No has an SZ model the same as me which is why i was confused that i had more bits than him and my car is older than his, I have waited for 2 years to get my hands on one of these cars but because im only 22 i thought that the insurance would have said no, but to my delight they said they would insure one for me so i searched for a manual import and manged to find one after a few weeks

Well after weeks of searching i finally found the car for me, its silver, 93 L reg with 48K miles. Im well impressed with the motor and was smitten with them ever since my dad bought his back 2 years ago. I am slightly confused though and was wondering if any body could shed some light on my dilema. My dad had a 1995 M Reg Supra (import) it came completly standard i believe. I have a 1993 L Reg which has gold badges front and rear which my dad didnt have and also i have cruise control and passanger airbag as well as some rather un attractive wood finish dashboard surround with chrome bezels around the dials. When i asked the guy i was buying the car from he said that it was who he bought it and believed it was standard. Is there any reason the car would have gold badges and how come i have cruise control and passanger air bag when my car is older than my dads surely it should have been the other wya around???? I will have to take some pics of the car when i get chance

i have had a quote from adrian flux and the policy is ready for £1400 full comp as i have 4 years ncb and been driving for 5 years it was the reliability that i was really concerned about, the car wont be highly modded - probably a veilside kit, an exhaust and filter and then just a tv and dvd player I expect that i will keep the engine pretty standard cos of the insurance. Are the gear boxes and clutches pretty strong as i have heard terrible stories from people with GTO's and 300Zx's about the unreliability of them andthe cost of the parts and to do the work. thanks the replies as well

hi guys im looking for some advice please im looking to buy a supra over the next few days, and i got some questions that i hope some one can give me some help im only 22 so i know that insurance on an import is gonna be about the £1400 full comp how reliable would the non turbo import be? my dad had an m plate 2 years ago and it seemed really reliable but people come saying things about them and i dont no who to believe. im looking to pay about 6k for a manual L reg with about 50k miles is this the average sort of price?? thanks in advance
