Thanks mate... Started again last night ! I don't know why I bother really as it's completely frustrating, I can only think it's the very sexy voice of my tutor Oh no... I'm turning into a Geekzoid Think I'm just going to mine for a bit and learn as I go, tried shooting a friendly ship in frustration but got "Podkilled" ! Black Ged mk11 is now up and running Is that MrAngry as in mkivsupra MrAngry ? Cheers G
  2. Seems a sensible and effective way of preventing speeding, I'm surprised they havn't done it already. SPECS - I hate the things I think we may be living (and driving) in the last decade or so when you will be able to go over the limit without knowing 99% that you will be caught, fined, banned. Seems a shame somehow... I suppose if everybody did stick exactly to the speed limits, there were cameras on all roads, cities and public buildings inside and out plus we were all forced to carry identity cards, it may be a slightly safer Country. But, on the day after Remembrance Sunday, I'm not sure that this is the "freedom" that my Great grandad died in the war for

    Eve online

Well... Me and Eve, had a look at this thread and was amazed at the thought of thousands of people all in one game and the great graphics. Signed up the other night and spent until 2.30am doing the first tutorial / learning mission. Now have spent another few hours trying to get my head around the gazillion controls and options. Could not believe how hard it was to control and how few other players (real ones) there were in my bit of space ! After all this investigation my overall opinion is simple - I'm far to old for stuff like this My brain simply can't hold enough information and the learning curve is to steep - I'm a Yorkshireman afterall Next time I get the urge to fly and shoot stuff it will be less painful for me to grab my 12 bore and jump of the garage roof
  4. Best answer so far... OK for you smarties out there I'll re-title it. "What did we do before everybody had PC's (with massive search engines on them)" ? Suppose the answer was Books, Yellow Pages, Directory Enquiries and guessing...
  5. It's funny how quick you (humans) get used to things... Google just helped me out - again, it's brilliant. This time it was a virus that got past, then disabled AVG. I simply Googled the message that it was giving and five minutes later I'd downloaded a program and fixed it (had to reinstall AVG though). I use it all the time, at work for finding details from phone numbers, phone numbers from post codes etc etc. I can Google Map a prospective customers place of work whilst he's on the phone to see how big a place he has etc etc. It's helped me re-wire lighting (that had old coloured wires in it) and explain the difference between a turbo & supercharger so i don't sound so stupid on here. A wonder of the age I recon... G
  6. As above - take care mate... If you want your new wheels to be delivered to me I'll run them in for you
  7. I love the Gorilla ad it's brilliant... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=TnzFRV1LwIo
  8. This is the new spa there: http://www.thermaebathspa.com/ Soo's been a few times and says it's a really nice place. You can swim on the roof watching the gulls flying over ! The Roman bath's is nice as well (if you are into such stuff). http://visitbath.co.uk/site/things-to-do/roman-baths-p25681 Hope you have a good time... G
  9. I say well done mate... If it bugs you and you can get it sorted, why not. I had the same reducing operation on my willy many years ago and although it's still huge, it doesn't dangle in the water when I take a pee
  10. Great race.. In my wisdom I said to Sue with 45 seconds to go "well, he's blew it again" but for one I was really pleased I was wrong Well done Lewis... Looks like Toyota are getting their act together as well
  11. A mate of mine ran last year on a borrowed (non photo) licence, but that would be very naughty (you would also need to know a kindly person there)... Good luck G

    Youtube Tweak

After extensive and exhaustive investigation based on a completely random youtube video, I think you are right http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=aZ1VCPJrhDw&fmt=18 After comparing the two versions a large number of times, I think the quality is better on the “tweaked” version, although I think this copy is not that clear, although it may be that my glasses are fogged
  13. Weather looks cloudy with sunny showersat best Too far (bout 2 hours away) to risk a wet, cold morning standing around, going to give it a miss. Pity as it looks like it would be a nice relaxing way to start a Sunday... Going to organise a December at the Heron (nr Fleet) before Christmas if anybody is interested. Have a good one of you go... G
  14. Going to look at the forcast later today and make a decision. Looking 50/50 at the mo as saying "showers". Ivan can't get now (says in another thread) so not a great turnout ! Fingers crossed for the afternoon forcast.#
  15. Weather looks iffy at the moment (showed rain on forcast) so will decide tomorrow. Cheers G
  16. Spooktastic work Mawby...
  17. Have you ever been to Flames & Thunder ? Cold isn't the word, by 3.00pm you can't feel your nose, ears and hands. By 5.00pm you can't see much cos of the streaming tears in your eyes and if you're a bloke and need a wee - foget it By the time it gets dark you just stand / sit there willing that hypothermia kills you fairly quickly and have replaced your hankey with a bucket tied onto your nose. When the end does finally come (the show - not life) you sit in your car for two hours growing an ulcer as you are cut up by wan&ers in the huge que to get out of the place. On the good side... the lighting is great and watching the rocket / jet car in the dark is brilliant. Good Tip: park as close to the entrance as you can and walk to the track, as getting out is really a nightmare.
  18. Yep, Soos going (again, I keep saying weather permitting as it's a couple of hours away and we don't fancy driving / eating there if it's wet or dull and crappy etc). Saying that, it's been beautiful the last couple of mornings here. Can't believe we havn't had a better response
  19. Voluntary - definitely Compulsory - for some people As has already been said, if you left your dog in the same condition as some people are left to die in, you would be regarded as cruel. Lots of grey areas, but in general, I think, properly controlled, it should be lawfull. PS... I may change my mind as I get older
  20. Thank you... Are you going to leave old times on or delete (as my old ones still on there) ? Cheers G
  21. Hi Mr Mawby, Can you please add us to your list. As you can see it's hardly worth updating my attempt as it's only 0.03 secs better In your spreadsheet order: 13.660 105.61 2.289 Gatso J Spec Stock 1.0 Auto Goodyear F1 Suprapod 08 Old 14.025 104.87 2.471 Soo J Spec Stock 1.0 Auto Goodyear F1 SupraPod 08 Woman Thank you... 22. PS... it's free to get in as well - that must be a first for Goodwood PPS.. doesn't say how much breakfast is though
  23. Just so you don't miss this: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=162460 Looks like a nice get together in the bright (cold) sunny Sunday morning for a cuppa and "full english". It's a themed day so it looks to me like us Jap Car guys get to park on the track to be drooled over by the non-Supra owning public ! May be a good photo opportunity There must be more than half a dozen of us who like a Sunday morning blast and a natter with fellow members... May even be a new GTR there for those who didn't see Jurgen's at the Pod. If the weathers nice it will be a nice way to spend the morning before the F1 starts late afternoon. Sign up on the other thread chaps... G
