    Golf R32 Detail

So to sum it up "he cleaned his car" right ?
  2. Thanx, I'll give A F a go. I used to use them when I had a Westfield, the first one was totally destroyed in a fire and the second had 3rd degree burns from an engine fire and they were very fair with both claims ! I'll keep the thread posted. G
  3. Hi, I'm starting this thread again as it's insurance time in a couple of weeks and it seems that the "book price" of Supes has likley to have fallen again. This means that if the car was written off there would be a Big difference between what I've spent on it and what I would be offered for it as a write off. I'm with Sky at the mo, who couldn't offer it last year, but I'm more determined to get it if at all possible. Hs anybody got Agreed Value Insurance in the last year (on a new policy) ? Cheers G

    Umbongo

Wickedpedia says: Umbongo: many people believe that the phrase “Umbongo, Umbongo, they drink it in the Congo” was simply a marketing device that was for the benefit of television adverts. This is not so, and Umbongo is one of the top three soft drinks consumed in the Congo and many Central African countries, although it is re-named “Cheers”. Roundtree McDavish Group who manufacture Umbongo in the UK and Europe did try to compete in the Central African soft drink market in the late 1970’s but found sales were slow and the name left them with a number of law suits as “Umbongo” was sold by Congolese exporters to Tanzania where the name was being confused with “Umbogo” which is the local name for the chest flem that results from excessive smoking of the dabinga root, a popular tobacco like substance. When in 1984 Roundtree McDavish Group changed the name to “Cheers” they saw sales increase steadily and today “Cheers” is the third top selling soft drink after Coca-Cola and Pepsi-Cola, the latter being sold as Peepee-Cola. Roundtree McDavish Group have now manufacturing plants in four Central African Countries where they manufacture “Cheers” and also a range of heavy duty industrial cleaning agents and paint strippers. So now we know G
  5. Last time this was posted I thought "what a good idea" and the next time I was filling up I asked a bloke who was filling up next to me if I could look at his dials (and explained why) He obviously thought that I A) wanted to steal his car or property or B) I was completely mad I had a very embarrassing two minutes (and Soo was laughing out loud at me from our passenger seat)
  6. Someone on here bought a really lovely little turbo'd (or supercharged) red one - I remember seeing the pics. Built well as well, Soo had a head-on crash with a Ford Probe, wrote the Probe off but the MX was repairable. - Must mention it was totally his fault, overtaking a long row of cars on a small road on the approach to a bend - stupid turd.
  7. I'm waiting for the Honda GX160 engine version to be released - batteries are for whimps
  8. Gerry

    Thread search ?

Think that's the one... cheers mate. G
  9. Soo and I were having a discussion on what a certain member looked like (who shall remain nameless as he's lots younger and better looking than me) ** There was a Pics of members thread on here, but i can't find it ! Can anybody help with it ? G ** yes, I know that doesn't narrow it down much
  10. I think this might be a "repost" I've seen a complete thread on him (them) and as I don't go on any other forums (that's apart from http://www.fiftyanddesperate.com. Yet another very sad (but sidesplittingly funny) thread Can anybody find it ?
  11. I'm with you Rosie (wishful thinking)... I can't understand how it makes financial sense to sell a ticket for a couple of quid, months before the flght ! I could understand if it was at the last minute if they were going to fly with a few unsold seats. Went to Austria last year and it cost me £1.86 there and £15.00 for a sports bag (and just a bit more to return) - not complaining, just can't get my head around why
  12. Subscribed... I'll let MrT and IDO know as in the excitment of SupraPod we all said it "had to be done" sometime Plus Mrs Gatso said I deserve a holiday on my own this year if I want one Just thought - i wonder why
  13. Sorry - it took me so long to do this, I missed you Oh well, back to the drawing board
  14. OK... As I'm crap with techy stuff like this but as i belong to a forum that is overflowing with almost genius like members (no, this one) I thought I would use your combined brains to win me a go I recon that if I combine your massed skills in selecting a weight then I'm sure to win. So... My guess is 1374 Kg. This is (almost) the average of the 45 choices so far (excluding one who shall be nameless) In fact the nearest weight was 1375, but this has already been chosen (twice) so I'm hoping that at the last minute they throw the fluffy dice out and same me a kg. Out of interest (and just to prove how competitive and sad I am) I also chose the six most knowledgable people on here (IMO) and their combined guess was 1377, although saying that, their range was very large as well. For you interest (and to help future competitors) the list so far is: 1301 1305 1307.5 1308 1313 1327 1328 1335 1337 1338 1345 1357 1359 1360 1362 1364 1366 1370 1371 1374 1375 1375 1376 1377 1380 1381 1382 1382 1386 1387 1389 1390 1395 1398 1399 1400 1401 1406 1410 1410 1414 1415 1420 1440 1450 1468 3890 61859.5 divided by 45 = 1374.64 I'll give you a wave as I go by....
  15. A fellow Austringer I flew hawks ( never had the ground / quarry for a falcon) for about thirty years brilliant fun. Love Spars, had some memorable flights at pheasants, but they never managed to down them, I did have a little Musket that hit a cock pheasant on the rise and rode it for a while looking like a jocky on a horse Had Goshawks and Harris's and my last one I had for about fifteen years (female Harris) who took pheasants, rabbits (lots) and a Cairn terrier in front of it's family on a Sunday walk - very frightening Have promised myself I'll get back to it someday, maybe try a falcon, got a good mate who breeds Peregrine x Gyr, great big lumps
  16. Seems a perfectly reasonable price for the "King of Steering Wheels" The only aftermarket wheel that not only looks great but can save your life. Bargain.... PS... got a boxed new one in my bedrom
  17. Congrats RedM... Happy New Year All G
  18. Happy New Year all... Not quite a riot here, we said we would have grandson for the night (he's three) and he's still awake upstairs with Soo trying to get him to sleep. I'm down here with a roaring fire, the PC and a large Knockando (my bestest single malt) Think Soo will be asleep before Ethan Hope 2009 will be really great for you all... "Cheers" G

    Tyre Preference

I recon if you had added Goodyear Eagle F1 to the poll it would come out top ! Seems to me that it's been the most talked about tyre on here for a number of years. just my 2ps worth
  20. I still can't decide on the Bomex or not, even after we got one fitted. Somtimes I see it and think it looks brilliant and other times love the clean lines of stock. Think next time it would be a stock front with splitter. Saying that I do like the Top Secret - unless SimonB is following me in his Whifbits front
  21. Yep, but I liked the pic better than the SupraPod pics I took I'll risk the Mods sending the heavies around:hide:
  22. Cooool.... Thanx Rob, pic is from the Goodwood Revival Meet this year, I go for the cars, obviously
