  1. Do you know yet what you fancy (bike wise) ? G
  2. Gave me time to look lust over thre Astons as we crawled down the M25. (three common Aston Martins, no Supra's)
  3. Thats the one, nothing on the news yet though, suppose it happens every day "in the smoke"
  4. Updated your sales feedback Mate. G
  5. Went to collect a set of stock wheels from Maidstone today which turned out to be an eventful trip (not for me though). Was crusing down the M3 at Basingstoke when three marked police cars went speeding the other way - thought nothing of it at the time. five minutes later I spot a blue light way behind me (wasn't speding as was in a big Honda P/C. Kept an eye on them as they approached and they eventually caught up with me and it was obvious there was way more than one set of lights, cars pulled out of the fast lane behind me until a blue saloon with some kids was behind me where it took me a few secs to realise that they may be being chased, pulled over and sure enough they were gunning it... One, two three...six police cars followed all with lights great fun ! They all made off into the distance folewed by three more police cars and a helicopter. They took the M25 South and kept just ahead, but out of sight until all the traffic slowed up a few miles south on the M25. Eventually reached them where they had boxed the car into the hard shoulder with four police cars rammed around it, three of them at least damaged. Driver was sat in the road cuffed - must have gone down fighting ! Carried on the pick up the wheels (thanx Simon, all great) and came accross a very old (Historic) car (think Volvo) on fire coming back up the M25. Policd and two fire & rescue on the scene. More drama in two hours on the M25 than in the whole of Wiltshire last year I'm going to move to London Made the 5 hour trip go quicker...
  6. Bought some stocks to go on until I get my new Ultralite, collected today from Maidstone - long and eventful ride - see new thread. Cheers G
  7. Shall be there without fail (but probably not in the Supe) Soo's "booked it" to go up to Sunderland on a girly weekend. I hear they do a nice steak there as well... G Linky::: http://www.steakandbjday.co.uk/ .
  8. That's funny... I'm sure I was talking to the seller this morning ! I was trying to find out if they would fit over UK brakes, he said they would but didn't sound 100% sure.
  9. Thanks all, as it would be a temporary measure (untill my new wheel arrived) would just keep it turned off.
  10. Hi Folks, Numpty question from somebody who should know better, but- I have RLTC on an 18" wheel set-up. I'm assuming that if I change to a 17" wheel it will not alter anything on the RLTC ? Just checking Cheers G

    Scam?

Don't think many people realise this. My brother in law sold a set of Ferrari wheels on ebay, he suspected a scam, but waited until a cheque arrived and banked it. He called into the bank a few days later and was told that the "cheque had cleared". He sent the wheels, but a week or so later he got a letter from the bank saying that it had not cleared. He went back to the bank and saw the Manager who confronted the person who had told him it had cleared which she then denied ! No wheels - no money Not sure what I would do in a similar situation apart from get a letter from the bank saying that it had cleared and could not be withdrawn - if they would do that ? It must be crap if you are a genuine car buyer who lives in Nigeria
  12. Well done mate, nothing feels like going round the twisties on a bike - although it's thirty years since I did it last and i haven't tried it in a big single Supra Go careful mate, there all out to get ya Have fun, G
  13. Thanks all... But the problem is not getting a set, it's getting one, when from what I'm told, nobody stocks them, just gets them to order from Ultralite (who haven't got any in until the end of March) unless I want a set ! Thanx anyway... Cheers G
  14. Hi Folks (Traders) Due to the crappy roads around us I'm in need of a single Ultralite wheel. Ultralite Atec 11 18"x8.5" O/S 35 Gunmetal Polished Lip Code ULAT2-1885-1GML I'm told by th UK Dealers http://www.ultralitewheels.com / http://www.japshop.co.uk that I'm looking at the end of March I'm sure there won't be anyone who has stock, and even if they do, will want to sell just one, but thought it was worth a go ! Cheers Gerry
  15. Nice meet, deffo not an "Epic fail" There must be a better meeting place other than "near the skips, loading bay, Pets R Us" for futures meets though Nice to meet some new faces as well as the oldies Thanx to Jon for taking me (owing to a duff "potholed" wheel) cheers mate. Look forward to next month. Cheers G

  18. "Wheatsheaf" Didn't realise that you used this pub ! It's the same one as the "Girly Meet" has used in the past. Sue and I often drop off here on the way back from anything London way. Had a late lunch last week there and was entertained for 20 minutes watching some guys ferreting in the field at the edge of the car-park. In 20 mins they found four, caught one and missed three that all ran down a hole in the pub car park - very funy to watch Nice pub - used to advertise "Open Eight Days a Week" ! See you at the meet...

  20. How did it do when it was warm Jon ? Any better ? G
  21. Thanx for the link, but I've done this before, including risking death by kneeling in the road with a ruler being photographed and all i got for my time was a curt letter back from the councils solicitor saying basically "tough" That time is really wrecked a wheel on my daughters car and hurt her wrist badly as the steering wheel wrenched round on impact. What can't help is the massive tanks (Army) that plod around Warminster, I followed (slowly) a convoy yesterday that were knocking lumps out of the kerb as they went.
  22. It's so bad I would fear it may deflate instantly if I hit another pot hole or cornered fast, not worth the risk Suppose modern low profile tyres don't really help.
  23. Just cleaned the car (yes I know, out at 7.30am car cleaning so my wifey can take it out clean) what a moron I am and discovered a massive dent in a front Ultalight rim, can't belive the tyre is still inflated ! Then I remembered coming home from training late Tuesday night I hit a HUGE pothole at speed The roads round here are even more crap than usual following the recent frosts. Suppose we've made a fair bit of money since Xmas repairing peoples machines that had frost damage, so what goes around, comes around Lovely day for a blast as well Will be giving Ibrar a call on Monday...
  24. I did warn you The fun starts when we all see a post from him saying that he thinks Vin Diesel is really hot and one from you worried that your beards going grey
