  1. As you know, I organised a few in the spring. before I got too busy during the summer. Looking at the last couple of meets, there was a poor turnout - not sure why as I would have thought there was lots of members within 20-30 miles of there. I can't do this Saturday but will buy you a cuppa if you want to have Sunday morning brekky with us see: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=162460 We (the S E lot) should at least have a Christmas meet, if not at the Fairmile, somewhere. How about moving the December meet to a bit later in the month (still on a Saturday) ? Just a thought... G PS... remember that if you call it the SEM in threads, 90% of members won't know what it is !
  2. Easy... tell your boyfriend that if he doesn't buy you one you will get a boyfriend who will Do you like beards ?
  3. Thought I was told that pulling the fuse (which one ?) gave quicker times when on a drag strip ?
  4. Just giving this a bump... I know there are lots of you in hants area. G
  5. Hi ken... Seen this ? http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=162460
  6. How about 9.00 am, can't see any times on there, or later if the morning goes on later?
  7. Just a thought, would be good to be able to park together, how about meeting at McDees about a mile away from Goodwood and going in together ?
  8. May be worth pointing out that the Nov 2nd meet if a "Japanese car" morning. Looks like we can park on the track Think Ivan mentioned this a couple of weeks ago and said he was going along. Weather permitting 1) supramatt 2) Tricky-Ricky 3) Gatso n Soo 4) Ivan 5) 6) 7) 8) 9)
  9. How about The Manor Hotel in the village ? http://www.manorhouse.co.uk/EXCLUSIVE_HOTELS/the_hotel.aspx It's got a "special" on including champagne for only £395.00 per night There's even somewhere to park your chopper (I always wanted a nice place to park my chopper)
  10. Started my 2009 calender last week, seemed a bit silly, but the summer goes so fast. Both the Japshow dates are up for Pod now and want to go again to the Silverstone Classic (great day) and Festival of Speed & Revival at Goodwood. Missed the Brighton Speed Trails again this year but it's the day after the Ace cafe Brighton bike run, so looking to stay over in the town for the night. Started looking forward to SupraPod 09 too :-) Once you add local meets and about ten fencing competitions, the years looking busy already...
  11. Not sure about Dawkins but I think the Humanists have got it spot on. Seems their only "rule" is "treat everybody like you would like to be treated" or something like that. If you follow that, you don't need any other rules / commandments etc. Not heard of any Humanists cutting people heads off, blowing people up, etc etc.
  12. I hate you... "the feeling" - it's started again, worse now I've looked at your thread I'll try not to PM you. Good luck with the sale.
  13. Good thread... I'm sure like many on here I have dark thoughts of going (or buying) a "single" - especially after being at SupraPod on Saturday. But I'm about as mechanical as my dog and I would only want a Specialist guy / company to do the work for me... so big bucks. I see them on pistonheads, but I suspect it would take hours / days for a Specialist to go through the set-up to check if it was OK (if the owner would let someone - doubtfull). I just can't justify 10-15K on top of the car, so I'll just stick to drooling over youtube etc. Trouble is - none of the above stops me wanting one

Mods... I've done a re-post I belive this is my first, and in my defence, it's been a very long day and I left my glasses at work. I did check and only found two threads with R8 in them. Please accept my most humble apologies - feel free to delete this thread and ban me for a period of your choice. To other members who have looked at this re-post, I also apologise to you and beg your forgiveness for wasting your valuable time. I'm very, very sorry:(
