  2. Sounds like a good time to look at swapping away from Saab, I just heard they had filled a request to be kept safe from thier creditors. Will survive the credit crunch ? Interesting looking car there ! Pleased you have seen the light Cheers G
  3. Normally I can resist the many heart felt pleadings for Red Nose Day, children with berry-berry, old ladies with sick pussies etc etc. but when I saw this one I couldn't say no My small donation will help keep him away from us for a few more hours. UPDATE: £216.00 - ALMOST A FULL DAY/NIGHT BAN Well done Michael. G
  4. Been lots about this on here... "search" is your friend As I understand it, the bit about imports being allowed to have smaller size plates is fine in theory, but doesn't get you through the MOT and I would guess wouldn't convince plod. The wording is very scetchy. We run an "import" size plate and will do until Soo gets pulled (as she will want it off straight away) but we also have what I belive is a smallish legal plate as our reg is only five digits and it's got the minimum spacing around it. See http://www.craigsplates.com Cheers G
  5. Gerry

  7. No, thats just the marks left from where he wears his evening 4" stilletoes
  8. A thick Yorkshireman read this (me) and it flew over my head until I looked at the pic ! Read it out to Soo and she was laughing outloud as soon as I said the word "grilling" Great pic...
  9. I thought a "Sloppy Joe" was something else Saying that in the States, I do love Dunkin Doughnuts and a nice chillie dog.
  10. Thought we had signed up for this ages ago Me and Soo plese Lui... Cheers Gerry
  11. Harsh... Maybe his face has just got lower At least his hair hasn't fallen through his head and has come through his chin - like mine Simon... Eggheads 2009 - Eurovision 2010
  12. Had a brilliant day there last year, recommended Met Ivan & Simon B and I'm sure there must have been others, would be good to convoy Will watch this thread... Cheers G
  13. I would never be cheeky to a fellow Yorkshireman - salt of t'earth
  14. :rlol: Loved that bit - excellent telly
  15. Please forgive young Rob, he gets a little over excited at the thoughts of typing on a thread that there is a person of the opposite sex on. Oh No------- sorry, I said the "s" work, that'll make him even worse now
  16. Welcome (again) and congratulations on your (mkivsupra.net) divorce You will have to be careful unless you never go on each other PC's. Times I've popped on to the forum, replied to a thread, and when it shows the thread it says it's from SOO This is then followed by another post (from me), explaining that the last embarrasing post was from me not SOO. Usually by then I've confused everybody inc myself G
  17. SupraStar 3000 and Gaz 1, if I made a list you would both be equal second (after Supragal) Tanhauser (mentioned a few times here) lives near me, he' a nice guy with a very nice car (although I don't see it often). Makes me feel a bit whimpy though, his arms look like my legs !
  18. Never thought of that: Ok, so what you saying - I'm unpopular and dim
  19. Well, I don't want to meet you lot either Crappy thread, I'm off to sulk in bed now
  20. Was going to use my nickname from when I was in the SAS "DonkeyDick" but thought it might frighten the ladies away. : : : : : : : : and don't laugh, we cabin crew at Scandanavian Air Services have a life of hell trying to smile, walk ,and say "tea or coffee" all at the same time
  21. If you want someing more rare try Knockando. Very smooth, goes down a treat Was also bought some Sheep Dip as a joke, but it's another smooth drinkable Scotch. Got loads of single malts going back years but into brandy and ouzo now (not together)
  22. Wise words... So I wonder if that means that AF gets a better deal than sky does from the final insurer or are just more greedy ? My AF policy is with Ensign (it was with QBE with Sky last year). I have a horrible feeling that Insurance Companies / Brokers hide behind the fact that everybodys risks are different to "fill their boots" sometimes. Tricky-Ricky Don't see why we should help them be secretive, I paid £550.00 for Sue & I. Both got clean (by one week) licences and 5 years no claims. Garaged in a village in Wiltshire, no other special risks (apart from my driving) The main thing is how do they handle claims and I know through personal history that AF have been fair with me in the past.
  23. Sorry, do you mean Sky or Adrian Flux, in your last post, you said that you had been offered it by Sky ! If you had, have you had it before with Sky ? Cheers G
  24. Thanx Ian, but as you know I accepted the Adrian Flux quote this afternoon. Agreed value policy (after haggling, £11K) and £140 cheaper than Sky. In view of the Agreed Value situation of Sky (none offered) perhaps it's time to review our recommended Club insurer ?
