Just rechecked the oil level and it is slightly above the F mark on the dipstick could my probs be down to too much oil I was pretty careful when filling though?

I changed the air filter after all of this so that was fine I thought that any water left would have evaporated when I took it for the first run but I am no expert so correct me if I'm wrong.

Changed the oil at the weekend and spilt some so while I was cleaning it off I decided to gently spray the rest of the engine with a very fine hose to clean it up. I took it out after this and it ran fine for a blat up the motorway, but the next day it started fine then began to misfire which got worse until it cut out. It started a couple of hours later and also tonight for a few minutes then it did the same and it wont start again. Also there is white smoke coming from the exhaust pipe so I assume there is water somewhere. What do I do now any help appreciated. p.s. my inner voice was telling me not to try and clean it perhaps I'll listen in future

Matt H Just went out to the car clifford led is working again as to was the key fob when i tried to disarm it. It also started fine so would this still be something to do with the battery or alarm fault. I am not far from sextons if it is not the battery so I may get it checked out there.

Thanks for the replys fellas. Other lights on the dash work when I turn the ignition on as to does the radio is this because they dont need much battery power? I will try and jump start it before calling somebody out I think, but does anybody know a reputable company in north kent who come out and check if it is an alarm problem? Thanks again Dave

Just heard my alarm going off tried to disarm it and nothing happened also noticed the indicators were not flashing which they normally do. It carried on for about 3-4 minutes then stopped now I cannot start the car and the red led on the dash is not coming on either ( clifford led that is ) Very nearly kicked the car at one point but the calm part of me told me it would not make it better... Any ideas welcome its a concept 300 with intellistart. Thanks Dave

I removed three from the back of the tank one small one medium and one large these all go to the filler. then two small ones that come from the pump the feed and return I take it. There is also another pipe that goes from the filler towards the engine but this is still connected. I am wondering whether one of the three pipes from the filler to the tank is a breather (That may be blocked) that lets air in as the fuel is used. Please correct me if I.m wrong

My girlfriend has a 1200 corsa and it had a leak from the back of the fuel tank. I removed the tank at the weekend to find that it has caved inwards which I presume caused the split and the fuel leak. I have ordered the new tank but can anybody suggest why it has done this. My first thought is that a breather pipe is blocked as it is a sealed fuel system would this be one of the pipes going up to the filler neck and is there a valve up there that draws air in as petrol goes to the engine (possible blockage). Or could it be a problem with the vapour release valve and charcoal canister at the front of the car. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I dont want to remove bits that would have nothing to do with the problem. Dave

Got a nice new set of uk headlights from toyota today (they even gave a 10% discount ) I did a search and it seems I need two 9005 s and two 9006 s for the dipped and main beam, but what about the fog and side light bulbs. Can I use the ones from my j spec lights. And will I need to do any wiring modifications? Cheers Dave

I suppose if its only going to cost a tenner its not worth getting a back ache an grazed knuckles. I popped into a kwik fit near me a few wekks ago and they said they wont fit aftermarket exhausts (lazy bxxxrds )
