  1. Loved that guy... "What's The Bleeding-Time" ? etc... Just out of interest (only to me I'm sure) but he was a falconer and is buried on a grouse moor at Spinningdale in the Highlands.
  2. Ok... I admit I got carried away. i'll watch it lots to make up though
  3. Pleased to see that "The Gumpert" uses racelogic as well See Topgear last episode. The Gumpert: http://www.gumpert.de/eng/index_html.html
  4. Sorry Charlotte missed it Happy (belated) Birthday for yesterday. G
  5. Great... only down the road ! Home of Nestle ! it's usually this coming weekend (Sat) I'll drop the lovely Tigger a PM to see what's happening. Cheers G
  6. Welcome... Where in Wilts are you from, Wesbury here. Keep an eye out for Tiggers Chippenham Meet (pos next week) Cheers G
  7. Happy Yorkshire Day to all men (and wives) of Yorkshire and those who wished they were from God's own County which if you were honest, must be nearly all of you The un-polluted air, the rolling Yorkshire dales, the "Pudding" - the only pudding you can eat with your beef & brussels and then have as pud with some blackberry vinigar on - yum ! I almost wish I hadn't moved "down South" to the sun
  8. Disagree... I think people are to quick to want to "ban" anything they don't agree with. If you don't agree with it, don't do it, don't support it, don't watch it. The contest may not be in the "best possible taste" but i bet if they cancel it, none of the staving millions will be any better off. Remember... we drive a car that will do much more than twice the legal speed limit, if put to a public vote, how many would choose to ban em ? (and 200MPH bikes for that matter). I'll get my coat too... PS. I won't be watching it, as when I see them on TV (Jackass) it makes me feel sick !
  9. Ditto that Ivan... Please you popped up again Greg, really sorry to hear your of woes mate. Keep on the doctors bones and fingers crossed they will come up with something. All the best Gerry & Soo
  10. Sorry chaps & chapettes, left it late to post this but i can't get to this one. I hope somebody else will take over and organise something, if only just a meet and eat ! Still think a "reverse up to a breeze block" game would be fun - sort the men out form the boys (although I could see the closest winning measurement being six feet plus) Have fun...........
  11. Bugger... As I mentioned, will be in Cornwall that weekend Have fun all... Cheers G
  12. Was a brilliant day on Sunday... Just can't belive it wasn't full of spectators, the place was almost empty ! Had a great (6.30am) drive up there and saw a few nice motors on the way, the best being an XJ 220 which sadly stuck at 65 mph up the A34 despite me willing him to give it a little blip Silverstone was great, you could wonder anywhere you wanted, grandstands, pits, in and out of the garages talking to the drivers & mechanics... The two Silk Cut LeMan Jags looked and sounded great as did the JPS & Camel F1 cars. Some great racing too. Will pop a few pics up in the next day or so.
  13. Really pleased you guys had a great time over there... Looking forward to the pics & stories Glad you're back safe (sounds a bit grandad'ish that) but you know what I mean ! G
  14. Something about th sounds & smells of old cars that you just don't get with new ones... Saw an old GT6 like I had years ago at Goodwood the other week and the first ting I noticed when I bent down to look inside was that it smelt just like mine did - strange ! Gary... you two will have loads of time to do what you want to do when your kids get more independant, it's good, but I still miss having "kids" lots. Saying that, I spent all afternoon playing with my grandson in the garden - great !
  15. Anybody going... http://www.silverstone.co.uk/php/rm_classical.html Saw a bit on the telly today, the two Silk Cut jags looked brill, there were £14,000,000 worth of cars on that grid (until two crashed into each other) Soo's out tomorrow, so thinking of having a v early start and spending the day in the sun soaking up the sights and sounds Will take the camera..

No, but just spent the last 30 minutes looking at them, now all I can see is little squares in front of my eyes Trying to copy one at 8.26 to have a better look at !

Cool site... http://www.8200rpm.com/webcam/ Takes a pic of the start every minute, it can even e-mail you your selected pics. Prize for the first one who spots "the lads" !
  19. Getting a few texts from Jaymdee who is there for his first time, his first text on geting to the ring was "Holy Crap. This looks well scary. Lots of tricked up cars & bikes" Just found this brill little site that takes a webcam pic every minute at the start, see :http://www.8200rpm.com/webcam/ Not seen the lads yet, but lots of smart stuff... Jealous....
  20. We came across a grey Aston on the M4 West, prob a little after you did. Didn't want to play... Perhaps he'd been already "owned" by the Supe you saw and that was enough for one night On the other hand, perhaps he didn't deem old Toyotas as competition
  21. Thought it was wrong when I wrote it (was over excited) Calne... ---------------- Hey lads, less of the on-topic stuff here, I'm trying to do some serious flirting
  22. That's it.... cruzin around Corsham tonight
