  1. just to report I have extended the 12V side of the charger and the oxford optimizer comes with the battery install kit which basically a male and female plug with a dust cap. I leave it on 24/7 now and it says maintain and battery holding charge strong. I bought the battery from Halford and this time I am keeping the receipt for sure. Last battery went flat on the night we first got frost this year, after charging it overnight it doesn't hold full charge and the charger show battery weak at holding full charge.

  3. lol @ Nic, I can imagine myself lay on the table and jump up when the kids get close lol
  4. I don't blame the school organizing the trip, I blame the parents of the kids. The kids reaction is due to not knowing where the meat the eat everyday come from and how it was obtained. Secondly, Parents should know what their kids are learning everyday, doesn't any parent ask their kids whats their plan at school the next day or the week anymore? If my kid tells me she is going to visit the slaughter house tomorrow I would make sure she knows what she is getting into and may stop her going in the first place if I know she is not prepared for what she will see.
  5. Hi, looking to treat myself with a computer upgrade, does anyone have the 3d vision glasses with a 120hz monitor? I used to play a lot of games and since I had a baby girl I really cut down on the hours I spend infront of the computer. Instead of playing long hours I am thinking of playing faster pace game and enjoy some 3d experience. Anyone have some user feedback as advice for me?
  6. Something got to change, not only the policy but peoples thinking. One of my staff ask me today if he could go part time, I ask him why and he said if I go 20 hours I can get housing benefit. I mean WTF? shouldn't he say increas my hours because I could stand on my own 2 feet rather then using my tax money? Benefit should be a life line and a limited period not taken for granted.
  7. I got a Oxford maxmizer charger, it comes with battery clamps and also a set of fixed terminal with inline fuse. I bought some Red and Black 16 gauge wire to extend the 12V side, the fixed terminal have a splash proof plug which is handy
  8. I got one of those small solar panel thingy, didn't work. Not it is on charge 24/7 with a trickle charger with maintain option
  9. Toyota is very clever and built in a fault error code system. I used it once and it help me to find the fault, it involves a paper clip and reading flash light at dash. Someone more experience can help you out for sure on here. Not everyone is nasty Welcome to the forum
  10. You have enough stuff to do a working bundle how much for PSU, MB, RAM, HD, Gfx as group? it have to be all compatable of course
  11. I think I will keep the charger indoor and extend the 12V lead to cover the outdoor, all together 4-5m max. I bought some molex connector and inline fuse, should be here Wed this week. I want it to be neat and easy to use e.g. plug and play and I don't want it to rust or short circuit should be fun
  12. OMG, I am not going to let my 11 month do that may be next year in the garden
  13. American or not it is an imported idea? wow, posting in a pumpkin picture without any input. Back on what topic ? Your view on what is fun? That should be another thread.

  15. spend 130 pounds on a new siren today and now all working. I have a Oxford Otpimizer charger, now I need a way to extend the charging wire from the charger to the car. Can anyone recommand a outdoor connector which will less likely to rust? I am thinking of making a connection to the battery with a connector which I can plug and unplug from the under the car.
  16. lol, a bit more than that. It detect the voltage, if it drops below a set level it will start the car to charge the battery. It is part of the remote start function, for me its like a boys toy more than anything.
  17. I do have a optimize battery trickle charger and that works well. I need to make a charging station e.g. something plug and play style so the charger sit indoor and a connector somewhere accessable under the car..... My clifford siren is damaged by water and going to be replaced, I asked for the auto start option which can start the car up when the battery is low and got a quote of 249 fitted :0 not going for that. The battery kill switch is a turn key at the battery terminal, works a treat but once my alarm is fixed I am going to have the car on an always charging option, I don't want the battery in the siren getting ruined by not running the alarm permanently.
  18. Many thanks kjgreen3 so my head unit caused the drain from 20mA to 50mA, I think I will take the Head unit out and disconnect the permenant live since I don't listen to the set radio station anyway. I have a battery kill switch installed already and I have been using that to keep the battery alive and it works. My worries is that by using the kill switch at my battery terminal it will cut supply to the clifford alarm and eventually the siren back up battery will be ruined because of the drain?
  19. My other car Honday Jazz can stand for 4-5 weeks and still start first time. may be I am asking for too much from my 16 years old car. If my muti meter is set at 10A and the reading is 0.02 what is it in mA ? is that acceptable battery drain?
  20. I connected up my mutimeter in series with the car battery. I remove the fuse one by one from under the bonnet. Orginal reading 0.05 with a 10A setting By the time I remove the 20A fuse which the inside cover say HEAD and some japanese writing the reading drop to 0.02 Non of the other fuse make any difference except that HEAD fuse. I think that fuse provides power to my Head unit and keep the battery or radio settings? My head unit have a face that can be removed and once the fuse is out the red led stop flashing. My question is that is 0.05 to 0.02 a big drop? is that why my car won't start after 3 weeks of idle? Many thanks in advance
  21. where is the BSOD demo on the phone 7 ?
