  1. Had my uk spec 94 tt for about 8 months now
  2. Thanks guys, all good input I already have a Blitz boost guage, but have yet to get a turbo timer so have had the pleasure of having to sit in the car and wait for the turbos to cool down So that is next on the last as i see on ebay i can get one for about £30 Im going to Evolution in the new year and im going to get them to design me a custom exhaust pipe of at least 3" all the way through and im gonna get them to incorporate a sports cat to replace the two stock ones. This is only because i know someone who got pulled on a roadside test and he got a hefty fine for not having any cats But i need further advice on boost controllers and fcd's. What is out there and what do you people use? Cheers
  3. Hi peeps, im off to santapod in January and the gaunlet has been thrown down to me by a very cheeky accord type r owner Now im sure my uk spec 326bhp Supra shouldnt have much problem destroying a 209bhp family 4 banger - but i want to destroy him royally :flame Dev I've taken the Supra to the pod before so understand how important getting off the line is for these cars (once they are moving and at full boost its pretty easy going) thus i want to improve the reponsiveness. Decatting and a performance zorst with a boost controller/fcd seem the best way to start but im limited on funds at the moment. So im thinking just a double decat and a manual boost valve. Is this the best way to start? How much power am i loosing by keeping the standard zorst? Can i run as much as 1.2bar on the standard zorst if i add in an fcd? Thanks in advance
  4. Yo dude, how are ya? Im cool, a little more relaxed now Gutted for ya mate, end of the day could have been a lot worse:thumbs: Anyway hope you get her back to normal asap, and thanks for the drive. I was enjoying it mostly haha
  5. New subframe is almost £800 alone Oh well, nothing that a bit of WD40 and a very long handled bolt breaker wont fix this weekend
  6. Dont get me wrong i hate dealers, especially Toyota ones. I just wanted a local place with the facilities to check the camber.
  7. Here are pictures of the two camber bolts:) Bolt 1 Bolt 2
  8. Been to yota today to get my camber geo checked on the supra and they couldnt free the camber bolts on the left hand rear wheel. Said that they will most likely have to cut them if i book it back in to get them free'd. Ok so i though to myself im looking at the cost of two camber bolts. Then they said they would actually cut the arms to get it out and that in the process they may even have to replace the frickin subframe They presented me with a quote for the MOST that the job would cost and its was... wait for it.... £2721.71!! (£1035.00 is labour alone) After i regained conciousness i ordered the camber bolts and nuts and set off with the intention of trying to remove the old bolts myself using a dremmel. Surely if you need to remove the bolts you just need to cut the bolts not half the car....

    Dash Bulbs

Ok so i did all the bulbs today and i dont know what you guys are on about as it was a peice of cake Once you get the dials out of the car and onto the desk you simply remove the clear plastic front, the black dial rings bit, un-do the 3 screws at the rear of the rev counter and disconnect the the flexible data cable from underneath and the bulbs are simple to change Took some pictures and will scan them in an post them once i get them back from boots:D
  10. Cool stuff people, thanks for all the advice. Im a firm believer in the quality of Blitz products so i'll go for the Nur Spec R, just need to decide now whether to get the Blitz 2nd cat replacement pipe and a 1st cat replacement pip of another make or get the two envy decat pipes:blink: Looking forward to hearing both systems at the next Reading meet
  11. Cool, whats the best (and cheapest) way of ditching the cats? Is there one big pipe i can buy to do both or is it going to have to be two decat pipes? Do you have to put the cats back in for your MOT? BTW i see your a Reading'er too, how come i havent seen you around? Im usually the only UK Spec Supra that turns up to the local meets
  12. Hi peep's Just need to ask two quick questions. What is rated as being the best (road legal) off-the shelf exhaust system for the mk4tt? I know the HKS Super Dragger is slightly bigger than the Blitz Nur-Spec R - but i hear that the Blitz system is straighter and this makes it a much better system. Also whats the deal with decats? I used to have a decat on my ST205 so i know the gains (and the illegality;) ) but cuz the Supra has 2 cats can i remove just one and get it through the MOT still? Or should i just bite down and ditch both? Cheers
  13. Thats cool dude, i thought that was going to be the answer
  14. Does anyone know of a uprated manifold for the standard CT12's? Im getting my exhaust system upgraded and would like to get a bigger manifold to mate up to my new exhaust. Does such a thing exist or do they only bother making ones for the bigger aftermarket turbos? thanks
  15. Really? I was thinking of getting my turbos rebuilt by fensport to stage 3 which they say then will run 28psi boost. Surely with this much boost you must be getting close to 500bhp?
  16. Think i may have figured it out, my front discs are on their last legs and braking hard from speed causes a judder. Me and a friend now think its a sign that i should get me new TRD vented discs now rather than wait until the new year.

    Dash Bulbs

Thanks peeps, thought it was bulbs
  20. For a while now i've had a strange knocking sound from the drivers side front wheel. Happens when coming to a stop you get a knocking sound as though something on your brake snaps just a moment before or after you come to a full stop.....weird Also on full lock to the right (may also do it on the left but havent noticed) the steering kinda judders. And i have just fitted new tyres, since doing this it sounds like the rubber on the tyres is being roller off the wheel as you hear a kinda rubber twanging sound I've had the shocks changed and it still does both. Could it be my discs or calipers? I was going to change the standard discs/pads for TRD lovelies anyway so i hope its those Any ideas would be much appreciated
  21. Now this may sound stupid but on an auto does the d (drive) letter light up on the rev counter like the other gears do? I just noticed my D doesnt light up which is most likely the bulb but i thought i'd just make sure as i cant remember for sure if it does light up. Also on the centre column you have the two rows of buttons above the radio for the heater etc. My lower row lights up but are the top ones supposed to because mine dont. Possibly a new bulb there too?
  22. Everyone is going to meet at the new Henley meet the next day instead. See the thread in this section:zzz:
  23. TOC meet happening this wednesday @ Tescos - Henley On Thames - 7:30 onwards . People from lots of other clubs joining us for this, should be good. further details email me at [email protected]
  24. Not that i can remember, it seems that when coming up to a full stop at traffic lights for example it will make a sudden clanking sound as though one of the pots on the brakes got stuck and moved finally. I'll mention the intercoolers to the garage when it goes in and see what they think, also i'll get them to check everything over in general.
  25. Funnilly enough i got a weird clonking noise from the drivers front caliper on braking sometimes so it could well be that the calipers need a refurb. I'll make sure i get all these things checked on the service. Cheers dude:D
