  1. Sorry.. just to make it plain - it would replace the ST200, obviously not the Supe I'm not that senile yet
  2. Hi Shaun... My Missus keeps seeing you in Trowbridge, you ought to bring it to one of the Chippenham meets sometime (unless you have and I wasn't there) .... bring Harps with you
  3. Mine (and others it turned out) fouled the rear arches (the arch hit the tyre when on bumpy ground) and it seems the only way to cure this is to have the arches rolled (or cut them off) Search Rota GTR
  4. Can't help with the bolts - but have you rolled rear arches ? ( I hadn't)
  5. 0 - 60 in under 5 Secs, that would frighten the N/A lads http://www.smartuki.com/ Would frighten me driving it too, look how wobbly it is
  6. After my last thread on our Flying Flea Granny Car (modified Smart ForTwo 700) http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=128610&highlight=flying+flea I have to report that increasing the manufacturers factory BHP figure by 57% does produce a great little fun car that really gets lots of looks when overtaking peeps on the by-pass (usually unhappy ones) But, I also have to report that our little engine has blown up and needs a major rebuild We "may" be able to save the Turbo So the moral of this story is...... Was great fun while it lasted and we are going to do it again :d:d Watch out warminster reps in a couple of weeks
  7. I'm toying with getting one I need a proper 4 seater, I like the 350z and like the look of this one too, especially with the Top Secret or Damd nose. Had a go in one a month ago and it was good - not Supra fast (280 BHP - same engine as the 350z) but felt quick and stable. Proper 4 seater, big Brembos, nice boot, and not a lot about. Would only have a black manual one, which are hard to find. Nope - not a "proper" Skyline, but TBH (waits to be flamed) I think everything but the R34 GTR look dated and the R34 is to flashy (as is the Supe) to turn up to a business meeting in. I see them as an alternative to a Lexus - but more rare ! There was one at Pod last month on the AutoTrader stand (bit grubby though). Keep you posted....
  8. Premium Bonds... Number of years held: 43 years Number of wins: 0 Notified of change of address: yes OK, I admit it: Amount of £ invested: 10 But that was when a tenner was really worth a tenner
  9. It may have been mentioned, or you might not have a mortgage, but how about an off-set mortgage. Not very exciting, but you will save more on your mortgage payments than you would gain in interest in a bank or BS. Also, as your £10K grows the more you save
  10. Give the guy a break chaps... It's not a good idea to post suggestions like this on a public forum, and I personally don't think it's the best place to have a drive (quick or slow). But i understand that in years gone by there were a few "meets" at night that went for a quick blast round there (before mkiv's) and the people who did this then were certainly not "chavs". Must remember to google it sometime, but heard a radio prog recently about it. Saw this on a car recently (can't remember what make, but it wasn't memorable one) ! PS.. Love the umlaut !
  11. Perhaps people are being put off by the thoughts of the terrible "Tiggers of Longleat"
  12. Sounds very cheap to me, carefull Take it for somebody who knows about "cheap" paint jobs ---------- At Goodwood FOS last weekend all the Alfa's were a lovely red. I asked the chap if it was standard and he said, nope it was "special" ! Looked very like dark CandyApple.
  13. Heckler PM'd me to say sorry he's working, and AndyT says prob not
  14. Me too.... 1. Tigger 2. Mawby 3. Gatso Tigger: I'll PM the guys that showed an interest in the last one. Cheers G
  15. That's what I thought, but always pays to check, will pay for Soo and then she'll have to run... Cheers G
  16. Great Day... Highlights: Finally seeing the new GTR, one black one silver. The sound of the F1 cars going up the hill. Getting to see VBH in real life. Smelling an old Triumph GT6 - smelt just like mine did years ago ! Watching the WRC's going through the forest section. The lovely weather. Meeting Ivan & SimonB - obviously Knowing that if we had parked the car on a stand and not in the car-park, it would have got as many admiring glances as much of the £100K plus cars that were there (and more than the whole of the Toyota stands stuff put togther) ! WTF... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=156590
  17. Dragster... I'll pop some more pics of it (and others) up later, Great day - recommend it
  18. Spotted at the Goodwood Festival of Speed yesterday. This handsome single seater could be yours sometime. Note it's sweet lines and the perfect balance of the race designed chassis ! -------------- The main Toyota stand was awful, two booooring family saloons and a 4X4 - that's it ! -------------- Six cylinders just seems not enough now...
  19. Are we paying for the car to run or the driver / I'm booking and I'm trying to convince Sue to have a go ? Cheers G
  20. The Chippers Longleat meet is canceled so made a last minute booking to go tomorrow (Sat). Been once before (years ago) and it was great. Agreed very expensive, but where else can you see so many different types of fast cars in one day. Hope the sunny / showers forcast is right...
  21. Do I remember that the club had insurance or didn't pay if it rained - is it the same this year (as it's October) ? Cheers G
  22. Think I may have been married too long - I'm detecting a hint of truth in some of em...
  23. Interesting... I'm about to sign on the dotted for a new site that will cost well over a grand ! I did one myself : http://www.simpsons1979.co.uk but it's very simple as I'm deffo not a "techi". I need a more upmarket one and one that's optimised for the search engines. Just out of interest what do you know about an RSS feed linked to other sitea as a way of helping optimisation ?
