  1. I had two MKIVs both auto and loved them. Recently I bought a Nissan 370z and love the look, drives well and not slow, but I can't get used the the auto box! At the moment it will be up for sale in the Spring and I'll be on the look out for a manual of some sort (370Z, Scooby / EvoX) sadly can't aford another Supra PS... hello anybody who remembers me from ten years ago
  2. Thanks for letting us know Chris (can't remember how long it is since you fettled my supra, must be a decade)! Many of us were sporting Robs "horny Toyota" logos, back in the day. Sad news.....
  3. February 2006, truly the good ole days :-)

    Sold up :-(

Lovely bikes :-) Check out http://www.wiltshirebikers.co.uk . A great bunch of people and regular meets & rides, some starting from the Blade Trade Centre Swindon. Or on facebook befriend mikkie mahon who runs the used sales at the Blade Group. We have a fair number of members in and around Swindon. Ever thought about taking the Fireblade on track ? - fun, fun, fun G

    Sold up :-(

Jurgen imported my last Supra in Feb 2007 and I set about upgrading it to exactly how I wanted it, it was Gunmetal grey, very few miles and had a genuine Veilside front & sides on - beautiful ! An altercation with a suicidal badger (and an even worse one with Knightracer afterwards) it was fitted with a Bomex and was “Moonstone” grey - yes, I’ve still not forgiven them ! RLTC and BPU followed and some fancy bling inside, we loved it and did trips to Scotland, Wales and France, both with the club and with great club mates in small groups. Happy days ! Things changed about three years ago when Sue moved out and I got into bikes bigtime, and it’s done hardly any miles since then. I knew I ought to sell it, but it took me two years to bite the bullet and ask Jurgen if he could move it on for me. It went off to France a week or so ago - many thanks Jurgen. It was the sensible thing to do, but it was very hard, truly the end of an era. Anyway, onwards & upwards and another track-day tomorrow at Castle Combe, the second on my latest track bike a GSXR750 (hope better than last weekend where I crashed at Llandow Circuit) ! I’ll keep an eye on the site, and you never know, if I see a nice black manual TT I might be tempted again sometime. Thanks to the people who started and run the Forum (especially Mawby & Tigger) and thanks to all who made our “Supra Years” so brilliant. Cheers Gerry (formally Gatso) Couple of pics: Suzuki GXSR 750 K5 - latest track bike Yamaha R6 - latest road bike Supra - Sue at SupraPod
  6. Looking great !!! It's amazing what Paul can do with an old steering wheel and a bit of polish ;-) Enjoy... G
  7. Really pleased you guys (and gals) got at least some dry runs yesterday. It's the first SupraPod I've missed :-( Well done all who went and had fun. G
  8. Dear "Confused of Surrey" OMG… That’s a total coincidence, I’m called Gerry and I didn’t meet you in your silver Supra either ! Where will this end… :-) Regards Gail - sorry, Gerry
  9. Nice to meet you briefly - great looking car, I do like them in white :-) Gerry
  10. £52.50 to a non member up North. Will stick a mkivsupra.net card in the box. Will pay for some new frame sliders for the tracker :-) Cheers all Gerry
  11. OK Folks… This is the day somebody is going to be made more happy than if they won the lottery or Jordan popped round for a coffee and to show them her new thong ! In 6 hours 17 minutes, the bidding will end on this historic auction and there will be a proud new member of the prestigious “CJ’s Repair Manual Club” ! At 16.22 (that’s twenty past four to you and I) you to have the chance to own the very item in the picture, all 13 kilos of it. I’ve already been offered large sums of money to take it off Ebay, the swap for a Mazda MX5 and the use of a members daughter for the weekend, but no need to worry chaps, I held firm and didn’t break ! Gerry :-) PS.. Remember the mkivsupra.net discount of five of your English pounds in the box !
  12. Thank you for my free bump ! What I suggest you do is to immediately put a £100.00 maximum bid on and hope you will be the lucky one :-) Although... I do expect to buy my new track bike with the proceeds !!! G :-)
  13. Great "memories" from that holiday CJ ! Another drink there would be brilliant mate :-) Cheers G
  14. Oh ye of little years and experience. CJ first came to my attention on 1932 when in a convoy of MKIV’s going from London to Castle Combe. I was there basking in the glory of my first Gunmetal Supra, thinking I was the top dog and everybody was looking at me when I started noticing that in fact nobody was looking at me and everybody’s eyes were fixed on a car a few vehicles back - CJ ! A few minutes later I was almost blinded by the brightest orange Supra I’d ever seen flash by me. It was simply awesome and in the sun light I’m sure you could have seen it from the International Space Station in orbit. Colin owned it for a few years before he sold it to it’s new owner, although I did feel sorry for the new owner as everybody always called it CJ’s car. Colin then decided that he fancied a change from the hustle and bustle of UK life and did what many of us dream about (but don’t have the balls to do) drove to the Greek Islands and settled out there earning a living in the evenings as a great host in the tavernas and lazing on the beach watching the bronzed beauties in the daytime sun - what a man ! Somewhere in between he managed to get a printing done of this repair manual / parts book which impressed everybody with just it’s weight alone ! He’s back in the UK at the mo getting some hospital treatment, but if you get a chance to say hello to him at a meet, do - he’s a great chap, even though he’s Welsh ! ------- Scott, to be really honest with you I'm not sure if they are in order or not, they just came like this in the box they are still in (in ring binder form). The only time I needed them was to search for a ball joint and found it in the right book :-) Computers are great, but you can't use them to stand on to reach stuff at the top of the wardrobe lol G
  15. Those old timers like me may remember the shock when the postman delivered this big box that we thought was a new battery, but in fact turned out to be a copy of CJ's Famous Repair Book (you think I'm kidding - I'm not) Mine is now offered for sale here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110838126181 If it's sold to a current mkivsupra.net member I'll give you a 20% discount from the minimum price in the way of a crisp £5.00 note inside the box ! I've only ever used it once, but seemed to derive some sort of strange pleasure in it's ownership, I’m hoping it will go to a new, young, enthusiastic member like wot I was when I got my first Supra (before I discovered big bikes) Cheers Gerry
  16. Havard - no price for mine mentioned yet :-) and I don't have to justify it, it's worth exactly the same amount of money that a buyer is willing to pay for it. To you, maybe not a lot, to others more ! Dunk, "as much as I can get for it" :-) But seriously, I'm not sure, I've put feelers out on Supraforums and judging by the excited but tentative PM's I've had, I recon over there $1500 - $2000 (£950 - £1500) I've been told that there are only two brand new ones left in the world (I take that with a pinch of salt, but you know how excitable Americans can be ) lol I'm waiting for a firm offer from the US and will then put a For Sale ad up to se if anybody wants to come close. Ebay would get me the highest price I'm sure, but I'm not sure I want the hassle with the tossers & scammers you get on there. Cheers G
  17. Can't see why retarded, if they are in no hurry to sell it, with the millions of people who look at Ebay he might get it ! I bought a bike from a company accountant of a company in Pall Mall SW1 who's company has a turnover of 1.2 billion PA. 5K is a lot to you and me, but not for everybody :-) G
  18. Thank you for your concern over my face, but it is far to late to wory about such a thing :-) The one in the Ebay ad and mine does have an airbag :-) I think it's the only after market whel that does !!! Cheers G
  19. If anybody fancies a brand new still boxed one, I have one under my bed lol - really. It came in from Nick and I belive was the last one brought over, I just didn't get round to fitting it ! Have popped a "what's it worth" thread on Supraforums (can't sell on there either). Exactly the same as this in every way: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRAND-NEW-JDM-93-99-Supra-JZA80-TRD-SRS-Steering-Wheel-/390386065068?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5ae4d29eac Only people with more money than sense (or jwho ust want the best steering wheel money can buy) need apply :-) Gerry
  20. Viper, I'm not sure what they are advertised for and what they "go for" are the same. It may be just a couple of companies that are having a punt and are happy to leave them on at this price until sooner or later somebody buys. Saying that, there are so few new ones out there it's difficult to judge. G
  21. Ahh, but yours is old and used and jammy and sneezed on and mine is tucked up in the warm and pampered by virgins who lightly dust it every six months with fairy dust on the plucked tail feather of a rare African bird of paradise :-) Anyway, I'm sure I won't get 3K for it, but as you say there might be a guy out there somewhere in the world who wants "the best a man can get" or a speculator who will give me a grand for it and re-sell it for two ! G
  22. Hi Scott, I think it means "rare" as in "rare to find a brand new one" which it is. I've been looking on and off for another fo sale for months and only this company (the Ebay one) seems to have a new one).
  23. As the title: Brand New Boxed TRD Steering Wheel. Identical to this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRAND-NEW-JDM-93-99-Supra-JZA80-TRD-SRS-Steering-Wheel-/350510169494?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D4%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D4570584361871698970 Can't decide to sell it now or keep until it's the only one left in the world (can't be many left at the mo) :-) The reason they are so sought after is the it's the only after market wheel with a built in airbag (saying that, 3K is a little on the high side I feel) and so damn cool looking too :-) Stopped being manufactured I think about 3 years ago. It's a funny thing to value, I may pop it up on Supraforums as they seem to go for huge money there but thought I'd see what you folks thought ! Cheers Gerry
  24. Ohh - what have you got Sarah ? Hows BPU ??? Gerry :-)
  25. Sorry James, Another no show for me :-( Got a long weekend in Wales with the bike club (on my new bike too) :-) Have a good one mate. Cheers Gerry
