  1. Just spotted this (long) thread... I think that generally the people who mostly have a problem with N/As, are N/A owners who seem to feel they have to justify owning one (not all, but some). IMO most TT owners are chilled (although sometimes have a little tease now and then - as you do). I suspect most N/A owners would prefer a TT, most TT owners would prefer (a well sorted) Single, and most Single owners would prefer an Aston Horses for courses... That's not to mention the masses of little Jap car owners that would prefer an N/A. PS... Stunning morning here, masses of thick white frost & brilliant sunshine, if Soo had.t pinched the Supe to go on a Girly run, I'de have braved the cold & taken some pics.
  2. Was watching the Ghost Rider taunt the German (I think) police on a Hayabusa Turbo the other night, sounded lovely. I'm sure you can find the link on Youtube.... G
  3. Great News... For one time at least I agree with the Europeans over our own lawmakers. I'm sure that if (most) of the current Government and the police had had thier way, we would all have our DNA taken at birth and a bar code tattooed onto our neck. Why not take it a step more and have us all clock in and out of our homes, or they could just put up even more cameras. Obviously it would make sense to limit all cars to only go the maximum speed limit and jail anybody to tried to alter this. etc............ I'm sure somebody will come up with the old line "if you innocent, you won't mind all of this" but IMO liberty comes along with a slight acceptable risk - which I'm willing to take.
  4. "Optimisation" is the answer Matt. First of all I don't know a lot either, but what I pay somebody who does for is to get me up to the top of the Google search. It's a way of writing key words into the the web site program, some which you will see on the site and some that are written in the background. We had a site and we were the same, you could only find us if you put the company name and town. Now I've linked the stuff we do (Karcher) in with the towns we sell to, so if you search now on Google "Karcher Bournemouth" we come up in positions one and two It's also linked to other key words, eg Steam Cleaner, Pressure Washer etc. The company we use tell me it's an ongoing process and we pay them monthly for the work they do. The hard thing is to find a company that will do as they say yhey will do (the first thing I did was to put thier name in Google) ! I'm sure there are dozens of companies who do this, but if you want to chat with my bloke please give me a PM. Cheers Gerry
  5. Sorry Michael, if it’s any consolation I stole (borrowed) it from Merckx - although he may have stolen (borrowed) it from you Think not of it as me ripping your stuff off, but more of it as a tribute to your ingenuity in finding it
  6. Sorry... just had to try it out on someone
  7. Yes... http://tinyurl.com/5t75qv Your'e welcome
  8. Changed (but prefer Hoff's)
  9. Liquid Art from the Kranz GB.
  10. Sounds like a great move... Just make sure you double check your sums, especially in a recession it's easy to keep busy by lowering your margins, but your overheads will still be the same. You need to make sure you know exactly how much more business you need to keep doing to make the same profit, and the hard bit is keeping it up, if your turnover falls your reduced profit margin will plummet. I'm sure you've got it covered... Sadly my business is always discounting like mad and you can buy identical equipment on-line for silly money
  11. Did you ever get your Twin Turbo graphic ? (I've got one for sale)
  12. I briefly followed a black one that turned off into Frome last Tuesday. Had a VeilSide spoiler.
  13. 0 7 Says I'm "normal" but now I'm stressed cos I don't think I'm stressed enough
  14. Thanx mate... You have a PM. Cheers G Creative: not even going to look at GT-R's, they are only for the Nouveau Riche
  15. Yes, just wondered if you ever compare your times with any race series at the tracks you drive on and are ever tempted to have a go in one ? Near us at Castle Combe, we have a "Special GT" series that has a mixture of cars (inc a mk3 Supe having a go last year). What's the attraction of Time Attack ? is it the "non contact" aspect or something else ?
  16. Well... nice to see some clips of a Supra etc. but what a completely crap TV programe. It must have cost them at last £25.00 to make. Most of the time it didn't tell you who was driving and in the in-car shots it didn't say what car or where they were ! Paul, how do your lap times compare with similar cars racing at the same tracks ?
  17. War of the Worlds.. it's started
  18. Just started on Motors TV. 11.30 Sun
  19. Me too... We run Vivaros 1.9 turbo & Movanos 2.5 turbo and there great You can see lots better than in a car, everybody knows you are coming, the performance of modern vans is really good and their comfy Ony two drawbacks: 1, I can never remember what the lower speed limits are, and 2, They have my name and number on the back doors Swapping my Mondeo with an engineers Movano for the weekend (to help more a mate) and quite looking forward to it. Just remembered another drawback, I'm a free removal service for friends and family !
  20. OK, I'm a failure Will stick to winding up my engineers
  21. I was in Thursday wind-up mode yesterday... It's to replace one of my engineers vans and I gave him the new details (he can't wait to get his new van) but I altered the Reg Number to read MM 57 TIT He tried not to comment on it, but eventually said the van looked great but he wasn't that pleased with the reg number. I put him out of his misery this morning Am I a bad man ?
  22. After many problems in the last few months, mainly with the gearbox, I jumped in on Wednesday to find I'd lost 3rd & 4th Couldn't decide if it would be good money wasted to have it repaired again so did some lookig on the Net to see what was about. Found this smart white, six speed manual single turbo. Very low milage and sweet inside & out. Not modded at all but this time I'm temped to leave it that way. What's more I sold the old one for good money whilst it was sitting outside broken. The new beast should be with me early next week - can't wait Pics & details here: http://www.findvauxhall.co.uk/usedcars/details.php?id=2316116&dealerid=123 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Sorry - in Friday wind-up mode
  23. Know what you mean - I used to like Lui as well G
  24. Me too ! Novembers OK, but in sunny Brum on the 6th.
