  1. When I had a decat and exhaust fitted to mine by Paul at Whifbitz, we had a similar sounding problem that took a while to track down. It turned out to be a faulty FCD, so it may be worth (assuming you have one fitted) checking your FCD. Mine was actually faulty, but bad fitting / soldering could also be a cause.
  2. Hi Russ, Just to add my bit (this was my old car)... The R2D2 was taken off by Thor as they were tracing a detonation problem and went back to basics. The problem was a fault FCD in the end. The R2D2 made no difference to power, so it wasn't put back on. When it was on the car, there wasn't any stalling issues or other problems that I could say of. It was purely left off as all it gave the car was a (rather large) noise. Foodfreak once described a stock motor with an R2D2 as sounding like a "mouse farting". On BPU, it is more like an elephant! Anyway Russ, I hope you are still enjoying the car as much as I did, it was a pleasure selling her to another enthusiast. Take care and post up some pics in your garage! nigel
  3. Got to agree, truly an awesome colour on the Supe. Looks gunmetal on a dark day or at night, but on a sunny day the speckle in the paint is just awesome. Tom Draper took these pics of my old Quicksilver on a truly awful day
  4. If you don't need to rush, then don't feel pressured into dropping the price. I think it is way under priced for a late year VVTi, but like someone said, you need a buyer who understands the difference between a late facelift VVTi and an early J spec. Main problem is that there are plenty of young buyers with a £5 - £6k bank loan burning a whole in their pocket, and much fewer **usually** older buyers with the budget for a late facelift VVTi, and therefore, the cheaper cars turnover quicker. I didn't drop the price on my VVTi TT6, and eventually a buyer came along. When he did, he knew exactly what he was looking at, had looked at a couple of tired examples from the trader, and the quality of a well maintained, well loved car closed the deal. Hang in there, the right buyer will come along, and definitely don't give it away!
  5. Car now sold. Really gutted, but it has gone to a good home! All the parts went with the car too, so sorry to anyone that was interested in the active spoilers! Look out for it on the forum soon!
  6. Hi, the dials are from Speedhut. They were bought on a group my from Miami ages ago, but you can buy them direct from Speedhut. They modernise the dash, and get rid of the **IMHO** boring stock clocks. Sorry, but the parts go with the car....
  7. Phew, another bump. So many nice Supra's for sale.
  8. THree VVTi's for sale t the same time?! Unprecedented!
  9. Funnily enough I've had no tyre kickers chap. I've made it clear on the phone to all callers that it isn't available for test flights without insurance and a deposit in hand. I'm in no rush to sell, I'll miss the car big time, and there are very very few examples of late year VVTi's on the market... So it seems!
  10. Drop me a PM or give me a call on 07770 931625.
  11. Cheers Tom, much appreciatted. Phew, time for another bump!
