  11. Can't believe it's a week to go and no names ! Come on chaps...
  12. Great one... Nice to see that you are still the "real" Friday Joker Bill
  13. Just to let you know that I'm talking to Craigsplates and I think we will have firm details and prices next week. I know rough prices and in order to get deliverey down am hoping to get a Group Buy up for free delivery at Japfest. If the majority need them before that, we could do this, but there would be postage on them. Provisionally, the details are: One (only) club design in standard size and five, six & seven digit "import" plate sizes. Orders / payment will be directly to a nominated person at Craigsplates quoting mkivsupra.net, user name and real name (first, both or none - up to you). If anybody doesn't like the design / price/ details I won't sulk if he/she gets their own done elsewhere. Thanks to Smiffad who's doing the designs.
  14. They do course deerhounds, but from what I gather they don't catch much (although this isn't the ultimate goal of organised coursing which is to pit two dogs running a hare against one another). A mate of mine who used to breed them did catch a deer near longleat when going for just a walk, but he did have four deerhounds, a whippet and a little lurcher - not really sporting !
  15. Hope it's fixed soon for you - sorry to hear this At this rate it look like I may be in with a chance of a bottle of Baileys
  16. After reading some of the heart rending threads on here over the years, I was taken in as well. I'm with the "not funny - just pointless" thread people. As been said - He who cries wolf !
  17. Just put my brain in gear and thought that there may be deerhound or borzoi owners on here. Sorry if I offended re "thick" I think the term usually used by the breeds is "aloof" Pretty dogs though...
  18. Had a couple of deerhounds and one borzoi in the kennels where I worked at a teen. Both looked really great, but the deerhounds were thick and the borzoi, like any sighthound was even thicker. Depends on why you want them, they look real nice, but if you want to work them you would be better off with a good lurcher, 1/2deerhound, 1/4 greyhound, 1/4 collie or if you want more nimble, less deerhound more greyhound / whippet. I had a cracking little bitch that only stood 23" but was line bread and had small bits of both deerhound & bedlington. Brainy (the collie in her) broken coated and very quick, great little dog that took both fur and when in the right situation feather ! Will get another when I'm retired... Cheers G

  20. Hope the ModGods will let this post stay in "Off Topic" as I know many of you (including me) sometimes don't think of searching the various area meets threads. 21. I have these to, but they didn't pass an MOT test and even though I've read the DVLA info, it's to vauge to make me belive that they are 100% legal. I've got a bomex nose and the import size fit nicely in the fitting provided.
  22. Cut and Paste please... 1. Gatso & Soo
