Cheers mate, had a mate with relationship problems with me at the weekend we were supposed to be going to see an MR2 in the morning but now looks like a divorce may be on the cards for him instead. Still what are mates for Will catch up with you at the next though fella, hope they looked after you ok.

Just got back mate and after a good 15 years away it felt like I'd never stopped. The blackwater seems to be very stable and turns really well, it was a toss up between that and the perception acadia which is slightly longer. I'm finishing early again tomorrow so I can head out for a longer spell to put it through its paces:)

Sounds good to me fella, I opted for the dagger blackwater in the end as I wanted something that was fairly manouveable and relatively fast. Cheers for the link now I'm off for the first go:D

Very nice too I'll be heading up to the lakes at some point but maybe not until next year now unless I get some warm clothing or it or maybe a dry suit.

Not been canoeing/kayaking for a fair while but have decided to get back into it, luckily enough Kent canoes is just around the corner from me and after a few visits I have narrowed the choice down to two models. I am hoping to purchase it tomorrow and will be heading out on the river medway straight away. The guy in the shop said that I need some kind of license that costs 30 pounds a year does anyone know what this entitles me to do. If you guys have any nice spots for me to paddle in the south I'd be very grateful too.

Just for anyone who cares, it turned out to be the universal joint that attatches the steering rack to the column. A common problem with older fords apparently, mind you took the whole rack out before I discovered it.. Still all fixed and back on the road.

Got to have a look underneath but my trolley jack has given up as well. Should be able to get one tomorrow. I used the car today it was even worse so I'm just gonna have to supe it to work for a while:D

My runabout is playing up. The steering seems to stiffen up then suddenly go back to normal. This usually happens when travelling straight for a few seconds you go to make a slight turn and its stiff then all of a sudden unsticks. Any ideas before I get under and check it out at the weekend? ps its not power steering Cheers Dave
