  2. 51%, but its definately bumped up by knowing cars (and buying jewelry for the g/friend)
  3. cheers chris, does the stock fuel system have a fpr? would it need replacing? i havent played with the fuel system so i dont know what im looking at or for? going to change the filter asap as im sure it overdue. rob
  4. Done as much as i can think of for 'easy' upgrades; http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=55, question now is; is the next step to install e-manage or similar, and upgrade the fuel system inc injectors??? Also what are the steps in upgrading the fuel system, i've read about FPR's, is there a concensus on which is most liked? And is it better to have a garage do it or is it a DIY able job? cheers Rob
  5. cheers, and thanks for putting up with the endless q's Rob
  6. i really dont know anything about the wastegate system but is it not the pressure or lack of it that is stopping the wastegate working, and so therefore is it not the actuator end, connected to the vacuum system, that needs to be 'upgraded' to take more or less pressure to work. rob
  7. was just thinking if i've got to change a broken wastegate might as well get the uk one if feasible
  8. both cats out, restrictor ring in. the restrictor ring was 'working' to keep it down to about 1bar. however since putting a proper 3" at the front rather than the 2" at the turbo end for about 3 inches before going into 3@ pipe for the rest of the system. thing is how can i tell if the wastegate has had it? is it possible to 'upgrade' the jspec wastegate to a uk spec one?
  9. for some reason the no. 1 turbo is boosting at 0.8, which if i remeber correctly from reading posts before is max. this is having a double effect on the boost cause when no 2 comes in it hits 1.3 with the controller set to OFF. with the effects of the controller when on the boost hits 1.5 then the FCD cuts the fuel. i've had a few probs of late with air getting into the vacuum system, broken condenser, broken Turbo Pressure Sensor and a gasket wasn't on right and was letting air in. Now having thought i'd got all the probs the cars doing this to me, please help Rob S
  10. Downloaded some of the OC Season 3, download format is 128kbps but on an avi program hdtv and home cinema are 3000kbps and 1700kbps respectively. so i thought that higher is better and started converting the download, however on the comp the higher kbps looks worse. help much appreciated Rob S

  16. i've had this happen to me, in the end i went to toyota and they sold me the studs individually and the nuts in batchs of 4. Codes are on here under the part numbers thread.

  20. not the MR T on here, tried already.
  21. thing was only a tester, thing is we are currently running our system in Access, and the computer guy at work, who developed the database, knows VB well but never went into C++. the system is already up and running and has been for a couple of years. each product has space for bar codes but weve never used em. Recently we decided to try and sort it out so we bought a cheap scanner, this symbol to see how it would work. looked about and found a loads of development software and bits so downloaded them and tried out a few bits of free software. hence the above. a bit of background, firm is food wholesaler, over 5000 product lines. we place orders through forms that we print out as Purchase Order Reports, simple to export as excel sheets. We were thinking along the lines of; downloading po's onto pda, when people deliver, click supplier then scan barcode - show products details we double check then enter amount , done!! then upload onto computer, double check enty versus delivery note and confirm. then have an additon screen for creating new po's cheers for the input Rob S
  22. got pics of the area u need in this thread, http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=34733 where the big black box is is where the bleed valve goes, when i got a controller i stupidly thought it went in the same place as the valve i had; have since learned plenty about those bloody vacuum pipes and the probs they cause. hope it helps, Rob S ps that pic is right under the alternator on a soop.
  23. Symbol SPT 1550 Firm is running Desktops on XP Pro Servers on 2003, i think - the new NT
  24. i could really do with some help from some forum computer people. Scenario; Firm recently bought a PDA with scanner. Idea to scan goods into the warehouse, make life easier!! Problem is the software i've found isn't quite what we need and the only way to use the scanner is to "make" the program. Problem is the software developer kit, got from the pda website, is all in C++. I know it is a very powerful and basic programmer code but thats it. i know bits about Visual Basic but C++ is way out of my league. is there a way of changing visual basic code to C++ and vice versa. or is there a scanner 'package' in visual basic that i can adapt. Cheers Rob S
