  1. I told Sky this morning that I was looking elsewhere as they couldn't offer me Agreed Value and they said OK. AF have come back with an agreed value of £10K (I was after £12which I thought was fair). The car is on excellent nic, got 49,000 miles and about £6K of mods on. Pushing for an increase on the agreed value... will keep you posted :-)
  2. Made in Germany If I could get an order for five or more I could squeeze the price down to around £12K each It's not as aggressive as a sand / shot blaster but if you are using it in a Nuclear Plant, you don't have any contaminated radioactive sand / shot to get rid of.
  3. TRAGIC ACT OF WANTON VIOLENCE IN WILTSHIRE VILLAGE This morning between 8.00am and 8.25am it was reported that an innocent local man was slain by a violent armed killer. Police are looking for speeders as usual. Pic 1: Ivan Stababolokov, professional Russian epeeist now on the run. Pic 2: Local Somerset man Reg Worzle, waving at a passing car. Pic 3: Minutes after the mindless assault (NWS) What a sad, sad world we live in
  4. Sold an Ice Blaster today... It's the first time I've seen one working, very impressive as although it doesn't clean faster or better than a sand blaster it leaves 0% residue - just the dirt it cleans off. We were cleaning reconditioned electric motor systems off trains covered in a think layer of old grease & muck. No water / grit ingress and no clean up afterwards. Just uses compressed air and dry ice. The one we have supplied will reduce the waste bill the company gets by about 20K a year They were using a steam cleaner but have to pay big money to dispose of the contaminated water. See: Group buy

    Weetabix

Many years ago we bought some "own brand" Weetabix and they floated You needed to kill them with a fork to make them sink... never again How about a nice bacon sandwich - but is it tomato sauce or mayo ???????????
  6. Re Warwick Davis Spoke to a very nice young lady today, who said she could offer "like for like" on the modifications but not on the whole car. This means that if the car is worth 10K and is written off, you would still only get the "book value" back (lots lower now I feel). I'll let you know the outcome of AF !
  7. Drat... just seen this amazing item If it's not to late I can offer you two items that together must make the winning bid: One yellow paperclip (red is so 1980's) and to match an oldish lemon that has a bit of blue-green mould on the end. The paperclip would be just the job for clipping paper together and the lemon has a least 68 uses: eg: 1, Squeezing over your Little Gems to give them a bit of bite. 2, Drizzling over an enemy cut to cause a nasty sting. 3, Watching the green fluffy stuff gradually creep round it. 4, Feeding to a starving animal that likes to eat lemons. etc...
  8. Thanks for that... Will give them a go against AF. AF have "bent the rules" they say, and have sent me an Agreed Value form out before I sign up with them. They usually ask you to sign up (pay) and then assess the agreed value bit - not happy with that ! Will keep you posted... G
  9. On the other hand... http://www.steakandbjday.co.uk/ G
  10. Just filled out an on-line quote for Adrian Flux who, in their advert (see: http://www.adrianflux.co.uk/modified-detail-go.php ) offer agreed value on modified cars ! We will see ! PS. the form had space for four modifications (even I need 23 to be 100% accurate) dread to think of the hoops the Big Single boys have to go through
  11. Happy Birthday Chaps... Pleased you're all catching me up G

    passed mot.

Didn't start another thread as there are lots of "I've passed" ones already, but... I've passed BPU, no cats & RSR and sailed through Very relieved as I thought I was going to have to get the Cats & Zaust back on just for the MOT. The owner has a very nice old (think 70's) Celica GT that he's restoring, he says it will be ready for Japfest and he's going to put it round the track !
  14. Nope... Can't fly a plane or entertain seven young lady groupies at the same time either :( THE WORLD IS NOT FAIR
  15. Met him in the first round, very nice, tidy fencer, but he couldn't cope with my unorthadox style Gatso 5 = Bruce 0 Great day, now UK rank 10 with one more competition to get up to top four and selection to GBR team to fight in Russia in the Autumn - not likely, but possible. G

    Enter Sandman

    Brilliant... love YouTube
  17. Got "A2 S00" (for Soo) when they were first sold by the DVLA, £250 - bargain Wish I could have afforded £350 for "A2 SUE" as an investment though would be worth more than the Supe now Quite like reg's ending with BYE (as in V 999 BYE) or WOW or XXX
  18. Know nothing about Kendo, is it full contact and are there rules (conventions) like in foil & sabre - but not Epee
  19. Wikipedia: When the recordings were finished in December 1987, Dickinson moved to Bonn, so that he could be close to the West Germany training centre for fencing. At the end of the '80s Dickinson was at the peak of his fencing career, eventually ranked as high as 7th in Great Britain in the men's foil discipline, while his club side, the Hemel Hempstead Fencing Club, represented Great Britain in the European Cup of 1989. Just found out he's a "foilist" which all fencers know are soppy fairys He's entered in Epee (heavier, stiffer modern duelling sword) so he's in for a beating
  20. I'm fencing in the GB Veterans Fencing Championships at the weekend and have just heard that Bruce Dickinson front man of Iron Maiden is in my age group... Cat 2 (Old Gits) Apparently he's fenced for years and was on the Great Britain team some time ago. It says on Google that he has also recently (?) trained as an airline pilot (not sure if I'd be happy if I knew he was in charge of my Jumbo on the way to the States) ! When I hear his (their) name I mostly think of drugged up, boozed up, "goes to eleven" types Suppose everybody grows up Should be fun
  21. Looking for a bike for S00. Just a cheap thing for her to get some experience on around the trading estate where we live. Doesn't need to be road legal, but needs to be low (as she's just a short a*se) Will consider anything that may be half reliable, no matter how old and tatty When she passes her CBT/Bike Test, we will look at getting her something nice & tidy. Cheers G
  22. Hope this helps... http://www.gillianmckeith.info/yourbody/health/stoolanalysispoochart.php Fun place Bristol
  23. Doesn't seem to have been a "what are you listening to" thread for some time ! Call me sad, but: Seem drawn to this: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=q-wGMlSuX_c Lilly Allen, love her chavy accent Saw this live (cover band) few months ago - old track - brill ! http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=fkuOAY-S6OY Rage against the Machine My daughter sings this nicer http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Vr6ajtA5Otg&feature=related Hayley Westenra, looks like an angel Just a good oldie. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=UKNaUe7Ijfg Metallica Bit diverse I know (comes with age) G
  24. Sorry Rosie, been out all day and just got in.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY
