  4. Thanks mate.... didn't spot this was on - great
  5. I foolishly bought a cheap shrub recently, I was advised to go for a tree but they were a bit more expensive and the insurance was lower on the shrub. Plus I was told that a shrub would be more reliable and I'd never use the benefit of a tree anyway. But now every time I see a tree I want one I was thinking about trading it in for a tree but the current market for shub is rubbish at the moment they are almost giving them away. If your tree is still for sale in the Spring and I can sell my titchy shub I'll PM you mate
  6. Oh... no mods on at all now.... go for it Andy Merry Christmas all....
  7. Gerry

    I am so pleased!

I started to feel sorry for you Colin when I read your first post - then I remembered: You live a stones throw from a beautiful beach and spend your summer chatting to scantily clad women from all over the world (and get paid for it). It's eaither warm, hot or sizzling and if it gets too bad you can always risk the boiling hot sand and run down into the blue sea to cool off (taking care not to step on any topless sunbathers on the way) The foods cheap, the ouzo's cheaper and the beers chilled And... you didn't spend over a grand to BPU your Supe only to go .003 of a second faster this year at SupraPod ----------------------------------------- PS. Pleased your prezzie turned up, hope I can buy you a beer over there next summer mate (wasn't keen on Kefalonia this year). Happy Christmas Colin. Gerry & Soo
  8. It would be nice to think that they could be resumed, we used to enjoy the meets there. I organised a few in the Spring (search for Fairmile for vids) but the numbers seemed to dwindle and I stopped when other things got busy in the summer. It would be lots easier for a "local" to liase with the pub and organise meets, but we would need a willing member. It's also a bit disappointing when you organise one, spend time reminding people on here and then only a couple of people turn up. If nobody else does, I may start again, but would do it when the weather started getting better. G
  9. Thanx folks... Think I'll have a bash with Gmail. The lack of spam sounds nice. Cheers G
  10. I'm closing down our aol account (no kids at home now so can have a grown up ISP) but I'm after a new e-mail provider. Seems lots of peeps use hotmail and some yahoo, google etc. Reading the net, it's googlemail that sems to come out top for less spam etc. What do you use ?
  11. Suppose if nothing else works you could try Tumble Drying it on the high setting for a couple of hours : : : : sorry, didn't have any sensible suggestions
  12. Drat... forgot she was on X factor, got sucked into Jackass 2 (and this entertaining thread) may have a little peep if it's still on.
  13. I'm glad somebody said that, "alluring" is the word, I find my eyes wondering to her pale skin and red hair Saying that I did have a huge crush on a posh redhead when I was younger (lots) something must have stayed with me
  14. It comes to us all mate... I can't talk... watched Girls Aloud Christmas Party and was forced to agree with Soo that they were all too skinny ! (Forced being the word) I hate watching Girls Aloud, it's a living hell trying to decide between the two "Coles", it's a toss up between the two of them G
  15. Ah... it's all becoming clear now Pig. Selling the car, watching SCD on the telly, me thinks you are settling into married like very quickly
  16. The Club won't be the same without you Pig Always admired your do or die attitude (first Dragonball with an unset-up turbo) It's always great to hear you popping & banging at meets... Although you only drive it infrequently, bet you love it when you do... Don't do it mate... PS. I realise that the above reasons are all selfish on my part, but thought a it was worth a try
  17. What's more, all the pretenders make it worse for the few people who do have a proper problem, as it's been said above, manufacturers simply plaster "may contain nuts" on everything, which doesn't help anybody.
  18. Sadly it sounds like your sister is one of those very few people who have a nut allergy. That's why I said " that there are some (very few) people out there who have bad reactions to certain things" which I belive. But I don't belive that everybody who claims to have problem has.
  19. I seem to have a strange and uncharacteristic intolerance to people who have intolerances, nuts, wheat, lactose, etc etc. To me they so often seem to be people who like being the centre of attention. I’m sure (I think) that there are some (very few) people out there who have bad reactions to certain things, eating cat’s, being shot, etc but my gut reaction is that it’s mainly just a fashion. Best not say any more
  20. The big red lorry went up the hill, the pots and pans went up the hill.........
