Know what you mean, on the other hand it may be safer than tucked away on it's own in a backstreet. Plus, I try not to be to paranoid, otherwise I'de never park it anywere (and never get to drive it). Plus, plus, at the end of the day I remember it's a 13 yo Toyota, not a 100K Aston Martin. Seems a sensible quote. As I get older, it seems to me that many situations like this fall into a "grey" area. On first sight they can look like a "black & white" case, but when all the facts are known sometimes it's not as easy as that. Reminds me of a brilliant TV advert for a newspaper, which showed a youth running down the street trying to catch a granny with a handbag (obviously going to mug her) then the overview of a bit of building falling down and him running to push her out of the way ! G

I'm not really a "police lover" (although there is a really cute blonde female one in Warminster) but I just wonder if the vids all it seems to be ? The guy had his hands in his pockets and was walking away from the line of cops - but, was he being a smart arse and walked out slowly in front of a line of cops who were walking quickly ? If so, I think they did the right thing in getting rid of him obstucting them as quickly as pos. They can't stop and ask people who walk in front of a line of cops to "move aside pretty please". If I was him, I think I would have: a, found another route. b, waited until they had passed to walk on. c, walked faster ! I think generally our cops take a to soft approach with some rioting scumbags (not counting the two who told me I would be arrested if I set foot in Hyde Park a few years ago during a demo). If the guy was being a smartarse, I hope the press / politicans don't take it out on the cop. If he wasn't, the cop should get a mild ticking off. G
