  1. I keep thinking about doing mine but have never get round to doing it. http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=296315&highlight=turn+signal http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116482&pp=25&highlight=fog+light+mod
  2. You've got it all wrong. I've done it at the most twice before and I can even remember the location. I realised that it was impossible to do so I never did it again, I would always pull over. I stopped long before the law was introduced and at least I had the honesty to admit it, my job involves an awful lot of driving around town with my phone ringing many times in a day. I've ignored it for years and let them leave a message if it's important. What about you?
  3. I'm not conviced that the poor standard of Supra's in the UK is due to recent imports, but obviously there has been an increase in numbers on the road. The age and condition of the early imports I would say has reduced their value and condition, many alternatives nowadays too.
  4. You're both very fortunate indeed, a miracle you both could walk way. That's probably one of the most wrecked supra's that I've ever seen.
  5. The reason why people still do these things is because the punishments aren't severe enough, there needs to be a deterrent. Maybe I did overstate what the punishments should be but there has to be a significant increase over what they are now with a publicity campaign. Speeding isn't good either but I only do it on motorways when there's very little traffic about which is very often the case where I live. I've barely gone over the speed limit in recent years. It wouldn't particularly bother me if they increased the penalties for this too, I would just have to slow down and live with it like eveyone else. I haven't and I drive a lot. A few years ago I used to have a look to see who's calling and then put the phone down on the seat, I don't do that anymore.
  6. I'm not talking about speeding, rather drink driving and using a phone. I do speed occasionally, only on a motorway and in a quick burst then I slow down again. I've never used the phone whilst driving since the new law was introduced. I could've had a few lagers at my brother in laws house the other day. He gave me a full glass which was maybe half a pint, I only drank half and poured the rest away when he wasn't looking.
  7. I agree. How many drivers after a drink think they're capable of driving normally? I feel that we need a deterrent that will work. Maybe the law needs to be changed so that drinking any amount and driving would be a criminal offence with a significant jail sentence and a massive financial penalty, the same goes for using a mobile phone. Offenders should have their lives ruined because that's what will happen to their victims, they're playing russian roulette with innocent members of the public which is intolerable!
  8. Have a look on Supraforums, Elmhurst Toyota section. Quite a few members have asked for the price of these.
  9. That's all that counts at the end of the day.
  10. I'll be honest, it looks absolutely ridiculous. I'm always amazed at the lengths some people go to ruin a perfectly good car.
  11. Good, he's been on the decline since he was acquitted 13 years ago. I wonder how he'll be treated in prison?
  12. I think you're going to be right there.

    Exhaust Rubbers

Here's a pic of mine. They're expensive at Halfords. Any half decent car accessory shop will sell them, I'm sure the bloke in the shop would have a quick look at the exhaust and give you the correct ones.
  14. Both pictures show shiny lips, they aren't the best of pics either so I cannot decide between them.
  15. I would only recommend one that has a very low minimum speed, especially important for when you first apply the polish. Too fast like 1000rpm and the polish can go everywhere.
  16. The TRD wheel with airbag, but Nic's last post in this thread: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=147406 An alternative supplier with stock?
  17. It goes very well with the mats.
  18. I'm really sorry to hear this, she looks lovely. We've got our own cat but another local cat has been visiting us too, he looked old. We realised he was sleeping outside amongst some cardboard so we let him come in and sleep on the settee and we tried to clean him up as his fur was knotted. He was so friendly, we haven't seen him for almost three weeks now, we're fearing the worst.
  19. Thanks everyone for the advice, I didn't expect to get this many replies on a car forum. I might make this new company a reasonable offer for this stock. The original supply company would give me price reductions on stock that wasn't selling and every six weeks I could return all of the stock that was unsold, it doesn't seem right if I cannot get the same terms with the new company.
  20. I do have a written contract. The administrators did offer the stock to me at a good price but I didn't acknowledge that I would take their offer for various reasons. I would've taken their offer if they had given an expiry date, two months later they sent me a letter withdrawing the offer with immediate effect. My contract was terminated and the stock was sold to another company subject to and on the terms set out in this contact. They're now demanding payment. I'm not trying to find a breach in contract because they went out of business but trying to invalidate the original contract I signed in 2005 if I can find part of this contract that was illegal or not adhered to.
  21. Anyone know about business law? I've been working as self-employed direct sales agent, the company that supply the stock to me has gone into administration after a decline. The stock that they deliver to me remains their property until I sell it, I do have a contract with them. If I can find a breach of contact however insignificant would this make the whole contract invalid and give me a chance of retaining this stock without making payment for it. Thanks It's not exactly the ideal forum to ask questions like this, I've been to the CAB and they can't help. I've asked this question on a few business forums without getting any replies. I'm more than likely going to see a solicitor but it would be nice to know if I had any hope at all in proving their contract invalid before I pay for an expensive solicitor that I can't really afford.

    Nuts

What about taking one off the car and comparing it with a picture of a new one. As far as I remember the thread is M12 x 1.5
  23. When I had condensation in mine I just removed the bulbs and used the hairdryer/heatgun to apply heat evenly to the lens (don't melt them ) so the air warms up in the headlight and evaporates the water which leaves through the empty bulb sockets.
  24. I think you might be getting confused with the cost of having a manual gearbox fitted into an auto car. You've got to ask the question, why was a newer model introduced? It's not like a car registration plate. It's obviously not the same.
  25. To be honest I don't think Porsche would be so naive to accuse another manufacturer of doing this if it there wasn't any truth in what they claim. Can you imagine the embarrassment if they were proved to be wrong? They do know one or two things about getting a car around a track quickly!
