  1. I feel sorry for the people who hit them. I imagine for some that could cause psychological problems.

    Oil change

When is the best time to change the oil, just before or just after a track day?
  4. No all went fine. I left the panels to soak for a while rubbed off the rubber and used a bit of wet and dry to rough them up a bit.
  5. I used neat bleach and a rough cloth did'nt take too long in the end.
  6. Not yet fella is it the one in the thread if so I'll sort it tonight.
  7. Very tempted to sell the magane and use the cash for the swap at the moment. We'll see after the bodywork has been done. We going to convoy down to llandow fella?
  8. I always thought my interior let the car down, so over the past couple of weeks I stripped it out and set to work. I found all the annoying rattles, dyed the carpet and sprayed the dash. I can't recommend doing this enough as it makes a huge difference. After not driving her for a month I fired her up and went for a spin. I am now back in love with her and may start looking after her a bit more. I also took the seats to be valeted which they did with a jetwash , assuring me that all would be fine. After a few days in the sun they have come up like new and once back in the motors all worked fine... Thank god
  9. There will always be people who can make them but it is being caught with them on your car where they seem to be clamping down. I also heard about the chip incorporated into your number plate in the future I for one do not like the sound of that.
  10. I was told by the guy who makes mine that if you are caught with non standard number plates they would treat it as having no MOT, as it would'nt have passed with them in that way. Sounds a bit harsh and unlikely to me but you never know. I used to have an extra space on mine but have changerd to 100% legal, not worth the hassle if they clamp down on it
  11. Its not done it since fella but every time I fill up or stop for a moment I'm paranoid that it wont start again for ten minutes or so. Still tempted to sell it or trade it in.
  12. How much do they charge for the frames fella?
  13. Decided to get my dash resprayed so removed the carbon look dash kit and its up for grabs. It is still quite sticky on the back but I would think it would need sticking on to the dash panels somehow. It has no marks/scratches etc, the only thing is I had to cut a hole for my aftermarket fog light switch (see pic) which could be covered with something or other. The kit is for a manual but looking at the gear surround could possibly be used on an auto. I paid £80 for the kit so am looking for £20+p&p.

    Wet footwell

Changed coolant a little while ago with red forlife definately not that mate, this is nice and clear. The windscreen is original but is coming out soon when it goes to the bodyshop so hopefully will be put back in nicely sealed. Think I'll get someone small in the footwell with a torch tomorrow while I hose away outside.

    Wet footwell

Definately from behind the dash somewhere mate, worst thing is I've jarred my neck so cannot get right under ther without a fair amount of pain. Oh well better get the other half under there:)

    Wet footwell

Definately not coolant, thank god, did a matrix on a clio a while back took all weekend:). I did hose the windscreen and a pillar for a fair amount of time and it produced the amount in the piccy so not a massive amount coming in but I still want it dry. I wonder if it is coming through the yellow cone shaped grommet as I seem to remember Gap security cutting a huge hole in it for the alarmwiring. I'll check in the morning.
  17. Cheers guys, don't worry I won't be selling it on here:d

    Wet footwell

Cheers matey we'll have to catch up soon. Has she gone yet?

    Wet footwell

Well, the seats carpet and dash panels are all out ready for the makeover, but while removing the carpet I noticed it was a little damp. I hosed over the outside today to see if I could see if any water was coming in but all I could see was the wet patch (pic) not where it was coming in. Anyone know where the likely place is that the water is coming in?
  20. Does a non aerotop carpet fit an aerotop out of interest guys
