  1. Howling at their age. The puppy and alsation are great.
  2. You're right there. That's the trouble I suppose, it's not easy finding garages that you can trust.
  3. There's nothing to discuss, I understand what you're saying about quik fit type garages. Recommended garages are the ones to use whether you prefer specialist or not.
  4. It is, I've got a vvti too.
  5. Isn't that stating the obvious? Who suggested taking it to that sort of garage then? There's nothing specialist about changing the timing belt, my point was that you don't have to search high and low looking for a specialist garage to get that sort of work done. Changing the timing belt is so so simple, there're plenty of good garages out there that are more than capable. Afterall we're only taking about a car, the basic mechanics of which haven't changed in decades.
  6. You don't need a specialist at all, there's nothing unusual about the Supra.
  7. It doesn't really matter if you have 16,17,18 or 19" wheels, you try to keep the tyre diameter more or less what it would be with stock wheels/tyres fitted. You do this by decreasing the tyre sidewall height when you fit larger wheels.
  8. They wheels do look different for some reason, I'm not sure if it's the size. I bought Volk GTC's - 19" after seeing this photo.
  9. 10 most common dog bite claim breeds Staffordshire Terrier – 279 Cattle Dog - 208 Rottweiler - 173 German Shepherd - 166 Pit Bull - 133 Kelpie - 100 Bullmastiff - 90 Labrador - 83 Bull Terrier - 74 Terrier - 66 I'm sure that the only reason that the labrador is surprisingly high is because of their popularity. The percentage of labradors that bite must be very very low.
  10. That was nice of them, I wonder how much you'll get for that then?
  11. Here it is from their website, so they gave you a decat pipe for free?
  12. That's unusual, a decat pipe included with the exhaust . What make and model is the exhaust?
  13. The picture at the top which shows the three sections , is that just the exhaust or is the decat pipe in the pic aswell?
  14. If I had bought a UK spec car then more than likely I would've defended it's superiority. But because I bought a Jap spec car I defend it's superiority.
  15. It definately sounds like you need a new battery.
  16. Having nice wheels on a car makes so much difference.
  17. It looks like those ones are only used when installing the Kics wheel spacers. For normal hub centric rings you'll need: The hub diameter on the Supra is 60.1 (inside diameter) Outside dameter is what you'll need to fit your particular wheel. Like these. Aluminium rather than plastic will be better but they aren't always available.
  18. The carrier is part of the J spec caliper assembly. UK brakes don't have a carrier.
  19. Remove the EFI No 1 fuse located on the left side of the engine bay under the black plastic cover, I forget exactly how long it needs to be out but 1 min will do the trick. Or disconnnect the battery like Tricky Ricky has suggested.
  20. Just like JustGav has said,it looks like the gauge/sensor are to blame.
  21. What pressure do you get when the ignition is on but the engine isn't running? I tapped into the turbo pressure sensor tubing on mine, it's difficult to tell from the picture, as long as you've fitted the T piece in the hose that goes to the turbo pressure sensor then it should be okay. It's obviously important that the new hoses won't come loose at any stage in the future and give the turbo pressure sensor incorrect readings , did you get a nice tight fit with the hoses?
  22. What pressure does the gauge show when you have the ignition on before you start it up? 4.2 psi is low, 0.3 bar. You should be getting almost 0.8 bar max if the Aristo is the same as the Supra. It is normal to have a negative pressure or partial vaccuum when you start the car up as the engine is sucking air in from the intake manifold, I'm not sure what the the average pressure should be . When the turbo's are forcing air into the intake manifold you'll have a positive pressure.
