  1. I would try either a new thread or sticky one... there's always someone (usually a few) who say afterwards "shame, I didn't know this was on" ! How about a PM to everybody who went last time - would be good to keep it mostly mkiv's. G

    Ahoy there!

Ahoy, me Hearties... I couldn't let the day go buy without saying a mighty Ahoy to all you bilge-sucking, scurvy ridden, scallywags (and Charlotte) May your fish all be fresh and your deck be pooped G PS... I must be a contender for best mkiv Pirate as I have a beard, am County fencing champ and a grouchy face
  3. PS... Great Movie on the home page linked above - worth a look.
  4. Anybody else going to ths meet http://www.goodwood.co.uk/site/content/revival/default.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1 I've been a couple of times before and it's brilliant. The sound of these old cars going round is deafening but really, really great. The cost of some of the cars is huge, but the drivers give it totally 100% commitment - takes some guts when on the oldies the top half of your body is sticking up above the top of the car. To see some of them going 100 plus on skinny tyres drifting round the bends would make old F&F Vin sweat. Not cheap, but where else can you watch Derek Bell, Sir Jack Brabham, Sir Stirling Moss, Sir Jackie Stewart, Martin Brundle, Emerson Fitipaldi, Wayne Gardner, Steve Parrish and so many more (inc. car nut Rowan Atkinson) all racing in one day. Plus: as many of the ladies dress in period garb, you may chance to see the odd stocking top Recommended.... G
  5. Just my personal view... I think to open it up to other marques would be a bad move. 1, I think it would inevitably turn into a clicky (spellin) gathering when we stopped, which would spoil the great "clubby" feel of the last two. 2, Whilst I like a bit of "spirited driving" if there was more than one marque it would turn into a "race", which in this type of car could be bad. I also think a two / three day event would be a lot better than a "day trip" as for most of the members it's a lot of driving just to get to the train, and involves a stay over in the SouthEast, which some may not think worth, just for a quick blat into France. Just my thoughts... Cheers G
  6. I can't go but it looks a brilliant entry list: http://www.brightonandhovemotorclub.co.uk/ST2008Entries.htm Website: http://www.brightonandhovemotorclub.co.uk/ Note for the diary for next year as it's the day before the Ace Cafe Brighton Blast, huge bike meet there. Great weekend, pity I'll miss it

    Dear Nissan...

Looks a bit like the Infinity (Nissan) G35 Sedan (in pic) which (I think) is the four door version of the Infinity G35 or Skyline 350GT as it is in Japan. Pic Infinity G35 Sedan Still toying with the idea of selling the ST200 and getting a 350GT.
  8. Just to also make it clear that I have nothing against Grannys (just in case GrannySoo is looking in)
  9. Yum... Manga Chutney with a nice Chicken Tikka and a nan (just to make it clear, that it with a nice flatbread - not a Granny)
  10. Great thanx Katie, although after a day at work it seems hard to believe that 48 hours ago I was snorkeling in a warm, crystal clear sea watching lovely fish eating bread out of my hand. I wanna go back Tigger... Sorry, seems ages ago that we had an eat / drink together as well. Are you going to SupraPod ? Hope so... G
  11. Can't belive I'm going to miss another one Got a competition in Telford (wherever that is, not looked yet) on Sat & Sun. Think Soo's going to say with friends in London and hopefully going to the Ace Cafe Brighton Run on Sunday (huge biker run). Have a great meet, hope the weathers nice for you all. Hope to catch you sooon. G
  12. OK, I was wrong... Weather was crappy hear I'm told It does make me feel very guilty when I think that most of the week the hardest thing we had to do was decide how to get from the bar to the beach (and back again) without getting sunburnt ! Great week, can recommend the island if you need a place to chill out. Lots of drinking & eating, lots of laying on the beach trying to decide if I prefered looking at big boobs or smaller ones, bronzed or "fresh off the plane" white etc etc... However - just to cheer you up I can report that I'm back at work now and it's still raining
  13. Six hours to set off for Gatwick and we are now going in the Smart Car Two adults, two cases, two rucksacks, Soo says "no problem" Daughters car went pop this morning so I've given her the ST200 for the week Did think about going in the Supe for about 2 seconds, but the thought of leaving it at airport parking made the Smarty seem lots better
  14. The summer will start tomorrow folks - almost guaranteed. Soo and I are escaping to the sun for a week and whenever we go abroad it's always sunny here (so we could have saved our dosh) ! Going to Kefelonia (Greek Islands) as a change to Kos (nothing to do with CJ being in Kos honest) So my forcast for you is: Tomorrow, warming up and more sunny. Rest of this week, getting warmer with "nice weekend" predictions. The weekend, Hotest on record with water shortages & mass sunburn. Next week, turning dull with rain & gales expected on Tuesday (to welcome us back). Hope the above is right for you (the hot bit anyway). Cheers G

    Come on Girleez

Amazing, this thread has only been on three minutes and it's had 12 views already - when I post, it takes me three days to get twelve views OK men... the bets are being taken; Evens: 1/4 mile in three minutes due to dropping lippy on the way down the track 20 / 1: Gets lost between the start & finish line 50 / 1: Won't go more than 70 in case a slow moving vehicle turns out of a side road 100 / 1: Soo beats me and I have to sell the car in shame Hope we get some more ladies running, will be fun G
  16. Happy belated Birthday mate... G & S
  17. Sorry Ivan... I remember now you've told me ! Many thanks Cheers G
  18. I was just looking through some old (from this year though) photo's and came accross this one. I've tried to find out the photographers website and tried all sorts of combinations of the name on the pic without success. It was sent to me by a member who found it on another car site after the Japfest at Castle Combe but I can't remember who ! 1, Was it you ? 2, Anybody any clue's ? Would like the original in high res. Cheers G
  19. Could it be linked to "The Red Button" ? G
  20. Have a chat to Jurgen JM-Imports (above) if you arn't already.
  21. Just signed up for me and Soo, and yes, Soo's running So - come you girleez, she's looking for a ladies only race Get yer names down... G
  22. It should give an additional 10% BHP on top of the remap, looking at 110-115 BHP (it always makes me smile talking about these BHP figures on a Supe forum but at 740 kg, it will be around the 150 BHP/Ton, so quite nippy). Will be a lot quicker than the Fortwo Brabus (more BHP) and Roadster (more BHP & lighter) NOS next ...
  23. Just an update for all the fans (Jon & John - that makes three of us) of Smart cars Knackered the turbo too So as I'm a mature, sensible and fairly careful person, I'm having a bigger turbo fitted I've got a Garrett GS1238S that goes in the Roadster going in. The only mod needed is to the exhaust manifold as it's bigger. Seemed the only sensible thing to do Will keep you posted... PS... Saw a lime green one recently with a number plate that ended in "YUK" .. brill
  24. Don't be mean - buy her a TT. She'll love you much more
