a mock-up that http://www.craigsplates.co.uk have done for me. This is their first attempt and I would alter a couple of things: 1, make the real name and mkivsupra.net the same font & size. 2, make the Toyota symbol in the centre a bit more faded. They can do it on a vast range of sizes, but we are looking at about £10.00 - £14.00 a plate for standard sizes. Postage will be on top, but I would be pleased to deliver them fre at Japfest etc. The idea is that we either pop it over the front number plate or pop it in a window at meets. Just looking for some feedback at the mo. I'm not sure yet if it would be better to order through me, or order direct from them quoting the Club name. COPY OF THEIR LETTER TO ME: Hi Gerry Please find attached some artwork I have played around with, starting from your image and then building it up. I've tried to keep the club colours and haven't over complicated it as per your instruction. Normally we don't do this service for free, but that's the perk of owning a Jap car, you keep in with the office manager lol!!! Prices will depend on quanity: 1-5 ~ £10.00 per oblong, £14.00 for any other stock size plate. This includes VAT but not postage. 6 - 20 ~ above price less 50p each plate 21+ ~ above price less £1.00 each plate I look forward to hearing from you. It obviously goes without saying this proof remains the intellectual property of Craigsplates.com Ltd until you purchase from us All the best Karen Office Manager What do ya think....

  9. Top two places guarantees selection to the European's and then World's, top four places is 80% probable. Came third in 2006 but knackered my knee, and was 21st last year Knees OK now (it's just the rest of me that's knackered)

  12. Sadly, can't get to this one Soo's going up to Milton Keynes for family and I'm tied up with a big competition this weekend. Was hoping to be able to sneak away for a few hours but it's not going to happen. Have a great afternoon, see you at the next one. Cheers G
  13. Think it's quickish for a stocker. but not as quick as my last BPU (although that was only running 1 BAR). This ones booked in next week for BPU so am hoping for a bit more than 1 BAR (if it's not I'll get a B/C). Looking forward to SupraPod 08
  14. Think I lost the plot at about ten metres ! Sorry I missed your effort on the vid, didn't think of filming it until someone suggested it. Please you both could make it, hope you see the Supe soon. Cheers G

Maybe repeating myself here, been a long morning (already). Will get some styles & prices for front only plates in two sizes (UK & Import smaller). Will have large forum name, smaller real name, logo etc. ********* Can't do this until next week, but will get onto it on Monday though).************* Happy if people just want to stick to name badges / paper info in the car etc, but still think it's a good idea. Cheers G
  16. Think Lui will be posting an "Official Lui Convoy" up shortly Cheers G

Neck thingies are a good idea - if you like spending the day staring at blokes bellies, only to find that it's flicked round the wrong way ! I'm going to order one with "GATSO" on, and in small at the bottom, "Gerry - mkivsupra.net" If there are others interested I'll have a ring around and see if I can find the cheapest (and a supplied that can supply lower case letters as well). Just a thought...

You could have stuck "Simon" on the bottom
  19. CLASS ONE: Well by the skin of their teeth this renewal has been accepted. I can only echo though what others have mentioned, that you will need to increase your forum presence. Thanks Folks... (and CJ)

Getting better all the time... Good idea, I'm crap with names anyway so having two to remember is worse, this would help lots.
  21. Granted... But they still pay their money and still do work for members (they are doing a set of seats & door cards this week for a member on here). They say it's "pressure of work" that they don't post much, but I'd be for giving them another chance and see what happens this year, hopefully they will be more active.
  22. Gibson Trimming needs a few more votes today to keep her on as a trader on here. Many of you have had trimming done (inc me) and their work is brilliant. It would be a loss to the forum IMO if they didn't get enough votes to stay on here. Come on lads - give the gal a hand...
