  1. You know - all my 3 sups were the same! Thought that was normal! You sure your handbrake doesn't have a 'disfunction' lol
  2. There is a deposit on the car, and a few people waiting for the outcome, just to let you all know.. Should have more news this week.
  3. Thanks, baby is fun, but hard work, alongside running my own business! Yeah - I'm massively pushed for time, just being realistic with my options. If it doesn't sell, the money that goes into the car over winter - plus the added prices at the start of the next years summer season coming would certainly add to the sale price significantly, so someone could easily swoop in and get a bargain right here and now. Lowish milage TT6 VVTI with all that tech..
  4. Baby is here, business is mental, and sleep is fleeting! Amazing how things ahve changed over the last 3 weeks. As much as it pains me to say I would really like to sell the supra before I undergo paint and seals.. It's a really great car. needs some work, but ready to go to a new home :-/ I have all receipts for the work, and over the years there is a lot money in there. I't my intention to get the seals done in the next 2 weeks, so I would really like to sell her before I start putting my own money in, for it will just be added onto the end price when she comes up for sale again in the spring...
  5. Thanks Guys, yup - she's a machine alright. Sad to see her go, been in my care a long time, but looking forward to the future too :-)
  6. Low offers would always come regardless. I'm in no desperate hurry, need the time more than the money, but if the price is right.. The tt6 is pretty rare these days, This spec and age is very rare, even when I bought her..
  7. OK, heavy heart... In truth I have not used her much in the last 5 years, and I have a newborn coming in 2 months. I don't drive her to her potential, and work harder now than ever. With a newborn, commitments to my business and my sport, she needs a new life... There is some work that needs doing on her now, but I know I don't and will not have the time. My life is just too busy, and it's not going to get any easier.. I bought here from one of the boards old school members back in the day, and have had her since 2008. Good bits: There is a lot in the car - it's a vey high spec, but it needs work to get it tidied up and singing. Spool is very good, response excellent - ecu is brilliant. Just put 4 new tyres on her a week ago. alloys were re-painted a year ago and are perfect aside one scuff. Bad bits: This is where I need to list all the niggles that I simply do not have time to sort :-( - Needs valve seals. Smokes very lightly on startup, but doesn't use any oil. - Could use a re-spray - as the paintwork is tired and it needs some rust sorting on rear arches and some of the body work sorting - Exhaust needs some fab work. Downpipe has a crack - I have a new downpipe, but not had time to get the fab work done to install. - She needs a new set of coilpacks - on long runs in the summer she starts to missfire under heavy boost. Fine when normal running temps. Plugs were replaced recently and have no more than 600 miles on them. - could do with a new bonnet liner. Price - well, you know, I'm open to reasonable offers - I know what it would fetch if 100%, how much it would cost to get it there, know it's a rare example at the moment, but I just don't have the time to sort... This is a fantastic bit of kit for someone who wants a top spec supra but is prepared to do some work. email is; [email protected]
  8. Ha, to be honest I rarely use the car's potential these days, but when you can, and when it's safe, it's quite something. So many new quick production cars these days I'd like to have a drive in a few of the meaty ones to see how they compare. Hard to believe that my car is now 17 years old..
  9. Ordered a complete set of NS2R's. will update in a few weeks.
  10. love the vids on your sig. Think I'd have a heart attack if it were me. lol at the ring taxi..
  11. Hmmm... The pilots scored really badly on those tests, but the old owner of my car back in the day swore by them, and those tests were on a fwd golf. Not exactly capable of doing what I suspect a supra can do to a tyre in the dry. R888 - I did some reading and though expensive, they are supposed to have poor wear, plus I hear they are harsh, camber hunters and wet is "drivable" not really to be trusted. I do have a little experience on aggressive tyres - a set of slicks in the garage which I have used for track days. They are EPIC in the dry, infact overpower the suspension and brakes, but cold, even on a hot day... I can see why they are illegal! lol Johnny can I ask - you enjoying the GT-R? Is it enjoyable to drive? You miss the supra at all?
  12. Hi All, Been a while since I posted. I'm looking for a new set of rears; 275/35 R18, and I have always used Goodyear Eagle F1's (as the car was a daily driver and I used to do miles in the wet). However I was always aware that the F1 doesnt like power and dry roads - mine would turn to treacle if you showed them any spirit. So I started looking at reviews. Specifically this caught my eyes; Best tyres: evo Tyre Test 2015 and when started looking at getting some of these, - the winner being I discovered that they don't make these, and half the other tyres in the test, in the size I need. Seems 18" is old school!... just like me ;-) So what do people recommend these days? Dry, takes decent power (I run 600hp+), and progressive... ?
  13. just watched this... *not going* lol
